Mustang doesn’t HAVE to overlook Del City for Del City to win this one. Del City will be up for this game and has more confidence than they have had in years. Gonzales, like Webster, is a threat to pass or run. Del City has their best group of receivers since at the very least 2003 (Jamal Butler), and probably dating back to the Mike Woods/Mario Boone days. Add this to the fire that they are playing a qb that used to play at DC. A win keeps Del City in the playoff race. It should be a battle.

I don’t know that I would hold my breath if I were Del City….. they will definitely pass out from oxygen depravation if they are thinking that they can beat Mustang. But that’s ok, you guys have fun thinking that you can!!!! One thing to remember though… while others may not be giving Mustang a second thought or are looking past the game at hand and worrrying about how they will fare in the playoffs, Mustang is just taking one game at a time and not overlooking ANYONE. So rest assured that Mustang is mentally prepared to face the Eagles.

If Norman North loses to Santa Fe, which I think they will, and DC upsets Mustang and beats Putnam North they will definitely get in and Norman North won’t even make the playoffs.

Dc could still make the playoffs with two more wins making them 4-3 in district and 5-5 overall. This team is young and has alot of talent. DC junior high program Kerr is strong too, boasting a win over rival MWC junior high Monroney. So look out! It won’t be too long before Del City is back to it’s winning ways and drops to 5A.
