Last week, I visited Spring Creek, a cool blue stream that’s about 50 miles east of Tulsa. It’s one of only five water bodies in the state known to meet all of its water quality standards, according to a draft report by the state Department of Environmental Quality.

Many waters aren’t tested, and regulators are calling for more money for testing activities.
