Former aide says he has John Edwards’ sex tape

John Edwards

Former presidential candidate John Edwards is the latest celebrity to have a sex tape.

Andrew Young, a former aide to Edwards,  said he found a sex tape of Edwards and his mistress Rielle Hunter stashed in a box full of trash that belonged to Hunter.

The former aide made the revelation in an interview with ABC News.

Edwards admitted cheating on his wife Elizabeth Edwards with Hunter, and after months of denying it, he admitted  he fathered a child with the mistress.

Young said he has no plans to embarrass Edwards or Hunter by making the tape public.  Instead, he’s keeping it locked inside of safe-deposit box.

Hunter filed a court restraining order seeking to prohibit Young from possessing or distributing the sex tape that shows her being intimate with Edwards.

Meanwhile, Young wrote a damaging book about his experiences with Edwards.  The book is titled “The Politician.” An excerpt is posted below. This particular excerpt describes Young’s interaction with Edwards and his mistress Rielle Hunter.

When Mrs. Edwards left Chapel Hill to start her book tour, the senator brought Rielle to his home, where she met Jack and Emma Claire and even interviewed them briefly while holding a video camera to capture their replies. (She also interviewed Edwards’s parents, who were there that afternoon.) When I went to the house to see him, I discovered her sitting in the living room curled up in a chair like a cat, with her shoes and socks off. She wore blue jeans and had a colorful scarf around her neck and sunglasses perched atop her head.

The mood in the house was relaxed and upbeat. Instead of the news blaring out of various TVs, which Elizabeth kept tuned to C-SPAN. I heard music playing. I noticed because the senator had told me he had stopped listening to music when Wade died, and I had seen him turn off music whenever it was playing. We went on a run together, following our usual route past a cow pasture full of mooing heifers and waving to neighbors who hailed us from their front porches. While we were gone, Rielle napped in Cate’s room.

That evening, we ate take-out ribs from a place called Nantucket Grill and sat on the senator’s back porch, a huge space covered by a sturdy roof. The group included me, the nanny, Heather, and her husband, Jed, the senator, his kids, and Rielle, who talked excitedly about everything from national politics to astrology. She said she had been a spiritual teacher and that she believed the future was foretold by the stars. Rielle took great pleasure in noting that John Edwards’s future was limitless, and every once in a while she punctuated her observations about him with a laugh and the line “It’s good to be king.”

As the wine flowed and Heather put the kids to bed, the senator and Rielle became more comfortable touching each other and dropped the pretense that they weren’t involved. At one point, they started musing about how the house seemed like a happy place with Elizabeth and her “negative energy” removed. Rielle talked about living in the mansion once Mrs. Edwards was out of the way. A new family would be formed, the senator said, after he and Rielle married on some rooftop in Manhattan with a celebration that would include music from Dave Matthews. As Rielle listened to the senator spin this fantasy, she smiled like a little kid who had gotten her way.

As the night wore on, clouds rolled in, followed by thunder and lightning and the heaviest rain I had ever seen. Protected and dry under the roof, we watched the water come down in sheets, and in a quiet moment the senator said, “This is the way it should be — no stress, no fighting.”  “It’s good to be king,” said Rielle.

I left the house during the downpour, shaken by everything I had seen and heard. As I turned the key in my Suburban and flipped on the wipers, my once-bright future seemed to be in peril.

The next time I spoke to Rielle, she happily told me that she had spent that night in the Edwardses’ bed and slept in while the senator made breakfast for the kids and then drove them to school. She said that when he returned, he got into bed and they “made love.”

Miss Virginia wins 2010 Miss America Pageant

Miss Virginia contestant Caressa Cameron was crowned winner of the 2010 Miss America Pageant on Saturday in Las Vegas.  The Associated Press story is posted below via NewsOK.

A video clip of Cameron performing Beyonce’s song “Listen” during the talent segment is posted at the bottom.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Miss Virginia Caressa Cameron won the 2010 Miss America title Saturday night after strutting in a yellow dress, belting Beyonce’s “Listen” from “Dreamgirls” and telling kids they should get outside more often.

Cameron, a 22-year-old from Fredericksburg, Va., won a $50,000 scholarship and the crown in Las Vegas after a pageant that started with 53 contestants. She outlasted her opponents in swimsuit, evening gown, talent and interview competitions.

Cameron is a broadcast journalism student at Virginia Commonwealth University, and wants to become an anchor. Miss California Kristy Cavinder was the first runner-up, winning $25,000.

The young women who came out on stage at the beginning of the pageant and danced to “I Gotta Feeling” by the Black Eyed Peas are from all 50 states plus the District of Columbia, Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

After a week of preliminary competition, they each introduced themselves to the crowd Saturday at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. The judges, the public and contestants themselves then trimmed the field.

Actor and “Extra” host Mario Lopez hosted the 89-year-old pageant with help from Clinton Kelly of TLC’s “What Not to Wear.” The pageant was broadcast live on TLC.

The panel of judges included radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh, actress Vivica Fox, musician Dave Koz, Miss America 2002 Katie Harman, gymnast Shawn Johnson and former “American Idol” finalist Brooke White. Comedian Paul Rodriguez was set to be a judge, but organizers said he pulled out because of a family emergency.

The winner, crowned by reigning Miss America Katie Stam, embarks on a yearlong run with the title to represent the organization and raise awareness for her chosen platform.

Cameron, Cavinder and Miss Michigan Nicole Blaszczyk each won $2,000 earlier in the week for winning talent competitions among three split fields of contestants. Miss Oregon CC Barber, Miss New York Alyse Zwick and Miss Puerto Rico Mimi Pabon each won $1,000 in nightly swimsuit competitions.

Miss Oklahoma Taylor Treat won the $6,000 Quality of Life award, given to the contestant judged to excel most in volunteerism and community service.

Scores based on a week of preliminary competitions were added to Saturday’s swimsuit, talent, evening gown and interview competitions to determine the winner. Each judge ranked their five favorites in order, and their ballots will be used to pick the winner.

In all, the Miss America Organization plans to award $340,000 in scholarships at the national level. The organization says its national, state and local chapters gave more than $45 million last year in cash and scholarships.

The pageant was preceded by a one-hour television special on TLC, “Miss America: Behind the Curtain.”

The contestants picked 12 women from their own ranks who faced a public vote for a spot among the 15 finalists. Stam, a Seymour, Ind., native, was one of four finalists chosen by viewers last year.

The crowning of a Miss America began in 1921 as a publicity stunt to persuade tourists on Atlantic City’s Boardwalk to stick around after Labor Day.

The bathing revue blossomed in the age of television into an American pop icon before fading in later years and losing it place on network TV in 2004. It moved to the Las Vegas Strip in 2006 in an attempt to reinvent itself and has found a home on cable television.

Country singer Carrie Underwood will get a chance to belt out “The Star Spangled Banner” in front of about 150 million  viewers.

Underwood has been selected to perform the national anthem at the Super Bowl on Feb. 7, the NFL announced.

Queen Latifah will perform “America the Beautiful,” and The Who will perform during the halftime show.

“The Star Spangled Banner” is one of the toughest songs to sing. There’s no doubt Underwood has the pipes to pull it off.

Several musicians have performed the national anthem at the Super Bowl, but none of their performances can compare to Whitney Houston’s rendition.

Houston’s performance of the national anthem from the 1991 Super Bowl is posted in the clip below.

No one can sing it like her.

The album titled “Angels Advocate” will be in stores March 30, according to a record company news release.

The album will feature remixes and new versions of songs that were on her “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel” album.

The first single from the remix album is “Angels Cry,” which is duet with R&B singer Ne-Yo.

Carey will go head-to-head with Usher when her remix album is released March 30 because Usher is releasing his new album Raymond v. Raymond on the same day.

Good news for Usher fans.  The R&B singer announced his new album titled “Raymond v. Raymond” will released March 30.

The album was supposed to be released last fall, but it was delayed several times.  Two songs from the album have already hit radio stations.  They are “Papers” and “Hey Daddy.”

Usher’s last album “Here I Stand” was released in 2008.  It sold more than one million copies in the United States.

March 30 is also the date Mariah Carey is releasing her new remix album titled “Angels Advocate.” So, the two superstars will go head-to-head on the charts.

Is Pink mocking Beyonce?

It looks like Rock/pop singer Pink was mocking Beyonce during a recent concert performance.

In 2006, Pink released the song and music video titled “Stupid Girls.”  In the song and music video, Pink makes fun of celebrities like Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Mary Kate Olsen, Lindsay Lohan and Jessica Simpson for acting like stupid girls.

But during a concert performance in Liverpool, Pink performed “Stupid Girls,” and she starts to imitate Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” dance while singing the song.

Is she now adding Beyonce to her list of stupid girls?  The video clip is posted below.  Fast forward the clip to the 30-second mark.

White House will not preempt “Lost” season premiere

Lost poster

President Barack Obama’s star power was no match for the force of the ABC television show “Lost.”

Fanatics of the show were in a panic all month long since learning the president was considering Feb. 2 as a possible date for the State of the Union Address.

Fans even organized Twitter and message boards campaign to build support in an effort to persuade the White House not to schedule the address during the Feb. 2 season premiere of “Lost.”

During a briefing earlier this month with the press corps, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs was asked whether the president was aware of the Internet storm regarding fans begging him not to schedule the State of the Union address during “Lost.”

“I don’t foresee a scenario in which the millions of people that hope to finally get some conclusion in “Lost” are pre-empted by the president,” Gibbs said during a press conference.

“Lost” fans have been impatiently waiting to watch the two-hour season premiere Feb. 2.  Fans will finally get to see what happened after Juliet detonated a hydrogen bomb.  They want to know if Juliet is dead or alive, and not even the president can prevent that from happening.

Apparently, their crybaby campaign worked.  The State of the Union Address will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 27, central time).

City High singer on Intervention

Remember the R&B group City High from the early 2000s? The group consisted of Robby Pardlo, Claudette Ortiz and Ryan Toby.

They released an album in 2001 with two hit songs titled “What Would You Do” and “Caramel.”  The self-titled album went on to sell two million copies.

After the group broke up in 2003, Toby later released a solo album, and Ortiz guest starred on an episode of “My Wife and Kids” on the ABC network.

Meanwhile, Pardlo became an alcoholic, and he tried to kick his habit by appearing on the show “Intervention” on the A&E network.  If you’re unfamiliar with the show, here’s the premise.  Cameras follow drug or alcohol abusers while their family members try to stage an on-camera intervention.

The show aired this month the A&E network.  Click here to watch the full episode that features Pardlo.

A music video for City High’s biggest hits “What Would You Do” is posted in the video clip below.

Lala Vazquez discusses her racial heritage

Television personality Lala Vazquez is so irritated with people questioning and discussing her racial background she decided to write a lengthy letter to explain her heritage.  The letter is posted below via Latina.com. Vazquez is the wife of NBA star Carmelo Anthony.  She’s hosted entertainment shows on the MTV and VH1 networks.

“A lot of people don’t realize that I’m Latina, which is fine. One thing about being Latina is that there isn’t one look that comes with the territory. I don’t expect people to know my cultural background just by glancing at me. I do, however, expect that when I tell people my family is from Puerto Rico, that I will be believed and not accused of trying to be something that I’m not. It usually goes something like this: a person having a conversation with me discovers one way or another that I’m Puerto Rican and fluent in Spanish. That person then expresses their shock over these realizations for any number of reasons—common responses are, “You don’t look Latina” and “I thought you were black!” I never said I wasn’t black. And since when does being black and being Latina have to be mutually exclusive?

“In my experience, people tend to have an uninformed and rather narrow view of what it means to be Puerto Rican. For me, not looking like some people’s idea of a typical Latina has been challenging and often painful. I constantly find myself trying to justify who I am, and why should I? I’m proud of my heritage and my family. Both of my parents are from Puerto Rico. They raised two kids in Brooklyn and later in New Jersey, where we ate arroz con gandules and pasteles and listened to salsa music. I feel just as at home in Puerto Rico, where I still have tons of family, including aunts, uncles and cousins. Puerto Rico is in my blood. And that has nothing to do with the color of my skin.”

“I’m not angry with anyone who doesn’t understand the complexities of race and culture. And I’m also not interested in having long, drawn out conversations about how it’s possible for me to look like this and speak Spanish. In fact, sometimes I make it a point not to mention my parents’ birthplace because I don’t always feel like having the inevitable discussion that follows. Instead, I let people look at me and come to their own conclusions. As I start to get my feet wet in Hollywood, I already know that there are certain parts I won’t even be considered for. The character can be Puerto Rican and speak Spanish just like me, but Hollywood defines Latina as Jennifer Lopez and Sofia Vergara. As beautiful as they are, we’re not all one race in Latin America. But I don’t go to auditions so that I can give history lessons to film executives. I’d rather skip the entire process.”

“I’m raising my son to understand who he is, and it’s my hope that he’ll never let others define him. It reflects poorly on us when we don’t educate ourselves about the rest of the world and what it looks like. I encourage people who are interested to learn more, do research and ask informed questions. If you’re lucky enough to visit various countries in Latin America, you’ll be baffled to see the blackest of the black and the lightest of the light living together. And I dare you to ask one of them to prove their latinidad.”

“LaLa says she’s not angry but it sure doesn’t come across that way. The only people she needs to prove her race and culture to is… NOBODY!!! People are always going to talk… As long as she knows and her family knows, that is all that matters.”

Details of what happened the night of Tiger’s accident, according to report

Tiger Woods

(AP Photo/Carlos Osorio)

There’s good news and two pieces of bad news for Tiger Woods this week.  The good news is there might be a ray of hope for saving his marriage.

His wife, Elin Nordegren, spent several days visiting him at the Gentle Path clinic in Hattiesburg, Miss, according to the New York Post

Woods has been holed up in the Mississippi rehab center getting treatment for his sexual addiction.

The fact that Nordegren is willing to visit him in prison (oops. I mean sex addiction rehab) proves she is not yet ready to end the marriage.  He’s probably earning extra points with Nordegren by seeking treatment.

Now, here’s the first piece of bad news.

Daily Beast investigative reporter Gerald Posner, published a story claiming he uncovered the details that occurred the night of Woods’ infamous car crash.

Posner said his report is based on two sources who have discussed the details with Nordegren.

According to his report, Woods told Nordegren the National Enquirer was going to publish a story alleging he had an affair with Rachel Uchitel, also known as mistress number one.

Woods assured Nordegren the accusations were 100 percent false, and he only had a platonic friendship with the nightclub manager. Woods arranged for Nordegren and Uchitel to speak on the phone. Uchitel explained to Woods’ wife that they were just friends, according to the report.

When specific details about an affair appeared in the tabloid, Nordegren argued with Woods. The golfer took an Ambien pill so he could fall asleep.

Nordegren used that opportunity to be sneaky. Pretending to be Woods, she used his phone to send Uchitel flirtacious text messages, according to the report. Uchitel replied to the messages because she thought Woods sent them.

Nordegren confronted Woods by punching him and chasing him out of the house with a golf club. Still disoriented from the Ambien pill, Woods drove away in his vehicle and hit a fire hydrant and a tree.

Now, for the second piece of bad news.  A British newspaper is reporting Woods had an affair with a 42-year-old woman British woman named Emma Rotherham, and he allegedly paid her to keep quiet.

I’ll spare you the explicit details, but the pair reportedly had escapades in his office.

I’m not sure where Woods’ mistress count stands.  I stopped keeping track at number 10.  But I believe he’s near the 20-mistress mark now.

The Olympic Committee should award him a gold medal because he truly earned it.  It takes a lot of hard work to cheat with 20 different women, and no other person could possibly keep up with his count.

He at least deserves to be listed in the Guinness Book of World Records because he broke records on the golf course and in the bedroom.

Sparks was arrested last month, and he was charged with eight felony counts of child molestation. Click here for the details.

Sparks will no longer appear on the show.

Andy Dick accused of sexual abuse

Andy Dick

Comedian Andy Dick was arrested Saturday on sexual abuse complaints.

According to the Associated Press, Dick was accused of grabbing a bouncer’s private parts.

The is the comedian’s second run-in with the law during the past couple of years.

In 2008, a 17-year-old girl accused him of pulling down her bra and exposing her breasts in public at a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant in California.

It’s obvious this guy needs serious help.  In addition to prison time, I hope a judge sentences him to several months of mental counseling.

He also should be required to attend to attend a social skills class because he puts Kanye West to shame when it comes to public rudeness and disrespect.
