“American Idol” runner-up Adam Lambert announced on his Twitter page that he will appear on the “Oprah Winfrey Show” for an interview. 

I assume Winfrey will ask him questions about his sexually explicit stage performance that caused controversy at the American Music Awards. 

Some people say Lambert wanted to shock the audience as a publicity stunt to draw attention to his new album. 

Whatever the reason, it obviously worked out in Lambert’s favor.  Lambert gets to sit down with Oprah, but Kris Allen (who beat Lambert on American Idol) doesn’t get a big exclusive sit-down interview with the talk show queen.

An air date for Lambert’s appearance hasn’t been determined.

The ABC network has lifted its ban on rock singer Adam Lambert.  The 2009 “American Idol” runner-up will perform on “The View” Dec. 10 and the Barbara Walters’ special “The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2009″ on Dec. 9.

After Lambert’s controversial performance at the American Music Awards, the ABC network canceled his appearances on “Good Morning America,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and a New Year’s Eve special. 

Lambert created controversy at the “American Music Awards” when he kissed a male band member during his performance and shoved a man and a woman’s face into his private region.

No word yet on whether the network will reconsider their decision to pull Lambert from the New Year’s Eve special.

The ABC network is still punishing “American Idol” singer Adam Lambert for his performance at the “American Music Awards.”

Lambert announced on his Twitter page that ABC canceled his upcoming appearances on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and a performance on a New Year’s Eve special.  Lambert was previously canceled from “Good Morning America” on the network. 

Lambert created controversy at the “American Music Awards” when he kissed a male band member during his performance and shoved a man and a woman’s face into his private region. 

Since then, the ABC network doesn’t want anything to do with Lambert.  His new album titled “For Your Enterainment” debuted at number three on the Billboard charts.  It sold 198,000 copies in its first week.

The 2009  ”American Idol” champion Kris Allen released his self-titled debut album today (Nov. 17).  Many people might not have known he was even releasing an album. 

Although Allen was victorious on “American Idol” earlier this year, he didn’t receive a substantial amount of media attention after his win.  It wasn’t because he lacked talent.  It was because he lacked shock value.  Allen is plain, average and simple. 

Which explains why he has been overshadowed by Adam Lambert, the “American Idol” runner-up.  Lambert appears to be a magnet for the camera. 

As a result, numerous magazines were racing to put him on the cover and land interviews with him.  Meanwhile, Allen was an after thought.  Entertainment journalists ignored him and focused on Lambert because he was more shocking. 

Even pop star Lady Gaga came knocking on Lambert’s door wanting to collaborate with him on new music. 

I’ll admit, Allen didn’t have the strongest vocals on the show.  But the majority of “American Idol” voters chose Allen as their champion, and he deserves to receive some media attention since he was declared the winner.

Allen’s album is in stores now. Lambert’s album “For Your Entertainment” will be released Nov. 23.

The last week of November will be a showdown among five popular musicians. 

Britney Spears, Rihanna, Shakira, Adam Lambert and Susan Boyle will release new albums the week of Nov. 23 vying for the number one spot. 

Rihanna’s album “Rated R” will likely debut at number one.  This is the singer’s first album since the infamous Chris Brown incident. 

Everyone is rooting for Rihanna to come back on top.  Plus, her new song “Russian Roulette” has caused a little controversy because of the lyrical content.  We all know controversy sells.

Britney Spears’ “The Singles Collection” will probably debut at number two.

Although its a greatest hits CD, the lip-synching performer is still enormously popular.  Fans who attended her recent Circus Tour will probably flock to stores to purchase the greatest hits package. 

I predict Adam Lambert’s “For Your Entertainment” will debut in the number three position. Although he didn’t win the ”American Idol” title, he still has a huge fan base.  It won’t be enough to overtake Rihanna and Britney, but it’s big enough for third place. 

Shakira’s “She Wolf” album will probably take the number four spot, despite that semi-annoying song with the same title. 

No one can forget when Susan Boyle shocked the world while she belted out “I Dreamed a Dream” on “Britain’s Got Talent.” 

Her CD “I Dreamed a Dream” will likely debut at number five. 

She will definitely dominate the charts in Europe, but she doesn’t do much promotion in the U.S.
