Need a makeover? Go to Ulta or Dillard’s this weekend

Michael Marcus of Michael Marcus Cosmetics
If you’re looking for a new makeup look, tips or new products, this is the weekend for it. Two makeup artists who both have their own signature lines will be in Oklahoma City.
First up is Michael Marcus of Michael Marcus Cosmetics. His line is known for its generous color. He will be at Dillard’s, Penn Square Mall, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. He will give a five- to 10-minute personal consultation and recommend colors, products and skin-care regimens, then a makeup artist will offer application tips. A $50 reservation fee is redeemable in products. Call 840-8495 for an appointment.
Australian Napoleon Perdis, who moved his cosmetics company to Los Angeles a couple of years ago, will make a personal appearance from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 11 at Ulta, 2340 W Memorial Road. His team of artists will be treating guests to complimentary makeovers. Call 302-4900 to book an appointment. Dare to go bare
Leslie Blodgett shows off bareMinerals.
If you already love bareMinerals, here’s your chance to learn more. If you’ve been wanting to try the foundation, shadow or blush made from crushed minerals, there’s no better time than right now.
The Bare Escentuals fan bus and national makeup artists will be rolling into Ulta locations in Norman, Oklahoma City and Tulsa June 19-22.
Bare Escentuals started the mineral makeup revolution with the introduction of its 100 percent pure bareMinerals. The company’s slogan is “makeup so pure you can sleep in it.”
Chief Executive Officer Leslie Blodgett — the one you see on QVC and television infomercials — won’t be with the tour in Oklahoma, but don’t let that stop you from getting to the bus stop.
The artists will be dishing advice and techniques while you get a “make-under,” and there may be some product giveaways. The bus is making stops across the United States.
There is no fee, but space is limited. Sign up early for the Try, Believe, Love Tour.
Here are the dates:
June 19: 1 to 7 p.m., 600 Ed Noble Parkway, Norman. 360-2044.
