I had my second apple, cheese & raisin jaffle today. I had the first one for lunch Tuesday and they weren't going to have any of the salads ready until later that day - the jaffle was warm, toasty and delicious! It was so good I had another one today with the Indonesian rice salad - Wow! I am not a vegetarian but do really enjoy eating things that are both healthy and delicious! That is unexpected at a festival or fair. After reading all Dave's raves about the Tequila bread pudding even before I saw where it was the grand prize winner, I got one and took it back to my office for later. Even without the ice cream, it was a winner and I don't normally go for bread pudding.

I tried the hummus jaffle today, and I am in love. Asked them to give me half Indonesian rice salad and half tabouli and they were very accommodating. Both were super tasty. Seriously considering moving to Australia right now, but will probably just get a sandwich maker, since it's undoubtedly cheaper. Since I had to come back and write today, I skipped the heavier desserts and went with just Italian ice, which was very refreshing. But I'll have to put the fried peaches on my to-try list for the weekend. I love the festival!
