This woulda happen whether he came out of the closet or not.... So, I hope that he doesn't beat himself up and regret his decision of coming out of the closet... I respect him a great deal for coming out, and I don't think that coming out had anything to do with his failing musical career... I think he shoulda went toward a differnt direction with his music, because his music sucks.... But I wish him the best of luck in the future!!

The title of the article should read "RCA Foolishly Loses Clay Aiken." He is much better off without RCA. They forced him to record cover songs instead of finding music that could advance his career. I see no loss on Clay's part at all. Instead, I see an opportunity.

Overall, I think the fans are happy over this! Even if you don't like the music, He's got a great voice and they didn't know what to do with him - besides market him to the current fans. After huge popularity post season 2 they came out with a CD of Cover songs. If only the current fans are being targeted, then why have a label? There were 3 other songs that were more AC than On My Way Here on that CD, yet that's the one they released. He's better off with someone else or independent.
