Billboard Top 10 Albums
Country singer Taylor Swift is spending a seventh week at number one on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart.
The last time an artist spent seven weeks at number one was in 2004 with Usher’s ”Confessions” album.
Another surprise of the week was American Idol winner David Cook’s debut album saw a 58 percent increase in sales which pushed the album from number 18 to number 10.

Every celebrity magazine and entertainment news program in the country has been airing stories about how Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are having marital problems and are on the verge of divorce.
However, the couple showed plenty public displays of affection during an inaugural ball.
The couple performed a Spanish love song together at the ball, and they even shared not one but two kisses.
I’m not sure whether it was all an act just to get the entertainment media to be quiet, or if they really were sincere.
I remember several years ago, when journalists reported that Lopez and Sean “P. Diddy” Combs were on the verge of breaking up during the 1990s. They denied it at first, but they broke up a short time later.
I also remember when journalists reported that Lopez was on the verge of divorcing her now ex-husband Cris Judd. They both denied it, but they ended up divorcing a short time later as well.
I guess only time will tell.

Shia LaBeouf driver’s license suspended
Actor Shia LaBeouf’s driver’s license was suspended this week for refusing to take a alcohol breath test.
LaBeouf was involed in a car accident last summer, and police suspected alcohol was involved.
However, LaBeouf refused to take the breath test. It should be noted that LaBeouf was cleared of any wrongdoing, and he wasn’t charged with a DUI.
However, under California law, authorities can suspend the license of anyone who declines to take a breath test.
LaBeouf underwent two surgeries on his hand which was injured during the wreck.
Although he no longer has his license, there’s no need to feel sorry for him. He can still afford to hire a personal driver and a limousine.

Beyonce sang to Barack and Michelle Obama
In a very touching moment, Beyonce serenaded Barack and Michelle Obama during an inaugural ball.
Beyonce sang the Etta James classic song “At Last” while the new president and first lady danced.

Macaulay Culkin’s sister was impaired by alcohol when she died
A coroner said Macaulay Culkin’s sister Dakota Culkin was “more than likely impaired due to alcohol, according to People magazine.
Traces of alcohol was found in her system, but it’s not known what her blood alcohol level was.
Dakota Culkin, 29, was killed in December when she stepped out in front of a vehicle in Los Angeles.
The 29-year-old stepped out in front a car in Los Angeles, and the driver hit her.
She was rushed to the hospital with head injuries, and she later died.
The coroner also said the Culkin family told authorities she was attending a therapy program for alcohol addiction.
Jill Biden said Joe Biden was offered secretary of state job
It seems Vice President Joe Biden’s wife Jill Biden talks a little too much.
When the couple appeared on the “Oprah Winfrey Show” on the eve of the inauguration, Jill Biden revealed something the Obama administration wanted to keep private.
She told Oprah, “Joe had the choice to be secretary of state or vice president.” Joe Biden then said “Shhh” and the audience laughed.
Still, she continued, “OK, he did. If you’re secretary of state, you’ll be away, we’ll never see you.”
The Obama team quickly released a statement that said President Obama “offered Vice President Biden one job only — to be his running mate, and the vice president was thrilled to accept the offer.”
Jill Biden was probably telling the truth, but it was apparent the Obama team didn’t want that piece of information out there.
Especially since that makes it look like Hillary Clinton was Obama’s second choice for secretary of state, and no one wants to play second fiddle.

SWV singer will compete on Survivor
Former SWV singer Taj Johnson-George is a contestant on the new season of “Suvivor.”
The 37-year-old singer is the wife of former NFL player Eddie George, and she was part of the R&B group SWV during the 1990s. SWV became famous with various hits including “Weak” and “I’m So Into You.”
When I first heard Taj was going to be on the show, I figured there was no way she was going to win. However, I am now having second thoughts after seeing how tough she acts during the previews.
The season will premiere Feb. 12 on CBS.

Jonas Brothers records a Shania Twain remake
The Jonas Brothers will be releasing an album Feb. 24, and they recorded a Shania Twain remake for the album.
The brothers remade Twain’s 2002 song “I’m Gonne Getcha Good.”
Shania Twain is one of kind. It will be very difficult for them to pull off that remake.
Nevertheless, they tried it anyway, and we’ll have to wait and see how it turned out. Typically, when artists perform a remake, they wait several years after the song was originally made. Shania’s song is only seven years old.
The song will be on the soundtrack to “3D Concert Experience” where the Jonas Brothers shot footage from their previous tour.

Kelly Osbourne arrested
Kelly Osbourne was recently arrested for slapping a journalist.
The alleged incident occurred last summer when a gossip columnist Zoe Griffin made jokes about Osbourne’s boyfriend in a story that she wrote.
Osbourne didn’t appreciate those comments so she slapped the columnist. She was later arrested and released on bail.
Word to the wise. Don’t EVER slap a journalist. You won’t get away with it. Griffin wrote about the run-in with Osbourne in a column that is posted below.
Griffin said “I’ve experienced tantrums, tiaras and a bit of stiletto stomping at showbiz parties, but I was shocked to be slapped in the face by Kelly Osbourne on Thursday night. Yes, really. The spoilt, self-righteous daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne approached me in full-view of my friends at London nightclub Punk and clonked me in the face.
It was hard enough to make my head swing back. And I was left sitting on a sofa dazed as my friends asked, ‘did you really just get slapped by a Radio 1 agony aunt?’
And to top it off, 23-year-old Kelly came back for more five minutes later. She jabbed her finger in the air and issued a volley of threats.
‘You better watch it. You better watch it. If you write about it, you better watch it.’
Well sorry Kelly, I won’t be silenced by bullies.
It was just after midnight and the former Chicago star, whose Sky One Project Catwalk show has just been dropped, was in a lively mood from the moment she arrived. I watched her down a few glasses of champagne as she jumped around to cheesy ’80s classics like Belinda Carlisle’s hit Heaven is a Place on Earth.
Then she bent down and bizarrely spent a long time looking down the sleeve of a friend. That’s when she spotted me, plonked herself right next to me on a sofa, so close I had to lean away.
She began ear-bashing me about two lines in my column when I wrote her model boyfriend Luke Worrall had to ask friends how an earthquake was caused.
It was at that point Kelly shouted loudly in my ear: “I have an issue with you. My boyfriend knows what an earthquake is and everyone has been laughing at him and he’s upset.”
Ray J gets his own dating reality show
R&B singer Ray J is getting his own dating reality show. “For The Love of Ray J” will begin airing Feb. 2 on VH1.
During the show Ray J will attempt to find true love out of 14 contestants.

Amy Winehouse won’t let husband divorce her
Amy Winehouse said she won’t let her husband Blake Fielder-Civil divorce her.
Blake, who is serving time behind bars, instructed his lawyers to file divorce papers because Amy was publicly having an affair with rugby player and actor Josh Bowman.
Amy told the The Sun Newspaper “I still love my Blake. I won’t let him divorce me. Blake is the male version of me. We’re perfect for each other. I don’t want to go back home to England. I want to wait for Blake here. Josh was lovely. But it was a holiday thing. I’ve got my Blake.”
Just when I thought Amy was finally getting her life back on the right track, she proved me wrong.

Wife says Dwyane Wade gave her an STD
NBA player Dwyane Wade’s divorce proceedings are turning ugly.
According to the Miami Herald, his wife Siohvaughn filed court papers alleging Wade cheated on her, doesn’t spend time with their children, and gave her an STD. She also wants the names of all of his sexual partners during the past six years.
Wade’s attorney issued a statement saying “These malicious allegations are absolutely false and we look forward to the opportunity to dispute them in court.”
Wade’s wife is very gutsy. She admitted that she has an STD so the entire world will know. She also threw salt in Dwyane’s game because no woman will ever want to be with him again knowing that he has an STD.

Beyonce’s song of choice? She will be performing “At Last” by Etta James. Beyonce recently portrayed Etta James in the film “Cadillac Records.”

Taylor Swift will guest star on CSI
We know Taylor Swift can sing (kind of). We know she’s attractive (sort of). But can she act?
We will find out soon when she guest stars on the television show “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.” The episode will air in late February or early March.
According to a CBS network press release, Swift will play Haley Jones, “a teenage girl whose family runs a seedy Las Vegas hotel. Over the course of a year, Haley goes through a series of changes that have tragic consequences.”
hmmm. Sounds intriguing.

Kimora Lee Simmons is pregnant
US Weekly magazine is reporting that Kimora Lee Simmons is pregnant with her boyfriend actor Djimon Hounsou’s child.
Kimora has been dating Djimon since her divorce with Russell Simmons.
Kimora and Russell have two daughters together. Maybe this one with Djimon will be a boy.
Oklahoma Christian University counselor to appear on Food Network
Matt Johns had no problem consuming 1,500 calories in a single meal. Multiple trips to a local fast food restaurant were an essential part of his daily routine.
When the Oklahoma Christian University admissions counselor tipped the scale at 242 pounds last January, he knew it was time to make a lifestyle change.
Johns, 25, gradually eliminated fast food trips from his routine and started exercising regularly. Four months later, he weighed 225 pounds.
He heard representatives from the Food Network were having casting call interviews to select someone who was willing to have their weight loss documented. Johns attended the interview in May, and he was selected.
“They said I was the only one who didn’t cry in the audition, and they wanted someone upbeat,” Johns said.
The crew filmed Johns’ weight loss journey from the end of May through the beginning of August as his weight dropped from 225 to 206 pounds.
They filmed him at home, followed him to work, documented his fitness routine and zoomed in on every calorie he swallowed.
The footage will be featured on the show “My Life in Food,” which airs 5:30 p.m. Jan. 17 and Jan. 24 on the Food Network.
The episode also will highlight Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett’s weight loss initiative, which challenged residents to lose a million pounds.
Johns said losing the weight wasn’t the hardest part of the process. He said maintaining the weight loss has been the biggest obstacle.
“It’s difficult to keep it off because it’s difficult for me to change my lifestyle and not go to fast food restaurants as much,” he said.
Since the cameras disappeared, Johns lost 10 more pounds. He now weighs 196 pounds.

Naked photo of Madonna is on the auction block
If you want to see what Madonna looked like in the nude 30 years ago, it’s going to cost you at least $10,000.
The photo was taken back in 1979 when Madonna was 20 years old. It was later published in Playboy magazine in 1985.
I’ve never seen this photo so I can’t give you any more details. The auction will be held Feb. 12.

Rosario Dawson will host Saturday Night Live
Actress Rosario Dawson will host Saturday Nigh Live Jan. 17. Dawson recently played alongside Will Smith in the film “Seven Pounds.”
The film has earned $67 million at the box office. The band Fleet Foxes will be the musical guest.
Singer Aubrey O’Day posed for Playboy
After getting kicked out of the group last year, former Danity Kane singer Aubrey O’Day recently posed for the March issue of Playboy magazine.
In an interview with MTV, she said “I’ve done the cover of Playboy. You know, I think that Playboy for me was one of the most liberating things that I’ve done as a woman.”
P. Diddy kicked O’Day out of the group Danity Kane, and now that she’s flying solo, she needs all the help she can get.
Playboy magazine was probably a smart move for her to revive her career because it will bring attention to her.
