What was your favorite gift?

One of my favorite gifts this year is the new handbag that my daughter gave me. (Of course, we’ll get the bill for it, but that’s another story.)

It’s a black hobo style with brushed gold detail and a single strap. It’s by Tracy Reese, who always delivers one of my favorite runway shows in New York. She’s known for feminine, flirty clothes, but I haven’t really seen many of her bags.  My daughter Stephanie said she picked it up for about one-fifth the price that was on the retailer’s tag. Such a deal!

She got it at Tuesday Morning.  I’ll pay closer attention to the handbags next time I’m there.

Anyway, what was your favorite gift? Share.

Designer Tracy Reese slips into Keds

tracy.jpgDesigner Tracy Reese will bring her plenty by Tracy Reese contemporary line to Keds in spring 2009.

Reese and Keds will create several styles, including peep-toe wedge sneakers, skimmers and ballet flats.  The shoe silhouettes are inspired by the exotic designs from Reese’s plenty by Tracy Reese Spring 2009 collection, which will shown on the runway in September.

Reese is known for her use of interesting prints, embellishments and colors, and the shoes are expected to be a nice complement to Keds’ classic style. Reese’s collection is expected to offer customers a new take on their favorite Keds styles.

“Keds has a unique feminine aesthetic coupled with fun whimsical designs,” says Reese. “I am thrilled to collaborate with such an iconic brand and excited about fusing the plenty by

Tracy Reese eclectic and wordly designs with casual footwear.”

plenty by Tracy Reese for Keds will be sold at www.keds.com, Tracy Reese boutiques and select department and specialty stores. The collection, which will arrive in stores in February, will retail for $65 to $80.
