Ex-wife speaks about LeAnn Rimes alleged affair
Country singer LeAnn Rimes might have stole Brandi Glanville’s husband away from her, but Brandi isn’t staying silent on the situation.
In an interview with People magazine, Brandi said she sensed LeAnn had the hots for her husband actor Eddie Cibrian because she flirted with him during a double date with LeAnn and her husband Dean Sheremet.
Reports began to surface that LeAnn and Eddie were having an affair because the two of them were caught on camera kissing each other at a restaurant. (Click here to watch the video clip of the incident).
Brandi said her and Eddie went to marriage counseling to try to save their union after his affair LeAnn. However, Eddie and LeAnn continued to see each other.
Eddie and Brandi eventually filed for a divorce. Despite repeated denials of an affair, LeAnn and Eddie attended a concert together last weekend.

Michael Jackson’s death ruled a homicide
Pop singer Michael Jackson’s death was officially ruled a homicide. (no surprise there). The Associated Press story is posted below via NewsOK.
ASSOCIATED PRESS
The Los Angeles County coroner has ruled Michael Jackson’s death a homicide, a law enforcement official told The Associated Press, a finding that makes it more likely criminal charges will be filed against the doctor who was with the pop star when he died and is the target of a manslaughter investigation.
Reports from law enforcement say the Los Angeles County coroner has ruled Michael Jackson’s death a homicide.
The coroner determined a fatal combination of drugs was given to Jackson hours before he died June 25 in his rented Los Angeles mansion, according to the official who spoke on condition of anonymity because the findings have not been publicly released. Forensic tests found the powerful anesthetic propofol acted together with at least two sedatives to cause Jackson’s death, the official said.
Dr. Conrad Murray, a Las Vegas cardiologist who became Jackson’s personal physician weeks before his death, is the target of the Los Angeles Police Department’s manslaughter investigation.
According to a search warrant affidavit unsealed Monday in Houston, Murray told investigators he administered a 25 mg dose of propofol around 10:40 a.m. after spending the night injecting Jackson with two sedatives in an unsuccessful attempt to get him to sleep.
The warrant, dated July 23, states that lethal levels of propofol were found in Jackson’s system. Besides the propofol and two sedatives, the coroner’s toxicology report found other substances in Jackson’s system but they were not believed to have been a factor in the singer’s death, the official said.
Murray has spoken to police and last week released a video saying he “told the truth and I have faith the truth will prevail.” His attorney, Edward Chernoff, had no immediate comment but has previously said Murray never administered anything that “should have” killed Jackson.
A call to the coroner’s office was not returned Monday.
Murray did not say anything about the drugs he gave to Jackson.

Reality show contestant found dead
The reality show contestant accused of killing his ex-wife was found dead in Canada.
Ryan Jenkins’ body was found hanging in a hotel, and police said it appears to be suicide.
Last week, Jenkins was charged with murder after his ex-wife’s body (Jasmine Fiore) was found mutilated inside of a suitcase in Buena Park, California. Fiore, 28, was a Playboy model.
In June, Jenkins was charged with battery for allegedly using his fist to hit her in the arm, according to CNN.
Jenkins was a contestant on the VH1 reality show “Megan Wants To Marry A Millionaire,” which is a spin-off of Bret Michael’s reality show “Rock of Love.”
He also taped the third season of the VH1 reality show “I Love Money,” which hasn’t aired yet.
JoJo sues record company
R&B singer JoJo became famous at age 14 with her hit song “Leave (Get Out)” in 2004 and “Too Little Too Late” in 2006. Now, the 18-year-old singer is suing her record label Da Family Entertainment.
According to the lawsuit, JoJo is demanding the record label let her out of her contract and pay $500,000. In a statement posted on her MySpace blog, JoJo said:
“Recently I had to make one of the toughest decisions in my career thus far. It’s a long drawn out story, but I wont bore you with all the gory details… lol.”
“For the past year and a half I’ve been diligently cooperating with my record label(s) so I can have the opportunity to continue with my career and do what I love the most; create music and sing. I’ve been a patient team player and have done everything that was asked and/or expected of me. As you may already know, my record company has been going through a major transition and unfortunately all of the artists on the label have been forced to sit on the sidelines and wait.”
“I exhausted every option and exercised much patience before reaching my final decision to file a formal complaint with the court. My situation is a bit a-typical. It is not a case where the artist loves the material they are making, is set in his or her ways, will not take direction or advice, and will not cooperate with the label. This is NOT the case at all.”
“I’ve been blessed to receive great feedback from the record company in response to the music I’ve been delivering. But unfortunately I have become a victim of industry politics that honestly have nothing to do with me personally or professionally. Because of this, I am willing to fight for what I love and ultimately for the chance to regain control of my livelihood and my life. I cant wait for the day when I can share the music that me and the album’s contributors have created.”
“I am so anxious to get back to what really matters. I didn’t get into this industry for anything else other than my absolute passion for and love of MUSIC. At 12 years old when my mom and I signed the contracts, I could never have imagined that there would be so many other, far less attractive aspects to this business. However, at the end of the day I hold no animosity towards my record company(s). I learned from an early age that this is a business and it is NOT personal.”
“I love and appreciate every single person who has stuck by me and supported me through these trying times, particularly my fans. I love you guys so much and I couldn’t get through this without you. As I’ve mentioned in previous blogs, I really look forward to speaking more candidly about this time in my life and most importantly, delivering the music that has taken such a long time to come out. I will not rest until my goals are actualized.’
“Thanks again for your encouragement and your patience!”

Michael Jackson’s burial postponed yet again
Michael Jackson’s burial has been postponed yet again.
The body was supposed to be buried Aug. 29 on his birthday, then it was postponed to Aug. 31. Now, it will take place Sept. 3.
I respect the Jackson family, but it’s time to stop delaying the inevitable. They need to realize he’s not coming back alive. It’s time to finally bury him.
I’m sure his body has already decomposed because its been two months since his death.

Hi-Five singer shot five times
Treston Irby from the 1990s R&B group Hi-Five was injured during a nightclub shooting earlier this week.
Irby was shot five times outside of the Everybodeez nightclub in New Haven, Connecticut, according to the New Haven Register. A motive for the shooting is unknown. Irby is recovering at a local hospital.
Irby, 36, made an appearance at the club to promote himself as a solo artist. Irby joined the R&B group Hi-Five during the 1990s. Their hit songs included, “I Like The Way (The Kissing Game),” “I Can’t Wait Another Minute” and “Quality Time.”
The lead singer of the group was Oklahoma City native Tony Thompson who died in 2007 from an accidental drug overdose.
Miley Cyrus performs with stripper pole
Miley Cyrus raised eyebrows when she performed during the Teen Choice Awards using a stripper pole.
Miley’s father Billy Ray Cyrus defended his daughter Thursday during an interview with Access Hollywood. He said “You know what? I just think that Miley loves entertaining people. She loves singing and songwriting. I always tell her to love what you’re doing and stay focused for the love of the art and not worry so much about opinion.”
In an interview with US Weekly magazine he said “I give my kids a lot of freedom to make the art they wanna make, and make it in their own voice. I think it’s important.”
Miley’s show “Hanna Montana” airs on the Disney network. Disney executives distanced themselves from the controversy. They released a statement that said “Disney Channel won’t be commenting on that performance, although parents can rest assured that all content presented on the Disney Channel is age-appropriate for our audience — kids 6-14 — and consistent with what our brand values are.”
Now, I certainly have nothing against watching females dance around a stripper pole—as long as they are adult females. Miley is not an adult. She’s only 16 years old. She’s still a child. I think she should wait a few more years before she starts using poles.

Jermaine Jackson criticizes brother Michael Jackson
In front of the cameras, Jermaine Jackson has always been a staunch defender of his brother Michael Jackson. But behind the scenes, Jermaine saw things differently.
Before Michael died, Jermaine wrote a book proposal about Michael. The title of the book was going to be “Legacy.”
MSNBC obtained excerpts from the book proposal written by Jermaine.
Jermaine wrote “”My brother is not what the world thinks he is; he’s not what we’ve always told you he was either. My brother is a superstar, yes. My brother is wealthy. He owns shares in Sony music. He drinks, he does drugs, he lies, he cheats, he changed his skin color and mostly, he’s human.”
Of course, Jermaine has no plans of releasing the book now that Michael has died.
Jermaine was originally the lead singer of the Jackson 5 until Michael took over in 1968.
Jermaine pursued a solo career after the group disbanded, but he never reached the level of musical success as Michael.
Also, Jermaine released a song in 1991 titled “Word to the Badd,” where he criticized Michael in the lyrics.
Maybe Jermaine was telling the truth in his book proposal, or maybe he exaggerated because he was jealous of Michael stealing the spotlight from him, or maybe it was sibling rivalry.
Too bad we won’t get to read the entire book.
