L’Oreal Lash Boosting Serum

L'Oreal Lash Boosting Serum
I’m a big fan of lash enhancers. I’ve used Revitalash and Neulash. Both worked really well. Longer, thicker, fuller lashes in less than four weeks. Both are expensive, too. You can expect to hand over $150 for a tube.
I figured it would be just a matter of time before one of the big cosmetics giants jumped into the lash fringe, and it happened. L’Oreal has introduced Lash Boosting Serum, which claims to boost natural lash health by fortifying, nourishing and strengthening lashes.
I think I paid about $13 for a tube.
You can apply the L’Oreal serum at night to bare lashes or during the day under your mascara. For best results, L’Oreal says to use it twice a day — at night and before applying your mascara.
Nowhere does it say that the serum will make lashes fuller, longer or thicker. But I’m going to give it a try. You can also buy a lash boost system that includes the serum and L’Oreal’s Double-Extend Lash Boosting Mascara for about $21 or just a bit more. I opted for just the serum because I prefer L’Oreal Voluminous mascara.
I’ll let you know what I think. If you’re already using the L’Oreal serum or the serum and lash boosting mascara, let me know what kind of results you’re seeing.
Dior Addict Ultra-Gloss … new formula coming
I know it’s a bit early to be telling you about a product that won’t be at cosmetics counters until April, but my mind’s already on spring. And I’m a lip gloss junkie. I have so many tubes I could open my own lip gloss store.
Anyway, get ready for new flash-plumping and super shine from Dior’s Addict Ultra-Gloss. This gloss already is a must for some, but the new formula will include three color effects — Glow, Pearl and Flash.
Glow is a collection of nude and second-skin shades. Pearl offers brighter shades warmed with iridescent facets while the Flash shades represent the “couture” end of the collection with vivid colors that pop on the lips.
Dior Beauty says the featherweight texture and micro-pearl formula create an instantaneous smoothing effect while crystalline spheres create a plump, light-reflecting shine. What’s more, the new larger brush offers a more precise application.
Cost will be $26.50. Look for it at cosmetics counter in April.
Giorgio Armani upset over time change in show schedule

Designer Giorgio Armani
Drama brews in fashionland.
Giorgio Armani has accused Christian Dior of showing him a lack of respect in a dispute about the times of haute couture runway shows next week in Paris.
Armani apparently is incensed that the timing of an additional Dior show will prevent him from using certain models, according to Fashion Wire Daily.
“I regret to inform you that as a result of a last minute, unexpected and unjustifiable change of program by Dior, about which we were informed less than two weeks before the date of the show, I have been forced to reschedule the timing of my own collection, postponing it from 7.30 PM to 9 PM on the same day, Monday 25th January,” Armani said in an e-mail sent to FWD.
In the official schedule, Dior is scheduled with just one show at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. However, this first show is for the press, while a later unlisted show at 5.30 p.m. is planned for VIPs and paying clients.
A spokesman Dior said “we think it is not elegant to comment.”
No such restrant from Armani.
“I am sorry for the inconvenience that this change may cause you, including the difficulty of publishing an article on the following day. I would like to make it clear that the
alteration, which is occurring in spite of our repeated attempts to arrive at a more satisfactory solution, is an action which I consider to be arbitrary and indicative of a lack of respect for other people’s time and labor. I would like to thank you in advance for your understanding and to say how much I am looking forward to seeing you at the show,” Armani’s e-mail read.
Couture clothing is not for the masses. A single piece can cost as much as a car. Most couture shows are not nighttime events either. The rich and famous prefer to be out and about earlier in the day.
Sarah Jessica Parker’s role at Halston no small part

Sarah Jessica Parker
Actress Sarah Jessica Parker isn’t taking her role at Halston lightly. In fact, she’s taking on more responsibility than was originally thought.
Not only will she voice her opinions as Halston’s chief creative officer, but she’ll be keeping an eye on the bottom line, too. She was named president and given an equity equity stake in the company. “I think this is a brand new kind of business model, and it illustrates how serious I am about this position. I think it’s wonderful to feel invested in something,” she told Women’s Wear Daily.
“I tend not to just endorse something. I like feeling the stakes.”
Plenty of men and women take the route of film to fashion, but not all succeed. “I know I come to the company in a rather unorthodox way but I’m not the first to be president of a company without the traditional background,” Parker said. “Others have been successful in those endeavors and I do so hope I can be as well.”
Parker is clear what she can offer – “good manners, a point of view that is inspiring, that is hopefully smart, and an incredible passion and excitement and enthusiasm, as well as some experience of what I know about women, that having been pretty much the focus of my role in ‘Sex and the City.
