Fantasia Barrino’s house has been foreclosed
Season three American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino’s home has been foreclosed in North Carolina.
Media Take Out printed the foreclosure report, and it looks like the R&B singer’s home will be placed on the auction block.
When Fantasia won American Idol, she received a $1 million record contract.
Apparently, that $1 million didn’t last long. Fantasia’s first album was released in 2004, and it sold two million copies worldwide.
However, since then, Fantasia has had difficulty selling her music.
The economy is struggling in the U.S., and many Americans are struggling to pay their bills. I guess famous celebrities are struggling too.
Her home will be auctioned. If anyone is interested in bidding on the home, the picture is posted below.

I have to respectfully disagree on 2 of the abvove comments. Because I actually do feel sorry for Fantasia, and I don’t have reason that she mis-managed her finances. I feel that Fantasia hasn’t gotten the type of promotion that other American Idol winners have received. I think that Fantasia has been at a dis-advantage, once she won. Compared to others, Fantasia hasn’t had a fair shot.
To me fantasia is a wonderful lady,and no one can touch her singing, the same God that help her to make it through American Idol, the same God will give her another one.so don’t talk about her pray for her because that could be you next.
Most big stars go broke in the beginning because the record company gets 95% of the profits. It happened to Anita Baker, Prince, Toni Braxton, TLC, and many more. She did not mis manage her money, she did not have as much as she thought that she did.

When the group TLC came out, TLC sold 75 million albums world wide. Clive Davis, the OWNER of the RECORD LABEL, gave Chili, T-boz, and Left eye $only 50,000 dollars a piece.
This happens to all stars that do not have business savy. THEY GET CHEATED. Fantasia got cheated as well. The best thing for her was a MOVIE about herself. That saved her.
These record companies pump the artist up really good there first 2 or 3 albums because they know that they are beginners who do not have business skills.
The africian american race needs to be more sympathetic towards each other. Instead of calling Fantasia ill words we should pray for her health and safety. Aside from being an incredible artist, she also wears her heart on her sleeve. She stuck by her family, reached out to the less fortunate and blessed us with amazing music that carried throughout my days many times. I hope we all allow her and family the space time and compassion needed to break thru this ordeal. I always thougth she was dealt a wrong hand from the begining because she is the definition of a african american sista with striking african american features which instead of working for her, worked against her. There is’nt a femake artist out there today who have the lung power Fantasia was blest with, so why should people like Beyonce, Rihana, Ciara, Alicia Keys and Jordan Sparks get a free pass through, I am Rihana’s No.1 fan but lets face it, vocally she’s no Fantasia, Just another light skin pretty face. Just for the recors, Fantasia is a beautiful, full lips, big hearted person. We love you here in the Bahamas.
I wish Fantasia love, good health, peace, joy, happiness, prsperity, success and more spirituality. I belive she will be around a long time just as Pattie Labelle, Chaka, Aretha, and Tina Tuner.
Fantasia, you are loved, so don’t give up.
