Halle Berry’s ex-husband denies having a sexual addiction
For those who might not remember, actress Halle Berry married R&B singer Eric Benet back in 2001, and they broke up six months later.
Eric Benet confessed to cheating on her, and he said that he had a sexual addiction, and he sought treatment for this alleged sexual addiction.
Now, Benet is changing his story, and he claims he never was a sex addict. In the latest issue of Sister 2 Sister magazine, an interviewer asked Benet to comment on his sexual addiction, and he said never had a sexual addiction in the first place.
He said the only reason he went to sex addiction counseling was to try to save his marriage with Halle. Basically, Halle wouldn’t stay with him any longer unless he went to counseling, even though he never was an addict. So he went, and of course Halle broke up with him anyway, and he was labeled a sex addict.
Let me say this first, although I don’t support infidelity, I do support the fact that Eric Benet admitted to cheating, and he’s not making excuses for it now.
Too many times, when celebrities make mistakes, they blame it on a condition such as “sexual addiction” like David Duchovny did a few weeks ago.
But Eric Benet, on the other hand, is saying that he just flat out cheated on Halle Berry. He’s not hiding behind the “sexual addiction” excuse.
Instead of going to sexual addiction counseling, I think Benet should have went to a counselor who specializes in mental craziness. If you are married to the most beautiful woman in the world (such as Halle Berry), you have got to be mentally crazy to cheat on someone like her.
Benet has since bounced back from Halle, and his new girlfriend is singer Prince’s ex-wife Manuela Testolini. She looks just as good as Halle too. Take a look at the pic below.

BET Hip Hop Award nominations announced
The BET Hip Hop Award nominations were announced this week, and it looks like Lil Wayne will be the big winner when the show airs on Oct. 23.
Lil Wayne received 12 nominations, mostly from his album “Tha Carter III” and his song “Lollipop.”
He’s been dominating the charts and most of the award shows all year long, so there’s no reason to believe that he won’t dominate the BET Hip Hop Award show either.
Kanye West received seven nominations, and hope and pray that he wins at least one award because otherwise he will throw another temper tantrum if he doesn’t.

Rapper Nate Dogg suffered a second stroke
Rapper Nate Dogg, whose real name is Nathanial has suffered from a second stroke, and he is listed in serious condition.
His first stroke occurred nine months ago and he is listed in serious condition. After the first, he was partially paralyzed on the left side of his body.
The sad part is that he’s only 39 years old, and he’s suffered two strokes at such a young age.
I hope he makes full recovery and is able to return to to the music world.

Actress Megan Fox was in love with a stripper
I’m willing to bet the song by T-Pain titled “I’m in Love With a Stripper” is probably actress Megan Fox favorite song.
In and interview with GQ magazine, the “Transformers” star revealed that she used to be in love with a stripper four years ago.
Fox said she hooked up with the stripper named Nikita right after her boyfriend broke up with her.
However, the most striking thing is that Megan said was that despite her relationship with another woman, she doesn’t consider herself to be a lesbian….
Yeah right, that’s like saying Rosie O’Donnel and Ellen Degeneres are not lesbians.
Megan is currently engaged to former Beverly Hills 90210 actor Brian Austin Green.
Be careful Brian. I don’t think you know what you’re getting yourself into. On the other hand, it might be kinda cool. Especially if they decide to bring the stripper Nikita into their relationship (wink wink).

MTV Total Request Live is coming to an end
MTV’s Total Request Live is coming to an end after 10 years. Also known as TRL, the show’s finale will air sometime in November.
The show first premiered in 1998, every high school and college-age kid in the country tuned in to watch Carson interview musicians and watch the top 10 most requested videos in the nation.
Carson Daly was the original host of the show, and every entertainer knew that if they wanted to have a successful album or movie, then they had to make a stop by TRL to interact with the thousands of screaming fans.
When Carson left the show five years later, the show lost its steam, and it kind of went downhill from there.
Carson ended up hosting a late night talk show on NBC, but he never had the success that he did on TRL.

Michael Jackson will be living near elementary school
According to the the Las Vegas Review Journal, singer Michael Jackson will be living down the street from an elementary school in Las Vegas.
According to the publication, some of the parents are a upset the Michael will be living there near the school.
I assume they’re having flashbacks of Michael’s trial for which he was accused of molesting a child.
I know Michael was found not guilty in the court of law. However, I don’t blame the parents for being a little uneasy. I wouldn’t want necessarily want him near my kids either.
Maybe they’re afraid that he will turn his property into a second Neverland Ranch, and he will want to lure their kids to his home to have a sleep over?

2. When will Kanye West finally enroll in an anger management program?
3. Is the only reason Usher and his wife are having another baby is because all of the gossip magazines keep speculating that they’re marriage is in trouble?
4. How many more children will Angelina Jolie adopt? You know she’s not done yet.
5. Am I the only one who is surprised that the New Kids on the Block reunion album is doing well on the charts?
6. Michael Jackson recently turned 50 years old. Is his career over or will he ever have a good comeback?
7. What in the world does Janet Jackson see in Jermaine Dupri?
8. Will Jennifer Aniston ever keep a man?
9. Why do pop stars all of a sudden try to make country albums? Kelly Clarkson, Jessica Simpson and Jewel are all making country albums.
10. How does someone such as John Mayer keep getting beautiful women? Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Aniston just to name a couple.

Britney Spears new album
Britney Spears’ new album “Circus” will be out Dec. 2, which happens to coincide with her birthday.
I think this comeback album will be a great birthday present for Britney. I know I have been a little harsh on Britney during the past year during her battle with Kevin Federline, her tumultous MTV performance last year, her shaving her head, missing court dates etc etc.
However, I really do wish Britney the best, and I hope her album does really well on the charts.
She looked great earlier this month at the MTV Video Music Awards, and she seemed to be in a “normal” state of mind.
After the bad year that she has been having, she deserves to be able to bounce back and reclaim her title as the queen of pop.
Reba McEntire’s greatest hits
Reba McEntire is releasing a greatest hits album next month. The album titled “50 Greatest Hits” will be in stores Oct. 28.
Let me say this first. I am very proud of Reba. I think she represents Oklahoma well. I’m always happy to see a fellow Oklahoman succeed.
However, this is Reba’s fourth greatest hits album since her debut back in 1977. So she’s averaging one greatest hits album every seven or eight years.
I’ve noticed this is starting to become a trend with musicians. Mariah Carey has released two greatest hits album during her a career of nearly two decades, and Mariah is still going strong.
I think artists should only release one greatest hits album during their career. Also, the greatest hits albums should only be released at the very end of an musician’s career.
Since it’s obvious Reba still has a long career ahead of her, I don’t really see a need for another greatest hits album.
Having said that, since she’s going to release it anyway, more power to her.

Forbes magazine released its list of the 10 most overpaid actors and actress in Hollywood.

Nicole is only famous now because she divorced Tom Cruise and married Keith Urban, a country star and former alcoholic who just got out of rehab.
I’m also not surprised that Jennifer Lopez is on this list. She hasn’t had a hit movie since she portrayed Selena in a movie during the 1990s.
To her credit though, Jennifer is a trailblazer. She helped paved the way for many Latina entertainers.

Jennifer Hudson is enaged to a reality TV star
American Idol star and Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson is engaged and you’ll never guess who her fiance is. She’s engaged to a guy who went by the name Punk, on the reality show “I Love New York” on the VH1 channel.
Jennifer’s representative confirmed the engagement to People magazine. Punk’s real name is David Otunga. He came in third place on the VH1 reality show.
Jennifer Hudson won her Oscar last years for the musical “Dreamgirls.”
Several months ago, I heard that they were dating, but I always thought it was a false rumor. I guess I was wrong. There are still some unanswered questions that I would like to know. Where did they meet? How long have they been dating? etc. etc.

Michael Phelps on Saturday Night Live
Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps hosted “Saturday Night Live” during the weekend. He was featured in various comedy skits, and I just have one thing to say—Michael needs to stick to swimming.
The skits weren’t very funny whatsoever, but I don’t know if Phelps is to blame or should we blame the writers. During some of the scenes it sounded like he was reading off of a teleprompter word for word, which he probably was.
On the other hand, it probably was good for NBC to put Phelps on the show despite his lackluster acting skills. Phelps is popular sports figures in the country especially after the Olympics, and I’m a lot of people watched the show that night which translates into big ratings.
The highlight of the show was the performances of the current king of rap Lil Wayne. He performed his hits “Lollipop” and “Get Money.”
Another notable moment was the opening of the show when Tina Fey and Amy Poehler portrayed Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton during a press conference. Tina Fey’s portrayal of Sarah Palin was right on.
Barack Obama was supposed to make an appearance on the show, but he canceled because of Hurricane Ike.
Michael Phelps’ mother and William Shatner made a brief appearance on the show. I guess if Obama can’t make it on the show, the next best thing is to have Phelps’ mother and William Shatner….not really

Two “I Love New York” contestants get their own show
The “Flavor of Love” franchise continues. Two contestants from the “I Love New York” reality show will have their own opportunity to find true love in front of the cameras.
Chance and Real from “I Love New York” will star in “Real Chance of Love” beginning Nov. 3 on VH1.
This time, the two brothers will try to find the perfect women for them to settle down with. Chance and Real will have 15 girls to choose from, and each of the girls will be eliminated one by one until the two girls are chosen.
I watched Chance and Real on the “I Love New York” episodes, and they were very dramatic and entertaining, so I will assume that this show will be equally amusing.
I wonder what will be the next series in the “Flavor of Love” family tree? — “Real Chance of Love” is a spinoff of “I Love New York,” and “I Love New York” was a spinoff of “Flavor of Love,” and “Flavor of Love.”
If you want me to go further than that, here you go– “Flavor of Love” was a spinoff of “Strange Love” and “Strange Love” was a spinoff of “Surreal Life.” So I guess everything actually started with “Surreal Life.”

Christina Aguilera did not sing live at the MTV Awards
Christina Augilera did a great job during her performance at the recent MTV Video Music Awards.
She performed “Genie in a Bottle” and her new song “Keeps Getting Better.” However, did anyone else notice that she did a lip sych of the entire performance?
I was surprised because Christina is one of the few young singers out there who actually has a powerful voice. Why would she feel the need to lip synch? Did she have a throat illness?
Everyone makes fun of Britney Spears for not singing live during last year’s show, but nobody has said anything about Christina…. Is that a double standard?

Kanye West released from jail
Kanye West has been released from jail following his scuffle at an airport where he was caught on tape smashing a photographer’s video camera. (see my previous blog for more details).
Kanye West has always had an anger management problem, but only when it comes to him losing at award shows. When he loses an award, he’s known for throwing temper tantrums.

Paris Hilton gets new TV shows
For those of you who are sick and tired of seeing Paris Hilton, you nightmares have just gotten a little worse.
Paris Hilton will star in two new television series.
On her MTV show “My New BFF” that began airing this week, contestants compete to become Paris’ brand new best friend… Sounds like fun right?
Now, American Idol host Ryan Seacrest has announced that he is developing a scripted TV series just for Paris.
Ryan is also responsible for giving us the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” reality show on the E! Channel.
(sigh) Haven’t we suffered enough? I wish Ryan would leave those socialites alone and just focus on hosting American Idol.

Michael Phelps hosting “Saturday Night Live”
Since he won eight gold medals at the Olympics in Beijing, Michael Phelps has been living the life. He’s been attending multiple red carpet events and award shows, and he’s even been living it up on the Las Vegas party scene.
Now, he will be hosting Saturday Night Live tomorrow night. I’m always interested when a non-entertainer tries to host Saturday Night Live.
I remember watching Al Gore, Rudy Giuliani, LeBron James and NBC News host Brian Williams when they did the SNL gig.
While those episodes weren’t very amusing, I get the feeling that Michael Phelps will be very humorous on the show.
Also, Barack Obama is scheduled to make a guest appearance in one of the sketches. Should be interesting.

Mariah Carey’s ex-boyfriend is writing a tell-all book
Mariah Carey’s ex-boyfriend record producer Damion “Damizza” Young is writing a tell-all about book where he will discuss personal details of his four-year romantic relationship with Mariah, according to the New York Post.
He said while they were together, they kept their relationship a secret from the media.
I can’t wait to read this book because Mariah has always been so secretive about her love life, and I want to know the juicy details.

Kanye West arrested
TMZ is reporting that rapper Kanye West and his assistant have been arrested at the LAX airport in Los Angeles for vandalism.
Apparently a member paparazzi was trying to take his picture at the airport, and Kanye then became upset and crushed his camera on the ground.
A TMZ photographer who was at the scene began videotaping the incident, when Kanye’s assistant came up and threw the TMZ video camera on the ground as well.
No one should be surprised by this at all. Kanye has always had anger management issues.
Whenever he attends an award show and he doesn’t win anything, he always throws a temper tantrum on the stage and on the red carpet. Apparently, he has added airports to that list as well.

Young Jeezy has the number one album this week on the Billboard charts for his latest CD “The Recession.”
I think Jeezy can take credit for Michael Phelps winning eight gold medals during the recent Olympics in Beijing. Phelps revealed during the Olympics that he listened to Young Jeezy’s music right before a competition.
Most surprising to me this week is that New Kids on the Block came in number two with their reunion album.
I figured their older fans would not rush out and buy their new CD because they’re too mature for that now…. who knew?

Kirsten Dunst loves herself
In the latest issue of Harper’s Bazaar, actress Kirsten Dunst talks about her stint in rehab to recover from depression.
In the article she says that Tom Cruise gave her a framed copy of Ron Hubbard’s Scientology Code of Honor to help her cope with her depression. (I’m not surprised by Tom’s actions at all)
Dunst said she is doing great now, and she is quoted in the article as saying “I’m happy single or not single. I love me, so I’m okay.”
Me and Kirsten have one thing in common…. I love myself too.

Usher is having another baby
Usher and his wife Tameka Foster will be having another child.
This will be the second child for the couple since the birth of their first son Usher Raymond V back in November.
Usher and his wife have been the main characters in the gossip magazines because it’s been speculated that their marriage was in trouble in they were headed for divorce.
I have to give this couple credit because I think its a great idea to have another child for the sole purpose of squashing the rumors about the state of your marriage.

Beyonce has a new album coming out
Beyonce is coming out with a new album Nov. 18.
She’s been away from the music scene for a little bit, and I’m glad shes back because since she’s been gone Rihanna has taken over the music airwaves.
And I’m ready to see the real Queen Bee take over the music scene again and send Rihanna back into obscurity.
