Girls Night Out at Northpark Mall
Girls just want to have fun. No arguments from me. Now Northpark Mall is inviting women to enjoy refreshments, gaming, prizes and a visit from Elvis, who I have to wonder is still a hunk of burnin’ love.
Girls Night Out — “What Happens at Northpark, Stays at Northpark” will be from 5 to 8 p.m. April 2 inside the mall.
Refreshments and appetizers will be served while women try to win door prizes and specials. Each merchant will hold its own Vegas style theme inside their store. Five drawings will be held at 7:30 p.m. with the prizes being gift baskets compiled among merchants.
The event is free and open to the public. Northpark Mall is at NW 122 and May. For more information, go online to www.northparkmallokc.com.

Most of us are are always excited to find a product that actually does what it says it will do – whether it’s a moisturizer, mascara or lipstick. So, share your favorite cheap fixes. Wash that gray right out of your hair … in 10 minutes
It’s no secret that I have my hair colorist on speed dial, but I have been known to play beauty shop in the bathroom. Just for a root or bang touch-up. Nothing too serious.
But a new hair color product has caught my attention. It’s L’Oreal’s Excellence-To-Go, an at-home hair coloring product that takes less than half the time. And that’s for either roots or full application.
According to press information, the hair color collection came from the challenge to meet the demands of busy women on the go. The new formula offers the same color benefits of Excellence, including complete gray coverage in 10 minutes.
Choose from 12 shades. Cost is $9.49.
I’m not about to leave my colorist, but I think I’ll give this product a try next time I need a little bang touch-up. I’ll let you know what I think. Meanwhile, see you in a few weeks Michelle.

Liz Claiborne for spring … it’s a new Liz

Floral skirt and sweater by Liz Claiborne for spring 2009.
Have you seen the new Liz Claiborne collection for spring, the first one designed by Isaac Mizrahi? It’s at Dillard’s and Macy’s, and I think you’re going to be surprised.
After struggling for the last few years, the brand lured Mizrahi away from Target to infuse some energy and spirit into what was once one of American women’s favorite labels.
The new collection is colorful, snappy and modern, a welcome change from what Liz Claiborne had become. Sure, there are still pieces that will fit in a professional woman’s wardrobe, but most exciting are those pieces that are oh so Isaac, the ones that catch your eye and make you want to try them on.
Check out Liz Claiborne next time you’re at Dillard’s or Macy’s. You can also go online to www.lizclaiborne.com to see the looks, Isaac’s picks and videos.
