Miley Cyrus ‘Can’t Be Tamed’

Here’s the new Miley Cyrus video that’s got everyone in a tizzy– that cute little Hannah Montana is growing up fast. Too fast, according to many parents whose little girls practically worship the teen star. They think Cyrus’ new image sends a bad message to her little girl fans. Here’s what US Magazine had to say about Cyrus’ own parents’ take on the video.

What does Billy Ray Cyrus think of his 17-year-old daughter Miley’s racy new music video — which features her grinding with guys and cavorting in a $25,000 corset?

“My dad loves it,” the former Disney star tells MTV News of the vid for “Can’t Be Tamed,” which was released last Tuesday.

“I think my dad was thinking I was a little crazy while I was writing it because when you’re hearing ‘feathers coming out of your hands,’ [you think] ‘oh wow, looks crazy!’” Miley says.

“They were so proud of the treatment that I came up for it with my good friend Jamal,” continues Miley, referring to choreographer Jamal Sims.

In fact, Miley’s mom, Tish, “was on set,” she says.

This isn’t the first time Miley’s parents have defended her controversial moves.

After she pole danced at the Teen Choice Awards in 2009, Billy Ray said, “I just think that Miley loves entertaining people… I give my kids a lot of freedom to make the art they wanna make, and make it in their own voice. I think it’s important.”

Miley Cyrus’ reign as Hannah Montana might be coming to an end.  The hit Disney channel television show will likely end after the 2010 season, network executives announced.

In a news release issued to media organizations, programming executive Adam Bonnett said “You never know in this business, but right now, we’re scheduled to wrap after shooting this new batch of episodes.

The popular television show made Cyrus a household name, and it’s been a big moneymaker for Cyrus and the Disney network since it debuted in 2006.

Two films based on the television show were released in movie theaters, and they earned a combined $226 million worldwide at the box office.

Cyrus raked in $25 million from June 2008 to June 2009, according to Forbes. By the way, I think it should be illegal for teenagers to be millionaires while hardworking adults like myself are living paycheck to paycheck. But that’s another story.

It’s unknown what the star will do when the show ends, but she will probably venture out into more movie roles and continue her music career.

The “Hannah Montana” series has a cult-like following.  It seems like young girls from everywhere flock to anything related to “Hannah Montana,” including movies, merchandise, clothes, CD’s, concerts, etc.

Cyrus will turn 18 in November.  Although it’s a risky move to leave the popular series, it’s a good way to expand her career beyond the “Hannah Montana” franchise and to make sure she doesn’t become typecast.

After all, she can’t play the same adolescent character forever.

Miley Cyrus performs with stripper pole

miley-cyrus-stripper-poleMiley Cyrus raised eyebrows when she performed during the Teen Choice Awards using a stripper pole.

Miley’s father Billy Ray Cyrus defended his daughter Thursday during an interview with Access Hollywood.  He said “You know what? I just think that Miley loves entertaining people.  She loves singing and songwriting.  I always tell her to love what you’re doing and stay focused for the love of the art and not worry so much about opinion.”

In an interview with US Weekly magazine he said “I give my kids a lot of freedom to make the art they wanna make, and make it in their own voice.  I think it’s important.”

Miley’s show “Hanna Montana” airs on the Disney network.  Disney executives distanced themselves from the controversy.  They released a statement that said “Disney Channel won’t be commenting on that performance, although parents can rest assured that all content presented on the Disney Channel is age-appropriate for our audience — kids 6-14 — and consistent with what our brand values are.”

Now, I certainly have nothing against watching females dance around a stripper pole—as long as they are adult females.  Miley is not an adult.  She’s only 16 years old.  She’s still a child.  I think she should wait a few more years before she starts using poles.

mariah-carey-1mariah-carey

Fans of pop star Mariah Carey will be disappointed to learn the release date for her new CD “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel” is being postponed again.

Carey posted a message on her Web site that said “Mariah is putting the finishing touches on her newest album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, and we have shifted all of our TV and promo appearances to coincide with the new release date of September 29th. We can’t wait for the fans to hear the new album!!”

The CD was originally scheduled for release Aug. 25, then it was postponed to Sept. 15.  Now, the new date is Sept. 29.

Her song “Obsessed” is currently number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Carey also cancelled a concert performance on NBC’s “Today Show” scheduled for Aug. 28.  She will be replaced by Miley Cyrus.

Miley Cyrus alleged stalker charged

mark-mcleod

A 53-year-old man faces charges accused of stalking teenybopper Miley Cyrus.

According to the Associated Press, Mark McLeod believed he is in a relationship with Miley.  Police arrested him when he showed up at her movie set.

Police said he was knocking on doors at homes near the movie set searching for Miley.

Police also said McLeod told them Billy Ray Cyrus approved of their relationship, and Miley sent him secret messages through her Hannah Montana television show.

Miley Cyrus feuding with Radiohead

radioheadMiley Cyrus is feuding with members of the rock group Radiohead.  Who would have thought?

The feud began when Miley tried to meet the group backstage at the Grammy’s.  The group refused to meet her, so she became upset.

Miley later blasted them on a radio program referring to them as “Stinking Radiohead.” She also said “I’m going to ruin them.  I’m going to tell everyone.”People Miley Cyrus

A spokesperson for the group said “When Miley grows up, she’ll learn not to have a sense of entitlement.”

Miley should learn that just because you’re a big fan of someone, that doesn’t mean that YOU have the right to meet them.

I am a fan of several celebrities, and none of them are willing to let me meet them, and  I don’t take it personal.  Miley shouldn’t take it personal either.

She might be a big star, but that doesn’t mean everyone wants to meet her.  Apparently Radiohead is not a fan of hers.

On the other hand, Radiohead’s popularity faded a long time ago.  Many people don’ t even know who they are anymore.

If they were smart, they would have met Miley and took some pictures with her on the red carpet so it can appear in magazines, and they can gain some publicity, which would increase album sales.

Plus, Miley could have helped them reach a younger audience.  It’s too late now though.  They burned their bridges with her.

Miley Cyrus has a heart condition

miley-cyrus-1

Teenybopper entertainment Miley Cyrus revealed she suffers from a heart condition tachycardia, which causes the heart rate to speed up.

In her new autobiography “Miles To Go” she said “The type of tachycardia I have isn’t dangerous.  It won’t hurt me, but it does bother me. There is never a time onstage when I’m not thinking about my heart.”

Miley is a 16-year-old multi-millionaire, and she has more cash flow than any teenager in the country.  All she has to do is rub her money over hear heart and I’m sure it will heal it.

It’s amazing how healing a million dollars can be.

Miley Cyrus releases autobiography

Miley Cyrus Miles to go

Miley Cyrus is only 16 years old, but yet she released her autobiography this week where she will talked about her life experiences.

In the book titled “Miles To Go,” she talks about being bullied in elementary school, and how people used to steal her books and lock her in the bathroom.

Miley said, “Sometimes I wish I could get an apology, but to be honest I don’t need one.”

That is correct. Miley doesn’t need to apologize.  She’s one of the most wealthies kids in the country.  All she has to do is appear on television and the bullies will see her success, and that’s the ultimate revenge.

Also in the book, she talks about her ex-boyfriend Nick Jonas.

I personally have no interest in reading this teenybopper book, but I’m sure her real fan base will read it from cover to cover.

Miley Cyrus sued for $4 billion

Miley Cyrus A woman filed a lawsuit against teenybop singer Miley Cyrus this week, and you’ll never guess how much she is being sued for–$4 billion.  Yes, $4 billion with a “B”

Cyrus was photographed slanting her eyes in a picture, and many people in the Asian-American community were offended.  The plaintiff, Lucie Kim filed the $4 billion lawsuit  saying she is representing one million Asians who live in Los Angeles County.

Cyrus said she wasn’t making fun of anyone’s ethnicity in the photo.  She claims she was just making a goofy face.

Whether you believe her, the fact is she can’t afford to pay that $4 billion lawsuit.  She’s a millionaire, but she’s nowhere near being a billionaire.  She’s not Oprah.

The plaintiff should reduce the lawsuit to $1 million, then she might have a better chance of winning.

Miley’s number one again, and I’m jealous

miley1.jpg

Is it crazy for an adult to be so jealous of a little kid. Miley’s latest CD titled Breakout debuted at number one this week selling 371,000 copies.

Which basically means that she is even richer than she was last week. I admit that I’m very jealous.

I wish I was a multi-millionaire and could travel the world and by myself anything at the age of 15 and 16 years old. Instead, I was stuck flipping burgers at Burger King when I was 16 years old.

I don’t quite understand the whole Miley Cyrus and Hannah Montana phenomenon. She doesn’t have a great voice, she can’t dance and she probably will never be considered from an Oscar award.

However, her movies always sell well, her CD’s go to number one and her concerts sell out fast. Maybe i’m the one who’s out of touch with society. Maybe I just don’t get it.

Miley speaks

miley.jpg

Miley Cyrus was on “Good Morning America” this week to talk about her new CD, and she also answered some questions about that infamous provacative photo shoot that she did with Vanity Fair magazine.

She said “People need to remember that I am young and that I do have feelings.”

I can respect that about her. She’s only 15 and maybe the public came down a little hard on her after that photo shoot.

I have a very strict policy where I will never make fun of kids who are under the age of 18. Which is why I never commented on that topless photo shoot or those risque pictures that a hacker found on her cell phone.

However, the second she turns 18 years old, trust and believe that I will be the first one to sick the gossip hounds on her. I’m patiently waiting.
