Kid Cudi mistakenly handcuffed by police

Hip hop star Kid Cudi was handcuffed by police after a photo shoot in Los Angeles this week.
The rapper was being photographed for the magazine New Music Expresson Monday. Kid Cudi, and members of his entourage, left the magazine shoot when they were stopped by police.
According to MTV, police made all passengers exit the three vehicles, and they forced them on their knees. Some of the passengers were handcuffed, including Kid Cudi.
About 10 police officers pointed their weapons and a police helicopter circled the area. Kid Cudi and the other passengers were released when police determined it was a case of mistaken identity, according to MTV.
Police were responding to a phone call they received, and the caller said a group of men were looting nearby. So, police assumed Kid Cudi and his entourage were somehow involved in the looting.
It’s good no one falsely went to jail, but it’s still humiliating and intimidating to have police officers point their guns at you and place you in handcuffs when you’ve done nothing wrong.
Although they haven’t done it yet, I’m hoping the LAPD will issue a public apology to Kid Cudi. If he were guilty, they wouldn’t be shy about telling everyone about it. Therefore, since he was innocent, they shouldn’t be shy about it either.
