Brian Dunkleman responds to Ryan Seacrest joke on American Idol

Remember way back in the day when there was were two hosts on “American Idol” during the first season in 2002? They were Ryan Seacrest and Brian Dunkleman.

Dunkleman left the show after the first season and Seacrest was the only host standing.

If you watched the April 13 episode of “American Idol,” you heard Seacrest make a joke about Dunkleman.  But the joke wasn’t funny whatsoever. It was lame.  Seacrest jokingly told the audience Dunkleman will host a portion of “Idol Gives Back.”

Instead of laughing, the audience members clapped.  During an interview with TV.com, Dunkleman responded to Seacrest’s so called “joke.”

Excerpts from the interview are posted below.

TV.com:You’ve mentioned that you don’t watch American Idol, but when Ryan Seacrest mentioned your name, you got a pretty warm response from the audience.

Brian Dunkleman: Yeah, that was very cool. People really came to my defense, which is a satisfying thing.

TV.com:Do you think Seacrest intended it as a slight?

Brian Dunkleman:Yeah, I think so, sure—but it was a joke. Well, it was an attempt at a joke. But unfortunately for Ryan, instead of a laugh, he got applause. That’s never really been his strong suit. But it was a joke, and whether it was mean-spirited or not is irrelevant. A joke’s a joke; you can either take it or you can’t. And quite honestly, once you’ve had Jimmy Kimmel say in a monologue that you should be punched in the face, and at this point you’d probably be receptive to a knife in the gut, I think what Seacrest said was pretty tame.

TV.com:Ever since Simon Cowell announced that he’s not coming back this year, Seacrest has seemed a little rambunctious.

Brian Dunkleman:That’s why the timing doesn’t surprise me. Dancing with the Stars has replacedIdol as the number one show for, what, the last two weeks? I’m sure that’s sending Seacrest into a panic. It’s not surprising that he would act crazy to get attention, or throw my name out there—he’s done things like this before.

India Arie critical of Lady Gaga, Beyonce video

(AP Photo/Jeff Christensen)

Millions of fans around the world loved the new Lady Gaga and Beyonce music video titled “Telephone.”  But R&B singer India Arie is no fan of the video

Arie posted a series of tweets on her Twitter page, and she was critical of the music video because it had questionable content.  Her tweets are posted below.

For someone who doesn’t like the video, she sure did spend a lot of time talking about the video.

“Don’t be offended this is all MY opinion… Am I the only one who thinks the “Telephone” video is going a bit too far?

“I’m not referring to the abstract nature of the video … I’m talking about the IMAGERY – the unspoken back story, the language the message.”

“I agree gaga is being her image .. I dig her creative mind But still … There’s a such thing as socially irresponsible… I’m just sayin.”

“Its not long before somebody does a straight NAKED video. Not like Alanis morrisette “thank you india” like NAKED dancing around. LOL hahaha”

“Let’s be CLEAR! I know it gaga M.O. – I don’t live under a rock. And I get that a lot of work put into it. I’m talking social responsibility.”

“There’s an artist ever 10 years who pushes the envelope … but its bout to fall off the Table. When is it too far?”

“I respect the creative mind but disagree with the “choices” as a dish meant to be served for mass consumption”

“Crazy to me that the Dark, underbelly, so shock at all cost thing is a TREND like asymetrical hair and big shoulder jackets .Slippery slope!”

Why didn’t celebrities reach out to Corey Haim?

During the past week, I’ve seen celebrities paying their respects to actor Corey Haim this week on entertainment news shows, at movie premieres and on their Twitter and Facebook pages.

Haim, 38, died March 10 at his mother’s California apartment.  His private funeral was held March 16.

Haim’s best friend and frequent acting partner Corey Feldman said something interesting to Larry King during a recent interview.

He said,

“At the end of the day, where were all these people the last 10 years, the last 15 years of Corey’s life? Where were all these people to lend a hand–to reach out to him and say, ‘You know, you’re a legend. You’re an amazingly talented, wonderful person who’s really never gone out of his way to hurt anybody other than himself?’”

Feldman makes a good point. If all of these celebrities loved Haim and were friends with him, then why didn’t anyone try to lend a helping hand during the past 15 years when his life spiraled out of control due to drug use?

It doesn’t do any good to reach out to him while he’s dead.

The same thing can be said about Michael Jackson. Celebrities distanced themselves from Jackson during the past 15 years while his life spiraled out of control with prescription drug abuse among other behaviors.

But when he died, hundreds of celebrities showed their support by attending or performing at his funeral or participating in numerous tribute projects.

His memorial service looked like a red carpet event for the Academy Awards. Celebrities were popping up out of nowhere.

Jackson could have used that support while he was alive. It doesn’t do any good to reach out to him while he’s dead.

AC/DC singer criticizes Bono

Every time a tragedy occurs, U2 singer Bono is always in front of the camera raising money for charity or in Washington D.C. speaking to lawmakers.

During concerts, he also tries to lecture his fans about the need to perform charity work and make a difference.

I don’t see anything wrong with that, but apparently AC/DC singer Brian Johnson does.  In an interview with the Herald Sun Web site, Johnson said

“When I was a working man, I didn’t want to go to a concert for some bastard to talk down to me that I should be thinking of some kid in Africa.  I’m sorry mate, do it yourself, spend some of your own money and get it done. It just makes me angry. I become all tyrannical.  Do a charity gig, fair enough, but not on worldwide television.  I do it myself, I don’t tell everybody I’m doing it.  I don’t tell everybody they should give money. They can’t afford it.”

I can somewhat understand where Johnson is coming from, but I think Bono has been effective by being so outspoken.

He spends a lot of time raising awareness about important issues that need to be discussed.

If you’re given a public platform where you can raise awareness about charitable causes, then do it.  As long as you’re staying positive, I see nothing wrong with trying to motivate your fans to become more charitable too.

Brittany Murphy’s husband blames death on movie studio

Brittany Murphy’s widower Simon Monjack is blaming Warner Brothers for the death of his late wife Brittany Murphy.

The actress died Dec. 20 in her home.

Monjack said Warner Brothers fired Murphy from the sequel to the animated film “Happy Feet.” The firing happened two weeks before she died.

In an interview with the Daily Beast, Monjack said “She was devasted.  They killed her.  It’s a cruel town.  You’re disposable as an actress or actor.”

Monjack says he plans to file a lawsuit against the movie studio for indirectly contributing to her death.

Murphy was too young to die. She was only 32 years old, so it’s understandable why Monjack wants to point the finger at someone.  It’s part of the grieving process.

But Warner Brothers is not responsible for Murphy’s death.  People get fired or laid off on a regular basis, especially with our current economy.

The Los Angeles coroner’s office has not yet released the cause of death.  Unless the certificate says “death caused by Warner Brothers,” I don’t think the movie studio should be held responsible.

Jay Leno tells his side of the story

The drama among Jay Leno, Conan O’Brien and NBC has dominated entertainment news programs during the past month.  Now, Leno tells his side of the story.  The Associated Press story is posted below via NewsOK.

BY LYNN ELBER, ASSOCIATED PRESS

Jay Leno turned serious on his show to discuss the late-night chaos at NBC, telling viewers that he’d been doubtful about launching a prime-time show but was prevented by NBC from going to another network instead.

Last week, after NBC announced plans to move “The Jay Leno Show” to 10:35 p.m. and bump “The Tonight Show With Conan O’Brien” to…

Leno, in explaining events from his standpoint, also said Monday that he had told NBC he’d return to the “Tonight” slot only after Conan O’Brien rejected the network’s plan to put both men on in late night.

NBC continued negotiations Monday on an exit deal with O’Brien that would clear the way for Leno to reclaim the 11:35 p.m. EST slot occupied by “Tonight,” which he hosted for 17 years before turning it over to O’Brien last spring.

The network is ending its prime-time experiment, “The Jay Leno Show,” because of low ratings and affiliate station complaints.  When NBC told him they wanted to end his new show, Leno told viewers Monday, he asked to be released from his contract.

“‘No, you’re still a valuable asset to this company,”‘ he said the network told him. His reply: “How valuable can I be? You fired me twice.”

That was a reference to NBC’s decision six years ago to ask him to eventually make way for O’Brien to take over “Tonight,” which Leno kept atop the ratings until he left.

He and O’Brien have traded increasingly edgy monologue jokes as NBC tries to extricate itself from its scheduling mess, but Leno told viewers his attitude toward his colleague is unchanged.

“Through all of this, Conan O’Brien has been a gentleman. He’s a good guy, I have no animosity toward him. This is all business,” Leno said. “You know, folks, if you don’t get the ratings, they take you off the air.”

Neither of them was a ratings winner, he said, either with “The Jay Leno Show” at 10 p.m. EST or O’Brien’s “Tonight.”

O’Brien did not immediately respond to a request for comment Monday night.

Leno gave his audience a history lesson, or what alternately might have seemed a skillfully timed effort to repair any damage to Leno’s trademark heart-of-gold image before the deal is made official, as soon as Tuesday.

In his recitation, Leno opened with an NBC executive telling him in 2004 that he would have to surrender “Tonight” to O’Brien to keep the gangly, redheaded host of “Late Night” from going to a competitor.

“I said, `Well, I’ve been No. 1 for 12 years.’ They said, `We know that. We don’t think you can sustain it,”‘ Leno recounted the executive telling him. He joked that he asked if he could at least wait until his show fell to No. 2, but agreed to the hand-over plan.

“Don’t blame Conan O’Brien. Nice guy, good family guy, great guy. He and I have talked, and not a problem since then,” Leno said.

He told NBC he would retire “‘just to avoid what happened the last time,”‘ he recounted with a chuckle.

What’s happening now at NBC turned out to be reminiscent of the contest between Leno and David Letterman to win “Tonight” after Johnny Carson’s retirement and NBC’s similar dithering at the time.

With a plan in place for Leno to leave “Tonight” in May 2009, before his NBC contract ended, he would be prevented from starting at another network for at least a year, Leno said. He asked to be freed but NBC refused, instead suggesting that Leno could do well with a prime-time show that the network acknowledged would get “killed” against first-run episodes of shows like CBS’ “CSI” but could get traction against summer reruns.

Leno said he agreed, in part, because it would allow him to keep his staff of about 175 people working. But the network’s plan for patience was unraveled by affiliates, who said his low ratings were sinking their local late newscasts, which the show precedes.

O’Brien had his own ratings woes, which Leno said — pointedly — started in summer before they could be blamed on Leno’s poor prime-time performance.

“Tonight” with O’Brien is drawing about half of the roughly 5 million viewers Leno attracted as its host, although O’Brien has gotten a significant ratings bump since the network flap started.

When NBC suggested a half-hour show, Leno told the network he wasn’t crazy about doing it but said OK. He asked if O’Brien would agree to be moved to midnight and was told yes — it was almost guaranteed.

Leno may have been restrained with his comments, but he couldn’t resist a hard-edged joke at NBC’s expense.

“CBS is now developing a new sitcom about the troubles here at NBC,” he said. “It’s called `Two Men and a Half-Assed Network.”‘

O’Brien let loose on his show Monday, too.

“Last night at the Golden Globes, Julia Roberts said that NBC was in the toilet. NBC was upset and toilets were furious,” he said.

Day 26 has downsized from a quintet to quartet.  Group member Qwanell “Que” Mosley has left the R&B group.

During an interview with WGCI 107.5 FM radio station in Chicago, group member Willie Taylor placed the blame on Mosley.

The interview is posted in the video clip below.

Day 26 originally consisted of Brian Andrews, Robert Curry, Willie Taylor, Qwanell Mosley and Michael McCluney.

Diddy signed Day 26 to Bad Boy Records in 2007 after he selected them to form a group on his MTV reality show titled “Making the Band 4.”

During “Making the Band 4″ Mosley was always at odds with his bandmates, so it’s no surprise that he left the group.

Beanie Sigel verbally attacks Jay-Z again

Rapper Beanie Sigel is still verbally attacking his former friend and former boss Jay-Z.

Sigel appeared on the Power 99 radio station in Philadelphia (along with 50 Cent) and trashed Jay-Z.

Sigel said Jay-Z “is a crumb. I’m gonna put my foot on his neck until he responds.  Please make a record.  A week’s been out, dog. I’m not taking nothing from Jay as an artist. He ain’t no walk in the park as an artist. All I’m saying is I don’t gotta jog to keep up to him.”

Sigel also recently recorded a song where he slams Jay-Z.  Click here to read excerpts from the lyrics.

Despite Sigel’s efforts to bad-mouth him, Jay-Z still won’t hit back.  He chooses to ignore him.

That’s a smart move on Jay-Z’ s part.  Jay-Z is the biggest name in hip hop music today, and Beanie Sigel is basically a nobody.

If Jay-Z starts attacking him, the media will hype it up, and Sigel will get free publicity and become a household name.

Beanie should become successful based on his own merits, instead of trying to achieve fame by feuding with Jay-Z.

Nicolas Cage blames manager for financial trouble

Nicolas CageActor Nicolas Cage recently found himself in financial turmoil when the IRS came knocking on his door.

Uncle Sam told him that he owes more than $6 million in back taxes.

But Cage isn’t taking any of the blame. Instead, he’s passing the blame to his business manager.

Cage filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles County accusing his business manager Samuel Levin of improperly handling his money and investments and failing to file taxes on his behalf (which was part of his job description).

Cage also alleges the business manager never told him about his negative financial situation.

Let this be a lesson to Cage.  It’s good to have someone handle your financial matters for you, but when it comes to dealing with millions of dollars, you should always keep an eye on the person who is handling your money.

The good news for Cage is he can easily recover his financial losses because he has four movies scheduled for release in 2010.

They are “Season of the Witch,” “Kick-Ass,” “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” and “Drive Angry.”

Former “Saturday Night Live” star Tracy Morgan spent 10 years on the popular sketch comedy show, but he didn’t always get along with his cast mates.

In his new autobiographytitled “I Am The New Black,” Morgan took a stab at his former SNL cast mates Cheri Oteri and Chris Kattan.

In an excerpt from the book’s audio version, Morgan said “I can remember being on “Saturday Night Live” and feeling like i was at the bottom of the totem pole. I can remember when people like Chris Kattan and Cheri Oteri probably looked down upon on me.  I can remember especially those two treating me like I was the invisible guy.  Now, look where they at now? Cheri Oteri, she can’t even get arrested.  Where’s Chris Kattan now? They never going to host “Saturday Night Live.”

“That’s what happened to me over there. They never treated me well. There were people that treated me beautifully like Will Ferrell and Colin Quinn and Molly Shannon–I love them. But Cheri Oteri and Chris Kattan I never cared for them either (explicative).”

Morgan’s book will be in stores Oct. 20.

Kanye West taught Tim McGraw’s kids a lesson

Tim McGrawA country singer is now weighing in on the Kanye West and Taylor Swift controversy at the MTV Video Music Awards.

Tim McGraw said his daughters learned a lesson from Kanye West.

In an interview with CMT, Tim McGraw said Kanye “shows himself to be an idiot every time he does stuff like that.  My girls were upset. But what he did do is provide a great example of how not to be, and my girls learned a big lesson.”

McGraw also said “when they weren’t looking I said,”He needs an a** whoopin.”

I agree Kanye does need a whoopin of some sort, and he was extremely rude and disrespectful toward Taylor Swift.

But I think it’s time to move on.  He apologized to Taylor, and Taylor said he was gracious, she accepted his apology, and it’s in the past.

If Taylor has moved on, maybe we all should move on and let it go. Myself included.

Megan Fox is dumb and classless

Megan Fox 1

Crew members who worked on the “Transformers” films said actress Megan Fox is dumb and classless.

It all started when the actress spoke negatively about “Transformers” director Michael Bay.

During an interview with Movie Line, Megan said Michael Bay “was like Napoleon and he wants to create this insane, infamous mad-man reputation. He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is. So he’s a nightmare to work for but when you get him away from set, and he’s not in director mode, I kind of really enjoy his personality because he’s so awkward, so hopelessly awkward. He has no social skills at all. And it’s endearing to watch him.”

Crew members who worked on the “Transformers” set were offended by Megan’s comments toward the director.  The crew members responded by writing an open letter.  In the letter, the criticize Megan’s talent and her behavior.  The letter is posted below.

“This is an open letter to all Michael Bay fans. We are three crew members that have worked with Michael for the past ten years. Last week we read the terrible article with inflammatory, truly trashing quotes by the Ms. Fox about Michael Bay. This letter is to set a few things straight.”

“Yes, Megan has great eyes, a tight stomach we spray with glycerin, and an awful silly Marilyn Monroe tattoo plastered on her arm that we cover up to keep the moms happy.”

“Michael found this shy, inexperienced girl, plucked her out of total obscurity thus giving her the biggest shot of any young actresses’ life. He told everyone around to just trust him on his choice.”

Megan Fox 2“He granted her the starring role in Transformers, a franchise that forever changed her life; she became one of the most googled and oogled women on earth. She was famous! She was the next Angelina Jolie, hooray! Wait a minute, two of us worked with Angelina – second thought – she’s no Angelina. You see, Angelia is a professional.”

We know this quite intimately because we’ve had the tedious experience of working with the dumb-as-a-rock Megan Fox on both Transformers movies. We’ve spent a total of 12 months on set making these two movies.

“We are in different departments; we can’t give our names because sadly doing so in Hollywood could lead to being banished from future Paramount work. One of us touches Megan’s panties, the other has the often shitty job of pulling Ms. Sour pants out of her trailer, while another is near the Panaflex camera that helps to memorialize the valley girl on film.”

“Megan has the press fooled. When we read those magazines we wish we worked with that woman. Megan knows how to work her smile for the press. Those writers should try being on set for two movies, sadly she never smiles. The cast, crew and director make Transformers a really fun and energetic set. We’ve traveled around the world together, so we have never understood why Megan was always such – the grump of the set?”

“When facing the press, Megan is the queen of talking trailer trash and posing like a porn star. And yes we’ve had the unbearable time of watching her try to act on set, and yes, it’s very cringe-able. So maybe, being a porn star in the future might be a good career option. But make-up beware, she has a paragraph tattooed to her backside (probably due her rotten childhood) easily another 45 minutes in the chair!”

“So when the three of us caught wind of Ms Fox, pontificating yet again in some publication (like she actually has something interesting to say) blabbing her trash mouth about a director whom we three have grown to really like. She compared working with Michael, to “working with Hitler”. We actually don’t think she knows who Hitler is by the way. But we wondered how she doesn’t realize what a disgusting, fully uneducated comment this was? Well, here let’s get some facts straight.”

Megan Fox

“Say what you want about Michael – yes at times he can be hard, but he’s also fun, and he challenges everyone for a reason – he simply wants people to bring their ‘A’ game. He comes very prepared, knows exactly what he wants, involves the crew and expects everyone to follow through with his or her best, and that includes the actors. He’s one of the hardest working directors out there.”

“He gets the best from his crews, many of whom have worked with him for 15 years. And yes, he’s loyal, one of the few directors we’ve encountered who lowered his fee by millions to keep Transformers in the United States and California, so he could work with his own crew.”

“Megan says that Transformers was an unsafe set? Come on Megan, we know it is a bit more strenuous then the playground at the trailer park, but you don’t insult one of the very best stunt and physical effects teams in the business! Not one person got hurt!”

“And who is the real Megan Fox? She is very different than the academy nominee and winning actors we’ve all worked around. She’s as about ungracious a person as you can ever fathom. She shows little interest in the crew members around her. We work to make her look good in every way, but she’s absolutely never appreciative of anyone’s hard work. Never a thank you.”

“All the crewmembers have stopped saying hi to Ms. Princess because she never says hello back. It gets tiring. Many think she just really hates the process of being an actress.”

Megan Fox 3“Megan has been late to the sets many times. She goes through the motions that make her exude this sense of misery. We’ve heard the A.D’s piped over the radio that Megan won’t walk from her trailer until John Turturro walks first! John’s done seventy-five movies and she’s made two!”

“Never expect Megan to attend any of the 15 or so crew parties like all the other actors have. And then there’s the classless night she blew off The Royal Prince of Jordan who made a special dinner for all the actors. She doesn’t know that one of the grips daughters wanted to visit their daddy’s work to meet Megan, but he wouldn’t let them come because he told them “she is not nice.”

“The press certainly doesn’t know her most famous line. On our first day in Egypt, the Egyptian government wouldn’t let us shoot because of a permit problem as the actors got ready in make up at the Four Seasons Hotel. Michael tried to make the best of it; he wanted to take the cast and crew on a private tour of the famous Giza pyramids. God hold us witness, Megan said, “I can’t believe Michael is fucking forcing us to go to the fucking pyramids!” I guess this is the “Hitler guy” she is referring to.”

“So this is the Megan Fox you don’t get to see. Maybe she will learn, but we figure if she can sling insults, then she can take them too. Megan really is a thankless, classless, graceless, and shall we say unfriendly bitch. It’s sad how fame can twist people, and even sadder that young girls look up to her. If only they knew who they’re really looking up to.”

“But ‘Fame’ is fleeting. We, being behind the scenes, seen em’ come and go. Hopefully Michael will have Megatron squish her character in the first ten minutes of Transformers 3. We can tell you that will make the crew happy!”

Rush Limbaugh responds to Jay-Z lyrics

rush-limbaughjay-z

bill-oreillyIt’s no secret that Fox News host Bill O’Reilly and Rush Limbaugh are no fans of hip hop music.

O’Reilly often makes critical comments about musicians such as Ludacris,  Jay-Z  and Young Jeezy.

Jay-Z recently recording a song titled “Off That” from his upcoming CD “The Blueprint 3.”

In the song, Jay-Z raps “Please tell Bill O’Reilly to fall back. Tell Rush Limbaugh to get off my (explicative). It’s 2010, not 1864.”

Getting exciting because a rap legend name dropped him in  a song, controversial radio host Rush Limbaugh responded to Jay-Z’s lyrics.

On his radio show, Limbaugh arrogantly said “I have been mentioned in a rap song by the rapper Jay-Z.  The new song mentions me and the moderate Bill O’Reilly.  As far as I know, I have never been mentioned in a rap song by anybody. It means I’ve made it. I’m now on a rap tune by the famous rapper Jay-Z. I would remind the rapper Jay-Z,  Mr. Z, it is President Obama who wants mandated circumcision. That means if we need to save our penises from anybody, it’s Obama. I did not know I was on anybody’s (explicative), either. I’m happy to know that they think I am, though.”

I will patiently wait for Jay-Z to issue his response to Limbaugh comments.  If this verbal battle continues, I predict Jay-Z will win.  Jay-Z can use all types of four-letter words on his CD that Limbaugh isn’t allowed to say on his radio show.

Joan Rivers calls Johnny Carson a bastard

joan-rivers

Joan Rivers appeared on MSNBC to discuss the death of television personality Ed McMahon.  Rivers had several kind things to say about McMahon.

However, when anchorwoman Contessa Brewer mentioned the late Johnny Carson’s name, Joan didn’t have anything positive to say.  Rivers said Carson was nasty, and she called him a bastard.

The video clip is posted below.  Before you watch it, here is the brief back story.

Joan Rivers used to substitute for Johnny Carson on “The Tonight Show.”  They eventually had a fallen out, and they never spoke to each other again.

Perez Hilton said Will.I.Am attacked him

will-i-amperez-hilton

Flamboyant celebrity blogger and television personality Perez Hilton claims he was assaulted by Will.I.Am, a member of the group Black Eyed Peas.

Perez said he was at a hotel when Will.I.Am and his bodyguards manhandled him.

However, Will.I.Am had a different version of events.

In a video posted on the DipDive Web site, Will said “Tonight was a good night and a crazy night.I’m DJing at a club called Ultra, and Fergie approaches Perez Hilton and says, ‘Hey, do you have a problem with me?’ and Perez says, ‘No, I just don’t like your record,’ which is cool.”

william-2“But he just really disrespects her. He, like, digs in and hurts her feelings. Like, it’s one thing to tell your opinions, and it’s another thing to go overboard and be blatantly rude for no apparent reason.   Fergie then comes to me, very emotional, and it makes me emotional because that’s my sister and that’s a dear friend to me.”

”Our party is over with so I go to another afterparty … and then I see the guy. And I go up to him and I say, ‘Hey can you do me a favor Perez? … Can you not be blatantly rude with our group on your Web site?’ And he said, ‘I don’t respect you.’ And I’m like, ‘What? OK, if you don’t respect me that’s cool.’… So this dude walks away, I leave and then he says, ‘You know, that was very f—-t of you for coming at me like that.”

“This dude says in front of a whole bunch of people, fans outside, ‘You’re a f—-t, Will.I.Am.’ … So all these fans are like, ‘You gonna let him talk to you like that?’ and I’m like, ‘Yo, it’s cool, dude, that’s just how that dude is.’ So he walks away and one of the fans gets all crazy and they start some stuff with Perez Hilton, and I’m just sitting there just minding my own business waiting for a car and whatnot. But it just goes to show you how crazy things can get.”

Not one to be outdone. Perez Hilton posted his own video explaining what happened.

perez-hilton-1Perez said, “Violence is never the answer,” Hilton said. “No matter what anyone says, another person should never be hit. I know that I say things that can really upset people. That’s never a reason to hit someone. I’ve been doing this for five years now, and nothing like this has ever happened to me.”

“I’ve never had someone attack me like this. It’s wrong, and I’m not going to stand for it. And Will.I.Am made a video and he lied. Will.I.Am is a coward and a disgusting human being for lying. And I’m making this video because I want to make it clear that I would never make up something like this. I would never lie about something so serious.”

“Will.I.Am  comes into the club, sees me and, like a heat-seeking missile, comes directly towards me and he says, ‘Yo I need you to do me a favor, I need you to never write about my band on your Web site again,’ right in my face, he was saying this, very aggressively. I was not wanting to antagonize him.”

“He was screaming, and I said ‘Listen, I can’t make any promises, but I’ll try,’ ” Hilton said. “And then he says ‘Why are you disrespecting me?’

“And that’s when I made the split-second decision that I was going to say what I thought was the worst possible thing that a thug would ever want to hear.

“I told him, ‘And you know what, I don’t need to respect you … and you’re a f–. You’re gay and stop being such a f—-t.’ And I knew that was going to set him off, but I didn’t want to get into a fight with this person, so we leave. He followed me outside of the club.”

“Then his manager, Polo, whom I have met before, from behind, comes up to me, clocks me in the eye and punches me two or three times. I am in shock. I just did not know what to do.”

I don’t know who’s story to believe.  We all know Perez is crazy, and he will say anything to cause controversy.

However, that doesn’t give Will.I.Am, or his bodyguards or fans to assault him.  (if that is what actally happened).

I predict there will be several lawsuits filed in this incident.  Also, that picture of Perez posted above was taken after the altercation.

It looks like Perez is trying to earn sympathy points with the public.  The fact that he’s trying to look like the innocent victim in that photo does NOT make me feel sorry for him whatsoever.

Pink is angry at Kanye West

pinkkanye-west

Rock singer Pink is at odds with rapper Kanye West.  Pink made it known that she is ticked off by Kanye’s love of fur.

During an interview with the The Sun Newspaper, Pink said  “I was at Stella McCartney’s Paris fashion show with the vice president of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, Paul McCartney and Kanye West.”

“The entire time Kanye is going, ‘They need more fur in this show’. He just wouldn’t shut up about how he loved fur. I mean, he’s saying this to me, the PETA guy and Paul McCartney.”

“I was just so grossed out by him. I’m like, ‘You’re an idiot. There are so many people who I think are a waste of skin and he’s up there. I should wear him. Go on, donate yourself Kanye. People can wear your fur.”

I understand that Pink has been involved with PETA (People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals) during the past several years.  It’s understandable why she was upset with Kanye’s support of fur.

PETA members are anti-fur because they don’t believe that animals should be used for wardrobe purposes.

However, I think it’s kind of hypocritical.  Although PETA supporters don’t believe in wearing animal fur, some of them believe in eating animal meat for food.

I guarantee you that Pink has eaten meat before.  What’s the difference between wearing an animal and eating an animal?

Candy Spelling says Tori Spelling caused her father’s death

candy-spelling1

tori-spellingCandy Spelling made some disturbing allegations against her daughter Tori Spelling.

Candy and Tori currently have a dysfunctional and dramatic mother-daughter relationship.  During an interview with a radio station in Massachusetts, Candy accused Tori of being responsible for the death of her father legendary television producer Aaron Spelling.

Candy said, “Ive always been trying to work on the relationship with Tori. I don’t know what the anger is. My daughter one day decided that she wasn’t speaking to my husband, myself and my son and that’s how it’s continued for the last, oh gosh, four or five years. It was sad because that’s what killed my husband actually. He just didn’t want to live after that.”

Now, Tori and Candy have been at odds with each other during the past several years, and they’ve both said some unkind statements about each other.

But Candy went way too far when she accused her own daughter of being responsible for Aaron’s death.  That’s something you should never say to your daughter.

Aaron was 83 years old when he died.  A stroke was responsible for his death–not Tori

Billy Ray Cyrus responds to Jamie Foxx’s comments about Miley

miley-cyrus-2jamie-foxx1

UPDATE: (April 16) Country singer Billy Ray Cyrus responded to the comments that Jamie Foxx said about his daughter Miley Cyrus.

In an interview with “The Bonnei Hunt Show,” Billy Ray said “It was hurtful. There wasn’t nothing funny about it. And, quite frankly, I think if I said those things about his daughter, he might not find it so comedic.”

Look at the previous posts below to find out exactly what Jamie said about Miley.

UPDATE:  (April 14) Jamie Foxx apologized to Miley Cyrus for making negative comments about her.

While appearing on the “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno April 14, Foxx said “I so apologize to Miley, and this is sincere. I am a comedian, and you guys know that whatever I say, I don’t mean any of it. And sometimes, as comedians, as we do, we go a little bit too far.”

The original blog is posted below…….

It looks like Jamie Foxx is no fan of Miley Cyrus.

During a radio show that aired on Sirius satellite radio Jamie said  “Who is Miley Cyrus? The one with all the gums? She need to get a gum transplant.  Make a sex tape and grow up.  Get like Britney Spears and do some heroin.  Do like Lindsay Lohan and get some crack in your pipe.  Catch chlamydia on a bicycle seat.”

Jamie was referring to the feud between the band Radiohead and Miley Cyrus.

If you don’t remember the recent feud between Miley and Radiohead, click here to read the details.

Jamie was defending Radiohead, and that’s why he made those comments above.

I’m not sure what Jamie has to gain by bashing a 16-year-old girl.  He should probably leave the little kids alone and stick to picking on adults.

But regardless, Jamie is still one of the funniest and most talented entertainers out there.

Stevie Nicks doesn’t want Lindsay Lohan to portray her

stevie-nickslindsay-lohan

Fleetwood Mac lead singer Stevie Nicks isn’t shy about letting everyone know she not a fan of Lindsay Lohan.

Lindsay has expressed interest in potraying Stevie in a biographical movie.

In an interview with The New York Times, the reporter asked what Stevie thought about Lohan wanting to portray her in a film.

Stevie replied “Over my dead body.  She needs to stop doing drugs and get a grip. Then maybe we’ll talk.”

It’s understandable if she doesn’t want a drug user portraying her in a film.  But keep in mind, Stevie used to be a drug addict in her younger days as well.

So, she shouldn’t see anything wrong with a drug user portraying her in a film.  Especially if Lindsay plays a young Stevie Nicks whenever Stevie was on drugs.

Miley Cyrus feuding with Radiohead

radioheadMiley Cyrus is feuding with members of the rock group Radiohead.  Who would have thought?

The feud began when Miley tried to meet the group backstage at the Grammy’s.  The group refused to meet her, so she became upset.

Miley later blasted them on a radio program referring to them as “Stinking Radiohead.” She also said “I’m going to ruin them.  I’m going to tell everyone.”People Miley Cyrus

A spokesperson for the group said “When Miley grows up, she’ll learn not to have a sense of entitlement.”

Miley should learn that just because you’re a big fan of someone, that doesn’t mean that YOU have the right to meet them.

I am a fan of several celebrities, and none of them are willing to let me meet them, and  I don’t take it personal.  Miley shouldn’t take it personal either.

She might be a big star, but that doesn’t mean everyone wants to meet her.  Apparently Radiohead is not a fan of hers.

On the other hand, Radiohead’s popularity faded a long time ago.  Many people don’ t even know who they are anymore.

If they were smart, they would have met Miley and took some pictures with her on the red carpet so it can appear in magazines, and they can gain some publicity, which would increase album sales.

Plus, Miley could have helped them reach a younger audience.  It’s too late now though.  They burned their bridges with her.

Photos of Rihanna’s injuries after attack by Chris Brown

rihanna’s injuries

TMZ published the first police photos that shows the injuries and bruises that singer Rihanna suffered during an alleged incident with her then boyfriend R&B singer Chris Brown.

Brown was arrested Feb. 8 accused of assaulting Rihanna.

As you can see, she has two black eyes, two bumps on her forehead and bloody swollen lips.

After seeing the photos , I am no longer a Chris Brown fan, and I will NEVER support his entertainment career again.

The photos are very disturbing.  The only reason I am posting them is because everyone needs to understand how cruel domestic violence is.  This issue is real and should not be swept under the rug.

Just because someone is a famous talented entertainer, that doesn’t mean they should be able to get away with abuse.

These photos likely will spark outrage, and that’s a good thing.  Maybe people will start pressuring their politicians to pass tougher penalties for abusers.

Close-up pictures are posted below.

Rihanna’s father  spoke to People Magazine about the incident that occurred between his daughter and Chris Brown but he didn’t offer specific details.

Rihanna Chris brown fightBrown was arrested last week accused of assaulting his girlfriend singer Rihanna.

During the interview, Rihanna’s father Ronald Fenty said “You think you know somebody, but you really don’t.  There is some bruising.  She will be all right. I think so.  At some point, she will speak out.  I hope she will stand up for women all over the world.”

On a side note, I’ve been browsing some entertainment Web sites, and several readers left disturbing comments suggesting that Rihanna is to blame because she probably provoked Chris Brown.

While everyone is definitely entitled to their own opinion, it’s important that we keep in mind Rihanna is the victim.

She is NOT the perpetrator, and she shouldn’t be blamed for this unfortunate incident.

I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God’s help, to emerging a better person. Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media is wrong.”He also said “While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else.”

I’m sure he is remorseful about what happened, and I’m sure he will indeed emerge as a better person after he’s done with counseling.

No one yet knows exactly what caused the fight, but we do know that Rihanna was beaten up.

Instead of releasing this statement to the public, he probably should have released a statement to Rihanna because she was the one who was physically beaten up and not the public.

Also this statement was released to the  media through Brown’s publicist.   I wonder if those are Brown’s words in the statement, or if his publicist is the one who drafted it.

Chris Brown arrested for assaulting Rihanna?

chris brown and rihanna

R&B singer Chris Brown was arrested early Feb. 9 by the Los Angeles Police Department accused of assaulting a woman.

He was released on $50,000 bail.

Police released a statement that said at about midnight Sunday (Feb. 8), Chris Brown along with a female companion were arguing in a vehicle.  The two exited the vehicle and continue to argue.

Someone called 911, and when police arrived, the woman told them Chris Brown attacked her. The officer said the woman had visible injuries.

They won’t officially release the name of the female companion because they wanted to protect her identity. However, several news organizations are reporting that the victim was his girlfriend singer Rihanna.

The couple was set to perform at the Grammy awards Sunday night, but they both canceled.

Rihanna’s publicist told E News that Rihanna was involved in a traffic mishap but she is fine.

We’ll have to wait until the investigation unfolds before we find out the details.

Brown and Rihanna are considered a power couple in the music industry.  Both of them had a string of hits during the past two years and filled arenas during their concerts.

If these allegations are true, Chris Brown will no longer have a thriving career — and he doesn’t deserve to.

Etta James said comments about Beyonce were a joke

etta james beyonce

Etta James said she was only joking when she dissed Beyonce during a concert in Seattle.

James told the New York Daily News, “I didn’t really mean anything. Even as a little child, I’ve always had that comedian kind of attitude. That’s probably what went into it.  Nobody was getting mad at me in Seattle.  They were all laughing, and it was funny.”

During the concert, James told the audience “That women he had singing for him, singing my song, she gon get her (explicative) whipped.  I can’t stand Beyonce.  She had no business up there singing my song that I been singing forever.”

She was referring to how Beyonce sang a remake of Etta’s song  ”At Last” during Barack Obama’s inauguration ball.

I don’t believe Etta was joking whatsoever. I think she meant what she said.  In case you haven’t heard the audiotape, click here to listen and decide for yourself if you think she was joking.
