Larry King files for divorce
The eighth time wasn’t the charm for veteran CNN host Larry King.
King and his wife Shawn Southwick are filing for divorce after 13 years of marriage. This is King’s eighth divorce with seven different women. King married one of his former wives twice.
The tabloids are saying the marriage ended because King had an affair with his wife’s sister. However, I don’t believe those rumors because King is 76 years old.
Is it even possible for 76-year-old man to cheat?
Tiger Woods mistress arrested
Tiger Woods is probably somewhere laughing right now because one of his mistresses has been arrested.
Jaimee Grubbs (aka Mistress Number Two) was arrested in West Hollywood on a complaint of driving with a suspended license, according to People magazine.
It was the second time this year she has been cited on this complaint. She was released early Thursday.

Pam Anderson owes $493,000 in back taxes
“Baywatch” actress Pamela Anderson is mastering her dance moves as a contestant on “Dancing with the Stars,” but she isn’t having luck when it comes to mastering the art of paying taxes.
According to the Associated Press, Anderson failed to pay $493,000 in personal income tax, and she was placed on California’s annual list of delinquent taxpayers.
Anderson had a steady paycheck when she starred on the hit television show “Baywatch” from 1992 to 1997.
In 1998, she starred in another television show titled “V.I.P.” Since then, her acting roles have been few and far between.
Her next acting role will be in the film “Hollywood and Wine.” The movie also stars Jeremy London, Vivica A. Fox, Norm MacDonald and Chris Kattan.
Hugh Hefner critical of Tiger Woods, Jesse James

When I first heard Playboy founder Hugh Hefner was being critical of Tiger Woods’ and Jesse James’ behavior, I immediately thought Hefner was being a hypocrite.
After all, Hefner is known for having multiple girlfriends at the same time (just like Woods and James).
But when I read Hefner’s comments, what he said actually makes a little sense. In an interview with the New York Post, Henfer said
“When you get married, you make a commitment. I had a lot of girlfriends, but it’s not the same as cheating. I don’t cheat. I am very open about what I do. Sandra Bullock’s husband looks like a real creep. I think that when you are in a relationship, you should be honest. The real immorality of infidelity is the lying.
This whole idea that it’s a sex addiction is a cop out. Some people become obsessed with sex, but it’s not like an alcohol or drug addiction. He did it because he could get away with it.”
I hate to admit it, but Hefner does make a good point.
Brandy Norwood and Kelly Rowland are friends again
R&B singer/actress Brandy Norwood commenting on her friendship with Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland during an interview with Honey magazine.
“Kelly’s my best friend. We are born on the same day. I love her, she’s amazing. Kelly and I were friends back in the day and we then separated and went our own way. She’s the friend that I prayed for and said, ‘Please God, give me another chance with her.’ She’s just a great friend. And God did. We are back in each others lives. I love being around her. I call her my twin. It’s a very special relationship and I just don’t want to ever lose her again.
We were not friends for a while—for dumb reasons. Young, dumb reasons. I just never want that to be again. It was through the adolescent years, when we were very young. I really didn’t know how to be the friend that I am now. I didn’t know what I was doing. I’m a great friend now. I’m just happy to have her back in my life.”

Conan O’Brien gets talk show on TBS
ASSOCIATED PRESS via NewsOK.
NEW YORK (AP) — Late-night mainstay Conan O’Brien is headed to TBS to resume his comedic duties with a talk show expected to debut in November, the network said Monday.
The program will air Mondays through Thursdays at 11 p.m. Eastern, shifting TBS’ “Lopez Tonight,” starring George Lopez, to midnight.
O’Brien quickly fired out a celebratory tweet.
“The good news: I will be doing a show on TBS starting in November! The bad news: I’ll be playing Rudy on the all new Cosby Show,” he posted Monday on Twitter.
The surprise announcement hit the same day O’Brien starts a two-month, nationwide comedy tour in Eugene, Ore., amid persistent reports that he was likely to claim Fox as his new late-night home.
Barring Fox, syndication was widely considered O’Brien’s most likely option. Few if anyone mentioned TBS as a plausible destination.
O’Brien began serious talks with TBS just last week, the network said.
“In three months, I’ve gone from network television to Twitter to performing live in theaters, and now I’m headed to basic cable,” O’Brien said in a tongue-in-cheek-toned statement. “My plan is working perfectly.”
O’Brien left NBC in January after hosting “The Tonight Show” for just eight months, as his ratings plunged from those of his longtime “Tonight” predecessor, Jay Leno, who reclaimed the hour. Until last June, O’Brien had followed Leno as host of “Late Night” since 1993.
After giving O’Brien “Tonight,” NBC sought to keep Leno on board with a prime-time show that quickly flopped. An attempt to move O’Brien to a post-midnight slot drew O’Brien’s ire, and he walked away with a $32 million settlement package.
Although that put him in play for other networks, the deal barred him from appearing on TV until September.
Garcelle Beauvais emails cheating husband’s co-workers, Tiger Woods places 4th
Several celebrity-related incidents occurred during the past week that caught my attention. I’ve narrowed them down to my favorite two.
My favorite involves actress Garcelle Beauvais and her husband Michael Nilon. Beauvais is accusing Nilon of cheating on her.
Instead of staying quiet like Sandra Bullock and Elin Nordegren, Beauvais put her husband on blast by sending a mass email to his co-workers at Creative Artists Agency.
The email was obtained by the New York Post. It says “Tiger Woods, Jesse James, Mike Nilon – What do they have in common? I found out today that MY husband of almost 9 yrs has been having an affair for 5 yrs with some slut in Chicago. I am devastated!!!! And I have been duped!! Our boys don’t deserve this! “My focus at this time is on my kids and healing the pain. There will be no further comment.”
Beauvais and Nilon have two sons together. They married in 2001. I’m sure Nilon spent his entire work day hiding his face in embarrassment.
My second favorite is Tiger Woods’ return to golf. Woods recently tied for fourth place at the Masters. Phil Mickelson won the title. It was Woods’ first tournament since his sex scandal became public.
Some people are saying Woods’ performance was lackluster. Maybe so, but the fact he came in fourth place is an accomplishment in my opinion.
He is enduring the biggest sex scandal of the decade, but yet, he was able to land in fourth place. He’s probably the only golfer who could go through that and still maintain some level of concentration.

Tina Fey returns as Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live, Justin Bieber performs
The latest episode of “Saturday Night Live” (April 10) was quite interesting.
Tina Fey returned to the show and performed another Sarah Palin skit. She perfected that role as usual.
Meanwhile, teen singer Justin Bieber was the musical guest, and he also performed a comedic skit with Fey.
Fey’s portrays a teacher who has a crush on Bieber’s character. A clip of the two skits is posted below.
Designing Women actress Dixie Carter dead at age 70
LOS ANGELES (AP) — “Designing Women” actress Dixie Carter, who used her charm and stately beauty in a host of roles on Broadway and television, died Saturday. She was 70.
Publicist Steve Rohr, who represents Carter and her husband, actor Hal Holbrook, said Carter died Saturday morning. He would not disclose where she died or the cause of death.
“This has been a terrible blow to our family,” Holbrook said in a written statement. “We would appreciate everyone understanding that this is a private family tragedy.”
A native of Tennessee, Carter was most famous for playing quick-witted Southerner Julia Sugarbaker for seven years on “Designing Women,” the CBS sitcom that ran from 1986 to 1993.
She was nominated for an Emmy in 2007 for her seven-episode guest stint on the ABC hit “Desperate Housewives.”
Carter’s other credits include roles on the series “Family Law” and “Different Strokes.”
She had been married to Holbrook since 1984.

Songwriter defends Christina Aguilera against Lady Gaga comparisons
Several music critics and bloggers (myself included) have been making comparisons between pop singers Christina Aguilera and Lady Gaga.
When I posted a blog comparing the two singers, many readers were irritated because I questioned whether Christina can keep up with Lady Gaga. (Click here to read what I said, and what the readers said).
Apparently, Christina’s songwriter is fed up with everyone comparing Christina and Lady Gaga. In an interview with Vibe magazine, songwriter Claude Kelly said:
“That’s crap to me…it’s really bull****. Christina Aguilera has been around for over 10 years now. As far as pop goes, she is the defining voice of today’s music. She can do things with her voice that I haven’t heard anybody else do. She’s constantly reinventing herself. As fans, as soon as an album is done and an artist disappears for a while, we tend to write them off as over or no longer relevant.”
“In the time that she has been gone, Gaga, who I know pretty well, has had an unbelievable run. Christina has an album that’s going to slap people in the face. The music still has her signature, big note vocals and emotions, but the sound is definitely more aggressive, more futuristic than the last album.”
Christina’s new album “Bionic” will be in stores June 8.
Kenny Chesney’s 3D concert movie
Country singer Kenny Chesney is the latest musician who will have a concert film in movie theaters.
The film titled “Kenny Chesney: Summer in 3D” will be in theaters April 21. Footage for the film was taped during Chesney’s Sun City Carnival tour last year.
I’ve noticed there has been a trend with musicians releasing their concert films in the theaters.
They are often cheap to produce, but they rake in a respectable amount of money at the box office.
For example “Michael Jackson’s This Is It” earned $72 million at the box office in the United States, “Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus Best of both Worlds” earned $65 million and ”Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience made $19 million.
To watch a preview of Chesney’s concert film on his Web site, go to http://kennychesneymovie.com.
Corey Haim’s public memorial canceled
The public will not get a chance to say farewell to the late actor Corey Haim.
A public memorial service for Haim has been canceled because his mother too grief stricken. Haim’s best friend Corey Feldman made the announcement on his blog.
Now I must be the bearer of some very disappointing news to many of you out there. After weeks of consideration and planning, the ultimate decision has been made by Corey’s mother Judy Haim to not go forward with a public memorial service. Instead we will have a very small private dinner with just a few close friends in LA.
Her reasoning for this is that she is in tremendous grief and feels that to create an event celebrating Corey’s life would be too much for her to bear at this time. She did ask me to convey to you that she has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of your support and wants you to keep Corey alive by visiting his website at www.coreyhaim.us If there are any statements to be made, or events planned, or any other Corey Haim related news it will be posted there at his site.
Although I am very sad I am not able to plan the memorial I had envisioned, which would have given both his friends and fans an opportunity to grieve together as one, I must respect the wishes of his mother, and help her in any way I can through this difficult time. Ultimately that is what Corey would have wanted more than anything. To know that his mother is at peace as much as possible in his absence.
I too understand her not wanting to face the barrage of negative press that comes from the public spectacle. This has been very difficult for me. I am trying very hard to stay positive after losing so much in the last 9 months. I have lost many who were very close to me in a very short time. However that does not stop the press from attacking me. It seems they will not be happy until I’m dead too.
Well I’ve got news for you. I am still standing. I am not going to let them get to me. I stayed indoors crying every day for 2 weeks. The second I leave my house they follow me, then make a spectacle, and then berate me for trying to get out of the house and live my life. Would they rather I hid in a cave waiting for depression to fully encompass my soul? I’m sorry but I choose to live my life and move forward as best as possible. I have a child, therefore I must work. I cannot dwell in misery. Instead I have been planning my future.”

American Idol loses to Dancing with the Stars
The ABC network has something to dance about. The show “Dancing with the Stars” beat Fox’s “American Idol” in the ratings for the first time.
During the week of March 29, the Monday episode of “Dancing with the Stars” had nearly 23 million viewers compared to “American Idol’s” viewership of 21.8 million Tuesday and $20.5 million Wednesday last week, according to TV Guide.
I’m not surprised by the shift in ratings. This year’s “American Idol” season has been lackluster. It’s not as exciting as it used to be in previous years because of the contestants aren’t “wowing” people this year.
I have watched most “American Idol” episodes, but I’ve never seen “Dancing with the Stars.” I think I’m going to watch my first episode next week to see what all the hoopla is about.
Whitney Houston says she is feeling great
Pop music superstar Whitney Houston announced she is postponing some concerts on her European tour.
Tabloids and celebrity magazines immediately speculated and printed that she is having drug-related health issues again, and that’s why she postponed those shows.
Houston responded to those allegation during an interview with People magazine. She said
“I’m feeling great. I’m just ready to move on and continue my world tour. At this point, I just don’t respond. I don’t even read it. My health is terrific, but this is a time when I get a lot of allergies.”
I hope Whitney really is fine. I’ve seen some concert footage on YouTube from her recent shows, and she doesn’t look or sound too good whatsoever.
Hopefully, she will bounce back.
