There are so many different things that have to be considered when purchasing baby furniture. I did some research on baby crib-safety and found that there are specific crib safety standards – if you verify that your new crib adheres to these safety standards, you can be sure that there will be no harm caused by the crib – design / layout itself. Mandatory industry safety standards as set by the Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC). In addition, there are voluntary standards set by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM). Cribs that meet or exceed these safety standards are certified by the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA). So watch for a JPMA certification if you purchase a new crib, to assure the maximum safety for your baby or toddler. Andrea from baby furniture cribs
