Harper’s Bazaar looking for women who are fabulous at every age
Harper’s Bazaar magazine is conducting a nationwide search for fabulous women in their 20s to 60-plus for its Fabulous at Every Age contest.
Fabulous at Every Age is also the name of the magazine’s most popular feature, which includes the best looks of the moment and shows women how to wear them in the flattering, age-appropriate way.
“Coco Chanel said, ‘Nature gives you the face you have at 20; it is up to you to merit the face you have at 50.’ We celebrate women at every age because great style is eternal,” said Glenda Bailey, the magazine’s editor-in-chief.
Bazaar will also publish the book “Fabulous At Every Age: Your Quick and Easy Guide to Fashion” in November.
Readers can nominate themselves or other chic women by completing the online entry here. Entries must include one close-up color photo of the face and one color full-body photo, each taken within the previous 365 days, as well as a testimonial of 50 words or less describing why the person being entered is fabulous for her age. Deadline is Sept. 22.
Visitors to harpersbazaar.com can vote on their favorites. Five finalists, each representing a decade between 20 and 60-plus, will be selected to win a $5,000 cash prize, a beauty bag from Estee Lauder, appear in a future issue of Harper’s Bazaar and be honored at a party in New York City.
One grand prize winner will be selected from the finalists and receive an additional cash prize of $5,000.
