Players of the Week: Mid-Del edition

The Mid-Del football player of the week this week is Carl Albert quarterback J.T. Realmuto.

Realmuto bounced back from a tough opener against Tulsa Washington to throw for 178 yards and a touchdown and run for 127 and two scores in the Titans win over Choctaw.
When Realmuto is on, Carl Albert’s offense is going to be tough to stop. He gives the Titans’ offense a capable thrower who can run when needed. Realmuto is a star in three sports at Carl Albert who is likely to play baseball in college.

James Flanders, Midwest City: Flanders had 90 yards and two touchdowns in the Bombers’ 48-0 win over Moore.
Greg Johnson, Del City: Johnson ran for 138 yards and a touchdown in Del City’s 19-7 win over Norman.
Markell Walker, Carl Albert: Two interceptions in the Titans’ win over Choctaw 
Kenton Whittington, Carl Albert: 16 tackles in the Titans’ win over Choctaw
CROSS COUNTRY
The Mid-Del cross country player of the week is Midwest City’s Jason Thompson. Thompson ran 18:22 at the Norman Cross Country meet. He has a 4.17 GPA

Shameka Sanders, Del City: Sanders ran the 2.0 mile course at the John Marshall meet Friday in 13:45, winning the meet.
 
SOFTBALL
The Mid-Del softball player of the week is Midwest City’s Caitlin O’Hagan. O’Hagan, Midwest City’s senior first baseman, has hit .500 in the Bombers’ last six games with 6 RBIs and a home run. She’s started at first for the Bombers since her freshman year and has a 4.0 GPA.
