Tall women’s clothes coming to OKC
Tall chicks, this is for you.
A former University of Central Oklahoma student and founder of TallChicksRule.com, an online shopping site tailored to the contemporary clothing needs of women 5’8″ and taller, is bringing a selection of clothes to Oklahoma City for a trunk show.
The show will feature denim and pants either unhemmed or with inseams up to 37 inches; trench coats with longer sleeves; skirts and dresses; contemporary shoes in sizes 8 to 14; and accessories.
Tall Chicks Rule founder Kate O’Neill Rauber is 6’2″ and wears a size 14 shoe. She loves cute clothes and shoes but had a difficult time finding them.
“Cities like Dallas, L.A. and New York have stylish tall clothing stores,” she said. “But for those us in the Midwest, the options are pretty sparse. “Women of all heights and locations want to wear contemporary clothes that fit, so we’re bringing the fashion to them.”
O’Neill Rauber, who played volleyball at UCO, started the Kansas City-based company because she wanted to find fashionable clothes that fit her. “I was tired of putting on pants that looked like capris and frustrated that I couldn’t have the same stylish choices my shorter friends had.”
The Tall Chicks Rule trunk show will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 12 at the Courtyard Marriott Downtown/Bricktown, 2 W Reno in Oklahoma City.
