Johnnie’s is by far, the best OKC has or will have!! The Split-T was a tradition and Johnnie’s was passed the torch. I don’t think I’m alone when I say, “they’ve carried it well”. There will NEVER be another Johnnie’s and I’ll be the first to say, “I hope not”.

Johnnie’s is #1 on my list. Favorite burger? Caesar, love the rings.. Reflux struck rings are now a sweet memory.. Fries are superior to all. Desserts~~ the choice of pies or Gelato leaves the field wide open.. Chicken fried salad is delicious too. Dining possibilities are endless. Bon appetit!

As an Okie living in Baja Oklahoma (also known as Dallas), I miss the #9 Theta w/ Cheese. I also miss Jimmy’s Egg and Coit’s Rootbeer.

My idea restaurant would be Jimmy’s Breakfast Menu, Jonnies Lunch and Dinner Menu with Coit’s Rootbeer on the fountain.

Dallas is going bonkers to get an ‘In and Out’ burger but I say ‘meh’!

Jerry Pierce, as I live and breathe. Wow. The only thing I’m dishing these days is up, which doesn’t bode well for running up and down the court.

Thanks for the feedback. If you haven’t tried Bolsa in Oak Cliff, it’s a fantastic place to eat. They have neither a deep fryer or freezer. All ingredients are fresh and local.

OK, everyone is going to think I’m crazy, but as much as I love Johnnie’s hamburgers, I go there most for one of its salads. The mandarin cranberry salad is amazing! I think there’s crack in the dressing; it’s that addictive.
Like I said, I know it’s crazy, but I go to Johnnie’s most for that salad.

One thing Dallas does not have … burgers that rival the Theta at Johnnie’s. I’d love to see a Corner Bakery or Baker Bros. in OKC, but only if Johnnie would ply his craft south in Big D. Dave, can you still dish the b-ball all these years later if you are so busy sampling food? I’m envious, bro.

Johnnie’s is the best burger place in OKC. I have grown up to memories of my grandparents taking me to Johnnie’s to get my bacon cheeseburger and my grandfather getting his Theta. I even got to be the person who took my husband to try his first Johnnie’s burger. Their burgers are great and the onion rings you can’t beat, come on how can you beat hand batterd onion rings. But more importantly its a family tradition to eat there for me.
