Justin Timberlake to star in Facebook movie
Facebook currently has more than 300 million users, and Hollywood is ready to capitalize on it by creating a film about the popular social networking site.
“The Social Network” will star pop singer Justin Timberlake, Jesse Eisenberg and Andrew Garfield.
According to Variety magazine, Timberlake will portray Napster co-founder and Facebook president Sean Parker. Garfield will portray Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin while Eisenberg will play the other co-founder Mark Zuckerberg.
This isn’t Timberlake’s first attempt at non-fiction movies.
Timberlake convincingly portrayed Frankie Ballenbacher in the 2006 film “Alpha Dog,” which is about convicted murderer Jesse James Hollywood.
Shooting on the film will begin at the end of the year.
Actor Kevin Spacey will serve as the film’s executive producer, and the script was written by “West Wing” creator Aaron Sorkin.
