Celebrities react to the Chris Brown plea deal
Celebrities are giving their opinion regarding Chris Brown’s plea agreement. Brown pleaded guilty to assault charges June 22, and he was sentenced to five years probation.
Several celebrities spoke to MTV cameras about the court ruling while walking on the red carpet at the premiere for “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.”
Their comments are posted below their photos. (All photos are from the Associated Press)

Former Danity Kane singer Aubrey O'Day said "Violence is never the answer, even if provoked. But with bigger issued like war, we just need to let go and forgive. Let people move on. He's incredibly talented. Regardless of his personal decisions, I will always support his music."

"Gossip Girl" actress Taylor Momsen said "I wish Chris Brown Luck. People like to obsess over personal lives. So, I'm sure it's not the end."

Oklahoma native Nick Wheeler from the rock band All-American Rejects said "If it was just a regular dude, would the sentence have been the same?" "No one should turn a blind eye to abuse. He should get what he gets. "We did a show with Rihanna a couple years ago and she was nice."

Actor Anthony Anderson said "I wish them well. I'm not going to let a personal instance taint my opinion of someone musically."

I dont think name calling is a way of getting a point across. I am not one for beating on females. I do think he might have been judged differently but he confessed. I think with being an entertainer you will always be under the watchful eye of public. I dont think its right to label him a thug or an animal when at one time in our lives we have done wrong ourselves. He apologized what more can we do. Nobody is perfect let the courts and GOD do the judging. We worry so much about everyone else we dont see the evil that we do. Personal should be just that personal. What you do in your house, relationships etc etc is on you. LIVE AND LET LIVE What he eats does not make you SHIT get it got it good.

Of course, the sentence was just… he’s a talented musician.
All talented musicians should NEVER get the same sentence as those who
are not talented.
I’m reading some of the comments from these so called celebs. They need to wake up.
Isn’t this how O.J. started out? A few domestic violence calls… judge brushed them off.. because you know.. he was a talented athletic.

No court ordered counseling? No anger management therapy?
Rihanna should be ordered to counseling as well and maybe spend a few weeks in a shelter for battered
women. Maybe that will open her eyes and make her see what’s in her future if she goes back with this thug.
