Not a lot of action going on here with Porter’s win over Depew dealing the only loss to a top-10 team. I decided just to flip flop the teams since the game was just a six-point win and the teams were obviously close to evenly matched. Watts, Copan and Ryan are waiting for a team or two to lose to jump up into the top 10.

I hate, Hate, HATE doing Class C rankings early in the season. Because many of the top teams are playing top 10-15 Class B teams during non-district and the results can skew things. So I’m pretty much holding status quo here despite some lopsided losses. I did flop Seiling, which beat Sharon-Mutual big, with Temple, which lost to Ryan. I think Buffalo, Covington-Douglas and Thackerville will all be top 8-10 teams this season, but we need to start seeing them prove it next week. Maud and Boise City are hanging out just outside the top 10.
