Science Museum Oklahoma presents back-to-school fashion show, trunk show
Fashion can show up in the most unlikely places. Who would have thought that a back-to-school fashion and trunk show would find its way to the Science Shop at Science Museum Oklahoma in Oklahoma City.
Smarten Up! Science Is in Fashion will feature the latest in science fashion and accessories from 5:30 to 8 p.m. June 18.
“Science is cool and that includes fashion,” said Amanda Foote, store manager of The Science Shop and resident fashionista. “Just like the museum, our goal is to excite kids and parents about science. We want to dispel the myth that science is geeky and what better way than a fashion show with some of the hippest clothing and accessories in the city?”
The Science Shop worked with Gap Kids and Baby Gap at Penn Square Mall and Sweet ‘n Sassy to show how science is in fashion every day. Along with the fashion show, the event will include appetizers and cocktails, discounts from the Science Shop and Gap stores and door prizes.
While you’re there, check out the Science Shop’s makeover from an ordinary souvenir shop to a trendy boutique featuring unusual and interesting educational toys, trendy clothes and accessories.
