Hillary Clinton pantsuits … a fashion don’t?

Hillary Clinton and South Africa's Foreign Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane
Hillary Clinton is coming under fire again. This time, it’s for her wardrobe. Specifically, her pantsuits in mango, teal and burgundy — oh my.
The fashion community is weighing in and the concensus is she needs a change. Big time.
“I love color. It’s her right as a human being and an American to wear it,” said Clinton Kelly of TLC’s “What Not to Wear.” ”I can see her in a beautiful gray suit with a saffron colored blouse. But wearing a color like mango head-to-toe only works if you are a mango.”
Here’s a great story from Newsday about the saga of Clinton’s pantsuits and what the fashion pundits say.

are you kidding me? how sexist can you be? why is she being judged on her color choices? it has to stop and this reader wants to see it stop now and with this newspaper….PLEASE!
I don’t believe wanting anyone representing our country to dress professionally has anything to do with being sexist. I would certainly expect any male to pay attention to dress, also. Hillary definitely needs help. I’m sure she has plenty of assistance with staff. Maybe they aren’t brave enough to challenge her choices.
Leave her alone!! If you’re not buying her clothes you shouldn’t care what she wears. She’ clean and she’s neat. We all have our opinions but I think this is insane. Just because you don’t like a person you shouldn’t criticize what they wear. No matter what Hillary does she will be criticized by the haters.
I love Hillary. But she needs a fashion makeover. If a male secretary of state was wearing ill-fitting, stretchy orange from head to toe I’d say the same thing. She is a beautiful woman, smart and a great role model. She doesn’t need to be Carla Bruni, but come on. Add to this her increasing marginalization by Obama, and it makes me want to cry for her. Although she would hate that.
Whether you like or dis-like Hillary has nothing to do with wearing what makes one look their very best, especially a diplomat. Condi Rice always looked very professional and chic. Hill needs a “dresser” and she must not bite off the head of that person if all the pantsuits are put in the garbage can. Money being no object (note the pearls, don’t think they’re from Target!), she could really look 1000% better, and not frumpy, with some help. Has she EVER be photographed wearing anything but pantsuits??

Who dresses her? She represents our nation, for heavens sake. Can’t someone help her?
