Queen Latifah will sing at the Oscar’s
Actress/rapper Queen Latifah will perform at the Academy Awards.
Latifah will be singing “I’ll Be Seeing You” during the In Memoriam segment of the show which honors entertainers who died during the past year.
The awards show will air Feb. 22 on ABC.
Queen Latifah’s jewelry stolen from hotel room
First someone stole $2 million Jewelry from Paris Hilton’s home two weeks ago. Now, Queen Latifah is the latest jewelry theft victim.
About $10,000 in jewelry was stolen from Queen Latifah’s luxury hotel room in Tobago.
It’s believed that it was stolen from a hotel employee. Queen Latifiah paid $1,000 per night to stay in this hotel, so she probably assumed that her belongings would be safe. Well, she was wrong.
Latifah makes enough money to overcome this $10,000 loss, but it still sucks to lose jewelry especially if it’s a family heirloom or something.

Queen Latifah refuses to respond to gay rumors
It’s long been rumored in the entertainment industry that Queen Latifah might be a lesbian.
In an interview with New York Times, she declines to discuss her sexuality with the public or the media.
She said, “I don’t have a problem discussing the topic of somebody being gay, but I do have a problem discussing my personal life. You don’t get that part of me. Sorry. We’re not discussing it in our meetings, we’re not discussing it at Cover Girl. Nobody gets that. I don’t feel like I need to share my personal life, and I don’t care if people think I’m gay or not,” she said. Assume whatever you want. You do it anyway.”
Good for her. She is a great rapper, actress and business woman, and her sexuality should not be up for discussion during interviews with journalists and the public.
I think if there are rumors circulating that a celebrity is gay, then journalists feel compelled to ask them questions about their sexuality.
Have you ever heard a journalist ask a straight person whether or not they are straight? You probably have not.

Queen Latifah will portray Gwen Ifill on Saturday Night Live
I guess Saturday Night Live isn’t quite finished with Sarah Palin.
The late night comedy show is considering this week another skit portraying the vice presidential candidate.
This time, the show will parody the vice presidential debate between Palin and Joe Biden.
According to People magazine, they have booked Queen Latifah to play debate moderator Gwen Ifill.
It’s unknown who will portray Joe Biden or whether Tina Fey will return to portray Sarah Palin–a role that she does so perfectly.
There is still a chance the skit might not make it on the air because Saturday Night Live doesn’t determine the final skits until right before the show airs.
Every time Sarah Palin is being mocked in a skit on that show the ratings increase.
My guess is that the skit will definitely make it on the show because the producers want to keep the ratings high.
