Actor Randy Quaid and wife arrested

Randy Quaid arrestedActor Randy Quaid and his wife are too cheap to pay their own hotel bill.

The actor and his wife Evi were arrested in Prisidio County, Texas, accused of skipping out on paying a $10,000 hotel bill in California, according to the Associated Press.

They were charged with burglary, defrauding an innkeeper and conspiracy.

Quaid has a string of movies under his belt, including “Brokeback Mountain,” “Independence Day,” “Kingpin” and several “National Lampoon” movies.

He is the older brother of actor Dennis Quaid.

If he can’t afford to stay in hotels that cost $10,000, maybe he should downgrade to a Motel 6, Days Inn, Sleep Inn or Howard Johnsons.

Stepmom angry at Mackenzie Phillips

Michelle Phillips is furious with her former step-daughter Mackenzie Phillips.

Michelle Phillips

Mackenzie told Oprah Winfrey she had a sexual affair with her father singer John Phillips for 10 years while Michelle and John were married.

Michelle told Vanity Fair magazine, “I’m so embarrassed and mad. At Oprah, at the publisher, and at Mackenzie, who should be on a psychiatrist’s couch, not on TV.”

“Is this all true? We’ll never know, because she waited until John was dead.  If you’re going to make these accusations and they don’t hurt anyone living, that’s one thing. But Mackenzie has affected the lives of all her nieces and nephews, who are not going to school today and are staying home sobbing instead.”

“And the book has come out just at the time that Chynna (former member of the group Wilson Phillips) has to go out on the road with her new album of Christian music.”

It’s funny how Michelle is putting all the blame on Mackenzie, and she said she’s angry with Mackenzie and Oprah.  But she never said she was angry with her ex-husband John Phillips even though he’s the one who initiated sex with his own daughter.

Saved by the Bell star wrote tell-all book

Saved by the bell cast

Dustin Diamond behind the bell“Saved by the Bell” star Dustin Diamond, aka Screech, wrote a tell-all book about his sitcom cast mates.

The book titled Behind The Bell details what went on behind-the-scenes on the popular 1990s sitcom.

In the book, Diamond alleges there were backstage hook-ups among the cast members and drug use.

He also alleges Mark Paul Gosselaar, (known as Zach Morris) used steroids to make himself buff during “Saved by the Bell: The College Years.”

If you want to know the specifics, you’ll have to wait until the book hits shelves Sept. 29.

So what happened to the other “Saved by the Bell” cast?

Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Zach Morris) was a regular on the crime drama “NYPD Blue” from 2001 to 2005.  He currently stars on the TNT drama “Raising the Bar.”

Lark Voorhies (Lisa Turtle) is in talks to portray Whitney Houston in an upcoming biography film.  Since SBTB ended, Voorhies made appearances on various television shows including “The Parkers” “In The House,” “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “Days of our Lives.” Lark also tried her hand at singing.  She became a member of the group Geneva with two of Michael Jackson’s nieces.

Mario Lopez (A.C. Slater) is the host of the MTV competition show “America’s Best Dance Crew.”  He also hosted the Miss Teen USA and Miss America pageants and appeared on 69 episodes of “The Bold and the Beautiful.”  He has also become a staple of celebrity magazines.

Elzabeth Berkley (Jesse Spano) raised eyebrows when she played a stripper in the film “Showgirls.”  She has since appeared on nine episodes of “CSI: Miami” and made guest appearances on “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” and “Without a Trace.”

Tiffani Amber Thiessen (Kelly Kapowski) joined the cast of Beverly Hills 90210 from 1994 to 2000.  She has made appearances on “Fastlane,” “Just Shoot Me” and “What About Brian.”

Dustin Diamond (Screech Powers) besides writing his tell-all book, Dustin released a sex tape with his female companion to make extra money.  He also was contestant on “VH1 Celebrity Fit Club,” in which he caused plenty of drama.

Dennis Haskins (Mr. Belding) also made a string of television appearances including “JAG,” “The Practice” and ”The West Wing.  He recently landed a role in the upcoming comedy “The Legend of Awesomest Maxium” alongside “Beverly Hills 90210″ actor Ian Ziering.

Jay-Z, Alicia Keys discuss Lil Mama crashing their performance

Everyone was so focused on Kanye West crashing Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech during the MTV Video Music Awards, that everyone seems to overlook that Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ performance was crashed too.

While Jay-Z and Alicia were performing their duet to the song “Empire State of Mind” during the awards finale, rapper Lil Mama appeared out of nowhere, walked on the stage and stood next to them.

Lil Mama

Radio personality Angie Martinez interviewed Jay-Z this week about the incident.   Jay-Z said “Me, personally, I would never do that.  I would never have the nerve to do that. It’s just like, someone’s up there performing, we went through rehearsals, we did run throughs and we worked really hard at the performance to put on a show for people and to interrupt that moment for us, you know, I don’t think that was the right thing to do. I actually thought it was the equivalent of what Kanye did to Taylor Swift.  And I’m cool with her being excited and all that but you have to understand, people put in work to make that performance happen, that took weeks.  I was a little angry to be honest, but what I’ma do, fight Lil Mama?”

Alicia Keys appeared on NBC’s Today Show and discussed the incident.  She said “I would rather not speak about it because the performance was so phenomenal it doesn’t even matter about anything else.  Jay-Z and I are native New Yorkers.  It’s kind of a classic New York song like new Frank Sinatra, Liza Minnelli.  I can appreciate her being overwhelmed and inspired but we would have preferred she did it from her seat.”

Lil Mama later released a statement apologizing to the performers.  She said

“I did not mean any disrespect towards Jay-Z or Alicia Keys.  I admire them and look up to them as role models. ‘Empire State of Mind’ had my emotions running high. In that moment I came up onstage to celebrate my two icons singing about NY.”

It seems to me like Lil Mama just wanted some attention. She didn’t want to let Kanye West have all the attention for crashing the stage.

To watch the clip of Lil Mama crashing the stage during Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ performance, the video clip is posted below.  Fast forward the video to the five-minute mark.

Mackenzie Phillips had sex with her father

I thought the circumstances surround Michael Jackson’s death was going to be the craziest celebrity news story of the year. However, I was dead wrong.  Actress Mackenzie Phillips has officially won that title.  Mackenzie wrote a tell-all book about her life.

Mackenzie Phillips

The most disturbing part of the book was when she revealed she slept with her father the day before her wedding in 1979 at age 19.

“On the eve of my wedding, my father showed up, determined to stop it.  I had tons of pills, and Dad had tons of everything too. Eventually I passed out on Dad’s bed.”

“My father was not a man with boundaries. He was full of love, and he was sick with drugs. I woke up that night from a blackout to find myself having sex with my own father. Had this happened before? I didn’t know. All I can say is it was the first time I was aware of it. For a moment I was in my body, in that horrible truth, and then I slid back into a blackout.”

“One night Dad said, ‘We could just run away to a country where no one would look down on us. There are countries where this is an accepted practice. Maybe Fiji.  He was completely delusional. No, I thought, we’re going to hell for this.”

She also said the sexual relationship with her father lasted 10 years.

Mackenzie Phillips’ father is the late John Phillips who was a member of the group The Mamas & the Papas whose hit songs inlcuded “California Dreamin” and “Monday, Monday.”

He fathered four other children including Chynna Phillips from the pop group Wilson Phillips and actress/singer Bijou Phillips.

Mackenzie became famous when she starred on the television show “One Day at a Time” from 1975 to 1983.  In recent years, she appeared on “Cold Case,” “Without a Trace,” “ER” “7th Heaven” and 63 episodes of the Disney Channel show “So Weird.”

Mackenzie will reveal more details about her father and her drug use during an interview with Oprah Winfrey, which will air today (Sept. 23).

I wish Mackenzie had made the revelations to the public while her father was still alive, so he could suffer the consequences.

Kelly Clarkson likes her butt

Kelly Clarkson

Many critics have been overly harsh toward singer Kelly Clarkson because she’s gained a few pounds during the past year or so–most notably in the derriere department.

But the criticism doesn’t seem to bother her.  In an interiew with Now Magazine, Kelly said she’s a fan of her butt.

She said “‘I totally have no chest, I’m all butt.  Ever since I was a kid I’ve had a bubble butt – I get it from my mama. Guys are usually like, ‘Oh my gosh, look at that butt.’ In a good way.”

“I’m a fan of my butt.  I like filling out a pair of jeans, because sometimes I see girls who can’t. ‘If a girl wanted bigger boobs, she could get them, but you can’t get a bigger butt.”

Actually, Kelly is wrong. There is a such thing as butt implants.  But anyway, I guess it’s good to know that Kelly is confident in her backside. (not really)
