Janet Jackson won’t rescedule canceled shows
It looks Janet Jackson won’t rescheduling any of her canceled shows during her “Rock Witchu Tour.”
According to the Associated Press, the seven concerts that Janet missed due to an illness won’t be rescheduled at all.
Janet canceled her shows in Montreal, Boston, Philadelphia, Greensboro, Ft. Lauderdale, Uncasville and Syracuse in September and October because she had vertigo.
At first she said she was going reschedule the shows, but now she is not.
That’s tough luck for the fans in those seven cities who won’t get to see her perform.
She performed at the Bank of Oklahoma Center in Tulsa last month, and I was fortunate enough to attend that show.

Danny Bonaduce will pay ex-wife $16,000 a month
Danny Bonaduce’s wife will be $16,000 a month richer. Gretchen Bonaduce will be getting that much from Danny every month in alimony and child support.
The divorce was finalized this week, and it was revealed that Danny earns $780,000 a year. I guess the former “Partridge Family” child star isn’t broke like everyone thought he was.
As for his ex-wife, it must be nice to get $16,000 a month for free. I barely make that much in a full year.

Celebrities react to Barack Obama’s victory
Celebrities have long supported the Democratic candidates during presidential elections.
They supported Al Gore in 2000, and he lost (thanks to the Supreme Court), they supported John Kerry in 2004, and he lost.
The supported Barack Obama this year, and he won. Celebrities finally have a victory notch in their belt.
Barack Obama easily won the presidential election Tuesday night earning 349 electoral votes giving him enough to win the election.
Here are reactions from celebrities who backed the candidate……
“It feels like hope won. It feels like there’s a shift in consciousness. It feels like something really big and bold has happened here, like nothing ever in our lifetimes did we expect this to happen.” (Oprah Winfrey, The BBC)
“I’m speechless, honestly. I don’t even know what to say. Barack Obama doesn’t represent a color. He represents change.” (from singer Usher, Access Hollwood)
“My parents met working for Obama’s running mate on one of his early campaigns. If it weren’t for Joe Biden, I would not exist as a human being. I am proud to be a part of history in the making.” (singer Pete Wentz, People magazine)
“I congratulate President-elect Obama on his historic victory, and now it’s time to begin unifying the country so we can take on the extraordinary challenges that this generation faces.” (actor George Clooney, Entertainment Tonight)
“I felt like my vote was the vote that put him into office, and that may not be true but that’s how much power it felt like I had.” (P. Diddy, People magazine)
“This is my proudest day as an American. We have elected a leader that represents change and unity. Barack Obama has carved his place in history as a true beacon of hope.” (Nick Cannon, MTV)
“Hey, the American people spoke. They elected Barack Obama as our president and our new Commander in Chief, and I’m behind that 100 percent. (Joe the Plumber, The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet.
Below are some Associated Press photos of the Obama family before the acceptance speech.
Author Michael Crichton died from cancer
Author Michael Crichton has died from a battle with cancer. Crichton was most famous for writing the books ”Jurassic Park” ”Congo,” “Sphere” and “The Lost World” which were turned into movies.
His family released a statement that said, “Through his books, Michael Crichton served as an inspiration to students of all ages, challenged scientists in many fields, and illuminated the mysteries of the world in a way we could all understand.”
They also said, “He will be profoundly missed by those whose lives he touched, but he leaves behind the greatest gifts of a thirst for knowledge, the desire to understand, and the wisdom to use our minds to better our world.”
Crichton was 66 years old… RIP.
Billboard Top 10 Albums
AC/DC took the top spot for the second week in the row on the Billboard Top 200 albums chart.
Their latest CD is titled “Black Ice.” Pink’s new CD ”Funhouse” comes in at number two. The most surprising position is Celine Dion’s greatest hits CD.
Most people probably didn’t know she even had a CD coming out, but yet, it landed at number eight.
T.I. is still in the top 10. No surprise there. Lil Wayne finally dropped out of the top 10, and it’s about time. He’s becoming overexposed, and I think people are getting a little tired of hearing him on the radio because he dominates all of the stations.

Carrie Underwood doesn’t respect celebrities who publicly support a politician
Carrie Underwood doesn’t have any respect for Oprah Winfrey, Tom Hanks, Jay-Z, P. Diddy, Jamie Foxx, Scarlett Johansson and numerous other celebrities.
In an interview with TV Guide, she said when it comes to celebrity presidential endorsements, “I lose all respect for celebrities when they back a candidate.”
Although Carrie didn’t single out those people above, the people that I mentioned are a list of celebrities who are outspoken about their support and endorsement for a presidential candidate.
Since Carrie said she loses respect for people who publicly support a candidate, they basically means she has no respect for those people above.
Carrie also went on to say, “It’s saying that the American public isn’t smart enough to make their own decisions. I would never want anybody to vote for anything or anybody just because I told them to.”
It’s understandable if Carrie doesn’t like it when celebrities try to make America vote a certain way.
However, they do have the right to free speech, and I would never lose respect for anyone who exercises their free speech rights.
Carrie has exercised her free speech rights in the past when she announced to the world that she is a vegetarian, and I didn’t lose all respect for her. So, she shouldn’t lose respect for celebrities who voice their opinions.

Nelly and Ashanti finally admit that they are a couple
After a few years of claiming that they are just “friends,” rapper Nelly and R&B singer Ashanti finally admitted that they are more than just “friends.”
In an interview with People magazine, Nelly says that he and Ashanti are serious with one another.
This probably comes as a shock to no one because even though they always denied being in a relationship with each other, they have been photographed getting cozy with each other during the past several months or so.
I understand if celebrities want to keep their relationships a secret. However, this is no need to lie about the relationship and try to make the public think you’re not an item even though you are.
I’m glad Nelly and Ashanti have finally come forward and told us what we already knew.

A Def Jam record executive commits suicide
Shakir Stewart, executive vice president of Def Jam Records, committed suicide during the weekend. Police said his body was found in his bathroom at his home near Atlanta. Police believe that he shot himself.
His fiance Michelle Rivers released a statement that said, “We would like to thank Shakir’s friends for the tremendous outpouring of love and support we have received during this difficult time. It has helped us to cope with our overwhelming grief and sadness. It is difficult to express or explain in words what led to the tragic occurrence on Saturday. Over the past several weeks, Shakir’s behavior was inconsistent with the man we all know and love. As much as we all tried to help him, Shakir was in deep pain and largely suffering in silence. Please remember Shakir for who he was … a wonderful father, partner, son and friend.”
It seemed like this man had everything going for him. He was engaged to be married, he was a father, and he has been a successful music executive for most of his life.
Throughout his career, he was responsible for signing Beyonce, Ciara, Young Jeezy and Rick Ross.
I’m not sure what pushed him man over the edge, and we’ll probably never find out, but it looks like he had a lot to live for. He was 34-years-old…..RIP.

John McCain on Saturday Night Live
Republican presidential candidate John McCain gave a humorous performance on Saturday Night Live during the weekend (Nov. 1).
He appeared in a skit with Tina Fey (as Sarah Palin) and his real wife Cindy.
The clip is below.
Country singer Mindy McCready released from jail
Country singer Mindy McCready received a Halloween present from the legal system.
She was released early from from jail on Oct. 31 because of good behavior.
She was sentenced to 60 days in jail for violating her probation, and she ended up serving only a month.
McCready became famous in 1996 with her hit country song “Guys Do It All The Time” from her double platinum album “Ten Thousand Angels.”
Unfortunately she hasn’t had a hit song since then. Now that she is out of jail maybe she can begin to produce good music again.
She could definitely write some songs about her experience being locked up. Jail songs always make for some good country lyrics.

A public memorial service for Jennifer Hudson’s family
A public memorial service will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. today (Nov. 2) in Chicago for Jennifer Hudson’s three relatives who were killed last week.
The public can attend and mourn the deaths of Jennifer’s mother, brother and nephew who were gunned down.
Jennifer’s brother-in-law in police custody, but no charges have been filed.
It’s bad enough to lose one relative in homicide, but losing three is unbearable. My thoughts go out to her and the other members of the Hudson family.

Simon Cowell and his girlfriend Terri Seymour broke up
The cruel American Idol judge Simon Cowell and his beautiful love interest Terri Seymour have broken up.
According to People magazine, after six of years together, Seymour broke it off with Simon via the telephone.
A spokesperson for Simon said “In the past Terri has said that she wants kids but that just isn’t Simon.”
Although I don’ t wish break-ups on any couple, I do understand why Terri wanted break up with him. She is 34 years old and her biological clock is ticking and she wants kids.
On the other hand, Simon is 48 years old and he’s not looking forward to raising any little kids at his age.
Hopefully, she can find someone who is equally interested in having kids, and hopefully Simon can find someone who is equally as mean as he is.
It’s hard for me to feel sorry for Simon getting his heart broken. After all, he does make $36 million a year for being an “American Idol” judge.

Amy Winehouse’s drug dealers pleaded guilty
Amy Winehouse’s drug supply has just been cut off. The couple who sold her drugs pleaded guilty to drug charges this week.
John Blagrove and Cara Burton confessed to giving Amy cocaine and ecstasy. They are also responsible for selling a video tape to the tabloids that showed Amy doing drugs.
Now that Amy’s druggie boyfriend Blake is still behind bars and her two drug dealers will be there soon, maybe she will be able to put her life back together again now that the bad seeds are no longer involved.
We can only hope so. Amy has enormous musical talent, and it’s a shame to let it go to waste.
