Jeffrey Ross and Ted McGinley eliminated from Dancing with the Stars
Comedian Jeffrey Ross and “Married With Children” actor Ted McGinley were the first two casualties on “Dancing With the Stars” this season.
After showing off his lackluster moves, Ross was eliminated from the show this week. Not a big shocker because the judges gave him a score of 16. His performance was beyond terrible.
With his lack of coordination, I’m surprised he is able to even walk straight.
McGinley, on the other hand, wasn’t the best dancer on the show, but he did so much better than Ross. McGinley received a score of 19 from the judges.

Hulk Hogan’s son will be released from jail early
Drivers beware. Hulk Hogan’s son Nick Bollea will be free next month.
Bollea will be out of jail on Oct. 21 — three months early due to good behavior.
He has been serving an eight-month sentence for reckless driving following a car accident that left his best friend in a hospital in critical condition.
His friend still hasn’t recovered from the accident, and Bollea released a statement apologizing for the pain he caused the family.
Bollea became famous for being the reality show “Hogan Knows Best.”

Just last month another “I Love New York” star named Punk became to Oscar winning actress Jennifer Hudson.

Metallica once again proved they are a force to be reckoned with. For the second week the heavy legends landed at number one on the charts.
The biggest surprise is that Hootie and the Blowfish lead singer Darius Rucker debuted at number 5 with his country album “Learn to Live.”
The album did even better on the country charts because it hit number one. Darius’ song “Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It” was number one one the country singles chart as well.
It seems like all of the wannabe country musicians are going number one. Last week, pop star Jessica Simpson’s new country album hit number one on the country charts as well.

Clay Aiken admits that he is gay
In the latest issue of People magazine, which will be on newsstands Wednesday, singer Clay Aiken finally confirms that he is gay. (applause)
Clay is quoted as saying “Yes, I’m Gay. It was the first decision I made as a father. I cannot raise a child to lie or hide things.”
Clay was referring to the child that he had with music producer Jaymes Foster via artificial insemination.
His admission about his sexuality probably won’t come as a surprise to anyone because basically everyone already knew. So, I guess it’s not really newsworthy if everyone knew from day one.
However, I’m glad that he can be able to breath a sigh of relief, and he doesn’t have to lie or hide anything anymore. I applaud him for trying to set a good example for his child.
The question still remains, how will this affect his career? Well, lets be honest here. He hasn’t had much of a career since he released his debut album five years ago.
I predict this will enhance his career because of the publicity that will follow. He is on the cover of People magazine this week. They’ve never put him on the cover before, and they never would have put him on the cover if he never came out of the closet.

Rapper DMX was hospitalized
Rapper DMX was hospitalized for an unknown reason, according to his lawyer Bradford Cohen.
Some people were speculating that he thought he was having a stroke, however, the lawyer wouldn’t confirm that.
The lawyer said “It was serious enough for him to be brought and taken into a treatment facility.
What’s ironic is that he just happened to mysteriously enter the hospital one day before he was scheduled to make a court appearance to face drug and animal cruelty allegations.
I’m not suggesting that he is faking an illness. I’m just saying it looks suspicious that he gets sick one day before his court appearance.
I don’t know. Maybe he’s scared of going to jail so he started hyperventilating and went to the hospital instead.

Meg Ryan said Dennis Quaid cheated on her
In the October issue of In Style magazine, actress Meg Ryan talks about went on during her marriage with ex-husband Dennis Quaid.
Meg told the magazine, “Dennis was not faithful to me for a very long time, and that was very painful. I found out more about that after the divorce.”
Meg shouldn’t have waited to tell her story. She should have said this sooner.
Remember while Meg and Dennis were going through their marital woes and she started dating Russel Crow?
Everyone in the media and the public accused Meg of cheating and destroying her marriage.
But we now know that it was Dennis who cheated first. Meg needs to stand up for herself more often.
I wish she would have revealed who he cheated with. Was it her friend? an employee? a groupie? etc.

Sharon Stone loses custody of her son
Actress Sharon Stone no longer has physical custody of her 8-year-old son.
A judge ruled that her son will remain in San Francisco with her ex-husband Phil Bronstein unless Sharon agrees to move to San Francisco too.
Basically, if she doesn’t move there, so won’t her physical custody rights returned to her. The judge said the ex-husband can provide a more stable and secure environment for the little boy.
This is a shocker because usually a judge gives the mother custody unless the mother is unfit. However, the judge never said that she was an unfit mother.
The couple divorced in 2004.

The new 90210 series is a hit
When I first found out they were going to create a new Beverly Hills 90210 show, I just new it would be a ratings disaster. I figured no one would watch the new cast because its hard to step into the shoes of the originally cast members.
However, I guess I was wrong.
When the new 90210 debuted on the CW network, it garnered 4.9 million viewers, making it the highest-rated debut in the networks history.
As a result, the network has decided to pick up the show for a full season. I think the high ratings can partly be attributed to some of the old cast members who have returned during this season, such as Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth.
Another notable cast member is Lori Loughlin, better known as Aunt Becky on “Full House.”
If 4.9 million people like the show, then maybe I should give it a chance and start watching it too.
One thing that has impressed me is unlike the original Beverly Hills 90210 series, this new show actually has some color in it. They cast one black actor (Tristan Wilds) on the show.
Although they should have added a little more diversity, it’s still a huge improvement over the original cast.

Janet Jackson leaves record label
It’s the end of the road for Janet Jackson’s union with her record label.
It was announced today that Janet (Miss Jackson if ya nasty) has parted ways with Def Jam records.
During the past few months, Janet has accused her record label of not properly promoting her latest album “Discipline” along with her current tour.
Now that Janet is a free agent, hopefully another record company will come along and help her create a hit album.
Let’s be honest, janet hasn’t had a hit album in more than 10 years. It’s time for her to regain her crown.

Jamie Lynn Spears’ breastfeeding pictures stolen
Some more embarrassing news for the Spears family. Pictures of Britney’s sister Jamie Lynn Spears breastfeeding her new baby.
The pictures were taken on a digital camera by her boyfriend Casey Aldridge. According to TMZ, authorities believe the pictures were stolen by an employee at Wal-Mart where Casey dropped his camera off.
Jamie Lynn is under the age of 18, so anyone who sells them or buys them could be charged with child pornography.
With the exception of Miley Cyrus, I have a policy of not criticizing celebrities under the age of 18. Therefore, I won’t say anything about Jamie Lynn.
However, her boyfriend is a legal adult, so I will criticize him. He took a topless picture of his girlfriend using a digital camera. Why did he feel the need to take that photo to get developed knowing that Jamie Lynn is a recognizable celebrity?
Since it’s a digital camera, he should have just uploaded the pictures on his home computer computer and just kept it there for his own viewing pleasure.

The following is a list of six celebrity-related questions that have been on my mind this week. (Sept. 22)
1. George Michael was arrested in a public restroom for the second time. Why doesn’t he learn to avoid public restrooms altogether?
2. After the jet crashed that DJ AM and Travis Barker were in, do you think celebrities will start considering flying commercial?
3. Is the only reason why Britney Spears won the most MTV Video Music awards this year because the producers felt sorry for what they did to her last year? (when they made her open the show, knowing good and well it was going to be a disaster because she wasn’t mentally or physically prepared)
4. If American Idol is such a career booster, then whey did four contestants who placed in the top two lose their record deals? (Ruben Studdard, Taylor Hicks, Blake Lewis and Katherine McPhee all lost their record deals in 2008)
5. Why did Mariah Carey suddenly stop doing interviews after she married Nick Cannon? She doesn’t even promote her latest album anymore.
6. What were the Caesars Palace people thinking when they chose Bette Midler to replace Celine Dion as the Las Vegas hotel’s daily headlining act?

George Michael arrested in a restroom
For whatever reason, George Michael can’t seem to stay out of trouble in the restroom.
The singer was arrested in a public restroom in London during the weekend for possession of drugs after police said they found marijuana and crack cocaine.
George has always had trouble when it came to public restrooms. Back in 1998, he was arrested for trying to solicit sex to an undercover officer in a restroom.
If I were George, I would start using my own restroom at home from now on.

Rocker Travis Barker and DJ AM injured in plane crash
Former Blink 182 band member Travis Barker and Nicole Ritchie’s ex-fiance DJ AM along with four other people were involved in a plane crash in South Carolina.
The airplane crashed right after take-off. Travis Barker and DJ AM were both listed in critical condition. The remaining four passengers died. They were the two pilots, a security guard and Barker’s personal assistant.
Very sad news. Hopefully Barker and DJ AM can pull through this one.
Lil Wayne postpones concert for emergency surgery
My colleague at The Oklahoman Brandy McDonnell reported that Lil Wayne has postponed his Tulsa concert at the BOK Center.

The rapper was scheduled to perform tonight at the BOK Center, but backed out of the concert claiming that he had to undergo emergency dental surgery. The new date will be Oct. 11.
This doesn’t surprise me at all. As you can see from the photo above, Lil Wayne is notorious for blinging up his teeth.
He’s had so much work done on his teeth. They change shapes, colors and sizes at least once a week. No wonder he is having problems with them.

Jessica Simpson passes gas under the sheets
Jessica Simpson gave an interview with People magazine this week, and she talks about how much she is in love with Tony Romo blah blah blah.
But she then says something interesting. She said “To be my man, you have to put up with alot. I toot under the sheets, I spend a lot of money and I can belch the ABC’s.”
Tooting under the sheets? Jessica, have you ever heard of the phrase Too Much Information?

Metallica, Jessica Simpson and LL Cool J are all new faces on the Billboard album charts this week. (week of Sept. 17)
Metallica’s “Death Magnetic” album debuted at number one with 490,000 copies sold.
Jessica Simpson landed in fourth place with her first country album selling 65,000 copies. Jessica’s album is number one on the Billboard Country charts. I guess that puts to rest the speculation that country fans would not accept her music.
LL Cool J new album “Exit 13″ is at Number 9 with 44,000 copies sold. This is LL Cool J’s 13th album, and it will be his last album under the Def Jam record label, and then he is exiting the label (hence the name Exit 13)

Gary Coleman faces misdemeanor charges
Former Diff’rent Strokes star Gary “what choo talkin bout Willis” Coleman was recently charged with misdemeanor disordly conduct and reckless driving during an incident that took place at a Utah bowling alley.
According to the alleged victim, he noticed Coleman at the bowling and tried to take a picture of him. One of Coleman’s entourage members told him he could only take a picture, if he paid Coleman $20.
The alleged victim refused to pay of course, but he later tried to snap a photo anyway. He claims Coleman and someone in his entourage became upset and they both attacked him. Then he said Coleman hit him with his truck.
Wow! Gary Coleman is tougher than I thought. He packs a powerful punch. If I was the victim, I think I would keep quiet on this one. I would never admit to the public that a 3- foot-tall Gary Coleman beat me up.

Ryan O’Neal and son arrested
Like father, like son. Actor Ryan O’Neal and his 23-year-old son Redmond have been arrested for drug possession.
Law enforcement officials said they were conducting a routine search of the home to see if Redmond was obeying his probation terms, and that’s when they found what appeared to be methamphetamines on the property. So, they arrested both of them.
Redmond was on probation for a prior drug offense. Ironically, Ryan O’Neal’s daughter Tatum O’Neil was arrested for a drug crime back in July.
He’s keeping it all in the family.

Faith Hill releases new Christmas album (in September)
Country singer Faith Hill released a new Christmas album this week titled “Joy to the World.”
I’m not against Christmas albums, but I just find it a little odd that she is releasing a Christmas album while we are currently in the month of September.
Does she expect anyone to actually go out and buy her Christmas album in September while the weather is still so hot outside in most parts of the country?
Most people don’t even start thinking about Christmas until November. Next thing you know, she will release a 4th of July album in January.

Barbra Streisand holds a fundraiser for Barack Obama
Barbra Streisand held a fundraiser for Barak Obama this week, and the event brought in $9 million for Obama’s presidential campaign.
Several celebrities attended the event and mingled with Obama, including Will Ferrell, Chris Rock, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jodie Foster, Jamie Lee Curtis and Steven Spielberg among others
Barbra Streisand has always been active in raising political awareness, but I have some advice for celebrities….. If you want to see a Democrat in the White House, then you need to keep a low profile and stop publicly rallying around a particular candidate.
Celebrities rallied around Al Gore, and that didn’t help him any. They rallied around John Kerry, and that didn’t help him any. Now, they are rallying around Barack Obama, and it might not help him either.
If they want to see a Democrat win the presidency again, they need to stop publicly supporting him because the public tends to vote the exact opposite from what the celebrities want them to do.

Hootie and the Blowfish singer releases a country album
Hootie and the Blowfish lead singer Darius Rucker is the latest in a list of celebrities who are trying to be “wannabe country singers.”
His new country album titled “Learn to Live” was released this week.
On his album, he collaborated with Brad Paisley, Vince Gill and Alison Krauss. That’s a smart move if he want to gain country credibility.
Only time will tell whether country music fans will accept the rock singer into their community. They can sometimes be weary of outsiders who try to pretend like they’re country.
Jessica Simpson and Jewell are also releasing country albums, and even Kelly Clarkson is expected to make one.
