Toby Keith raps with Will Smith
Country singer Toby Keith performed country music on stage during the Nobel Peace Prize concert in Norway.
But during the after-party, Keith let loose and performed a rap song with Will Smith and Wyclef Jean. He performed the classic rap song ”Rapper’s Delight” by Sugarhill Gang.
Surprisingly, Keith knew the lyrics to the song, and he did a good job rapping. Fast forward the video clip to 1:45, and you will hear him rap.

Toby Keith launches clothing line
Apparently country singer Toby Keith thinks he’s a fantastic dresser.
He’s launching a new clothing line titled TK Steelman on Feb. 18 at his I Love This Bar and Grill locsation in Las Vegas.
According to CMT, the clothing line will feature sleeveless shirts, long-sleeve shirt, polo shirts, T-shirts, sweatshirts, baseball hats, cowboy hats, bandannas and belts.
They will be sold at various retail stores. He also will have a women’s clothing line which will launch later this year.
Although I support Toby’s entrepreneurial endeavors, you won’t see me wearing any of his clothes. His wardrobe is nowhere near my style. But good luck to him.

Toby Keith skips the CMA Awards show
Toby Keith is not too happy with the CMA Awards officials. Which is why he decided to skip the award show altogether Wednesday night (Nov. 12).
In an interview with People magazine, Toby said “I know everybody is going to say it’s sour grapes, but I don’t care, it’s not. I haven’t been to a CMA Awards show in four years. They screwed me ’till I finally saw the light. You do your own math on that and figure out what you think about that show.”
Toby was referring to how the award show has snubbed him when it comes to receiving awards.
He has been nominated 27 times but he has only taken home two awards–in 2001 and 2005.
He also accused the show of playing politics when it comes to choosing the winners.
I agree with Toby on this one. His albums always go to number one, and he always outsells other country musicians when it comes to selling concert tickets. I think he deserves more awards than he gets from the CMA.
Toby usually winner a lot of awards at other shows, but the CMA officials tend to ignore him by shutting him out when it comes to winning.
Toby has never held his tongue. He’s known for being straight forward and always speaking his mind. Therefore, maybe he just rubbed someone the wrong way at the CMA.
While Toby is unhappy with the CMA, I’m sure his fellow Oklahoma native Carrie Underwood is excited with the CMA’s because she won the female vocalist of the year award during Wednesday’s telecast.

Toby Keith is no longer a Democrat
The Democratic Party has lost a country musician as one of its supporters.
In an interview with CMT, Toby Keith said he is leaving the Democratic Party and becoming and Independent.
He said “I’ve been a lifetime Democrat, and I’m re-registering this year as an independent,” he said. “It’s strictly because my party, that I’ve been affiliated with all these years, doesn’t stand for anything that I stand for anymore.”
He also disapproves of the way the Democrats are attacking vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin. He believes the Republican ticket will win because the attacks on Palin will backfire.
He said “I’ve never been a huge John McCain fan. I appreciate everything he did for this country. But at the same time, the wackos are hammering her so hard, that they’re gonna make that ticket win. They’ve got a chance to win it, and they’re gonna blow it by hammering her. If the Democrats ever had a chance, after that Democratic convention, to win it, they blew everything they had by attacking her. The extreme nuts on the right side aren’t going after Biden. There are right wing magazines out there. Not as many as the lefties, but all the right wing magazines aren’t going after Biden.”
I wonder who Toby will end up voting for. He never said whether he will actually vote for McCain.
Since he’s an Independent now, I wonder if he will vote for the spoiler candidates Ralph Nader or Ron Paul?
