As I’ve said before, I’m loving pink lipstick these days.  But with warm days finally here, I’m looking forward to changing things up a bit and reaching for orange lipstick. Not clown orange.  Something softer or maybe a little sheer.

So an item about orange lipstick from Fashion Week Daily got my attention. FWD is crushing orange, too.  Whether you choose coral shades or a true tangerine, there are plenty of  shades available. FWD suggested  MAC lipstick in Vegas Volt, Meltdown and So Chaud.

See you at the MAC counter.

Freebie Friday: This week’s giveway is age-defying perfume

Ageless Fantasy perfume

Ageless Fantasy perfume

The sun is shining and that’s reason for a beauty product giveaway. I’m giving away a bottle of Ageless Fantasy perfume to TWO lucky winners.  The perfume retails for $120.

Never heard of Ageless Fantasy? It’s an age-defying perfume with a patent-pending elixir that defies your skin’s natural age-revealing scent, according to press information.

Research has proven that men who are near women who use Ageless Fantasy think they’re  at least eight years younger, the press release said.  This potent perfume potion is all hopped up with age transforming power of pink grapefruit, luscious mango, anti oxidant pomegranate. jasmine and musk, which has been clinically proven to make you smell younger.

AgelessFantasy achieves powerful euphoric properties, and sets off a feeling of youth and excitement. Smells youthful. Feels youthful. Is youthful, press info says.

To be entered in the drawing, send an e-mail with your name and address to fashionmatters@opubco.com. Deadline is midnight May 22. I’ll draw two lucky winners and put the perfume in the mail.

Leave your handbag at home and reach for a SPIbelt

SPIbelt, a small personal item to hold keys, cell phone, money, etc.

SPIbelt, a small personal item to hold keys, cell phone, money, etc.

Fanny packs may be practical, but they lost their cool factor a long time ago. If they ever had it. Here’s the newest reincarnation — the SPIbelt. It stands for small personal belt and is designed to hold IDs, cell phones, keys, money, credit cards or other must-haves for those times when you don’t want to be weighted down by a purse.

According to a recent market research survey, 95 percent of American women carry a handbag. A May 2009 Woman’s Day article reported that the average handbag “weighs 3.4 pounds and contains 67 items.” Most of these contents get tossed into the bag and don’t make it out until the weight of the bags starts to cause neck strain or aching shoulders.

SPIbelt  is sleek, expandable and secure. It retails for $19.95.

“SPIbelt was born of a need for a place to stow my keys while I embarked on my daily jog. Its original intent was one of functionality,” said Kim Overton, SPIbrand founder and SPIbelt creator.

“As I grew accustomed to that hands-free freedom, however, I yearned for it more and more. Suddenly, carrying around a bulky handbag wasn’t so appealing. That’s when I decided to give my functional creation a fashionable edge that would take it straight from the gym to the dining room and on to the dance floor. Now I never have to worry about someone stealing my purse. I can just get up, go and enjoy myself … and know I look good doing it.”
