Singer El DeBarge sentenced to prison
Singer El DeBarge is expected to spend two years behind bars after he was arrested in connection with a recent drug bust.
According to TMZ, He will serve his time in the California State Prison after police said they found crack cocaine on him, which was a violation of his probation from a drug case last year.
El DeBarge was a member of the 1980s group DeBarge. Their hit songs included “Rhythm of the Night,” “I Like It” and “Who’s Holding Donna Now.”

EL IS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL MAN INSIDE AND OUT, BUT FOR ALL HIS BEAUTY AND TALENTS IT WAS NOT ENOUGH TO SAVE HIM FROM THE HELLISH LIFE OF DRUGS AND PRISON. I HOPE THAT EL HAS THE GOD GIVEN STRENGTH AND DETERMINATION TO BRING THE POSITIVE JOY OF LIVING WITHOUT DRUGS, AND PROBLEMS IN HIS LIFE. EL MUST REALIZE THAT JUST BECAUSE HE GREW UP IN A DISFUNCTIONAL FAMILY DOES NOT MEN HE HAS TO DWELL ON IT. MANY PEOPLE HAVE CAME FROM FAMILIES THAT LIVES WERE FAR WORST THAN EL BUT THEY WERE ABLED TO MOVE BEYOND THEIR ADVERSITIES. EL MUST LEARN TO LIVE AND ENJOY LIFE FOR WHAT IT IS. IT IS A PITY THAT SO MUCH OF HIS PRECIOUS LIFE HAVE BEEN WASTED BY BEING FOOLISH,BUT IT IS NEVER TOO LATE. SOMETIMES A PERSON LIKE EL HAVE TO GET AWAY FROM HIS FRIENDS AND ENVIRONMENT BECAUSE MANY OF THESE SO CALLED FRIENDS AND FAMILY MEMBERS ARE JEALOUS , ENVIOUS AND DELIGHTS IN HIS FAILURE. IF HE HAD REAL FRIENDS HE WOULD NOT HAD WENT DOWN LIKE HE DID, THEY WOULD HAD PROTECTED HIM. EL JUST DO YOUR THING AND COME BACK WITH SOMETHING THAT IS TIMELESS AND SUPER EXTORDINARY. El you are more than you music and good looks, you are a young man, yes at 47 you are still a young man with a lot of living to do!!! Yes you have been hurt, and you have hurt others, God has already forgive you, you must forgive yourself, YOU MUST FOR GIVE YOURSELF, stay away from that churchy environment that want you, and give you a front row seat because you are the “great El Debarge” the are just as bad as the drug man that gives you a free rock until your cash comes in OK. El I don’t know your business, did you finish high school, I know you may not have had a chance to do that, my husband made many mistakes, in and out of the music industry, for years, drugs, drink, didn’t finish school because he didn’t have the time when he was a teenager trying to make it in the business, he was broken, wasted, went back originally just to get his GED, then community college, big college, he is now an english teacher, El what I am trying to say is don’t tell nobody, because you know what you will get, vanish, get lost in yourself, awaken, you are probably a genius, use it to help yourself, then others, through education, you have time, put yourself around other sober thinkers, thinkers tend not to judge, you deserve a another chance just like the rest of us.

Sorry to hear about the bad luck that El is having. I’m a fan of the Debarge family grow up listening to their music. I will pray for the Debarge family and El. I want to see him out and on the stage where he belongs. Doing what God put him on this earth to do bless the world with that amazing voice. It really hurts me to see his mug shot on the television, Just stay hopeful and have faith in the almighty Jesus christ himself and everything will fall in place.
