Celine Dion returning to Las Vegas for three years

Celine Dion announced she is returning to Sin City.
Dion signed a contract to perform at Caesars Palace for three years beginning March 15, 2011. Dion previously performed at the palace from 2002 to 2007, but she left when her contract expired.
Dion told People magazine she will give 70 performances per year. When dion left Caesars Palace in 2007, Bette Midler replaced her in 2008. Midler’s contract ended last month.
Although Midler is a legend in her own right, she still can’t hold a candle to Celine when it comes to vocal ability. Good choice on the part of Caesars Palace owners to bring Celine back.

I like Celine a lot, but she has yet proved to me that she can hold a candle to Bette Midler. When she becomes an award winning actress, best-selling author, philanthropist, film producer, multiple Emmy Award winner, Tony award winner and the list goes on….then give me a call….

Can’t hold a candle?! Are you kidding me? Celine is a wonderful performer and I enjoy her music…but she is not a national treasure like Bette. She CANNOT bring you to tears with her ballads or make you laugh until you cry, as Bette can. Bette Midler is a triple threat. I completely agree with Mister D.
I live in Las Vegas and saw both Bette and Celine many times. While both are great technical singers, Bette has a much more captivating stage presence. This writer’s opinion is as relevant as Heidi Montag’s music career.
I’m sorry, but Celine is the greatest….. Bette may be a “legend” …but, she’s as washed-up as Diana Ross! Yes, Bette can make people laugh, that’s because she’s a darn joke. I’m not gonna deny the fact that she has a unique voice, but her vocals do not compare to the power and soul that Celine has!

I just saw Celine’s rehersal show tonight in las vegas. it was amazing. she does touch your emotions. she has an amazing voice. she is also a kind, gracious woman. bette milder..eh i ve seen both. i’ve also met and been around both. bette RUDE and arrogant. celine gracious and warm. celine wins peiod bette can’t hold a candle to celine.s warmth or voice.period
Yay!!! This is so exciting!!! I will definately go see her! I seen her last year in Tulsa and she was amazing!! Can’t wait to see the actual Vegas show of hers!!
