It’s a shame that Brooke is not a role model for some of these moronette wannabes that spend more time in court and jail than in front of a camera lens. Just saying.

I do think real women can relate to her — and those of us of a certain age have grown up with her — or maybe she’s grown up with us. Really, it’s just nice to see a celebrity who isn’t all about being a celebrity.

I think Brooke Shields is a great choice for Coppertone. I guess because we've all sort of "grown up" with her (hasn't she been an icon of beauty for 30 years now??), we can relate to her need to keep that flawless skin. I read a good interview with Brooke Shields where she discusses how she juggles her celebrity roles with her role as a mom. Being "relatable" is important, I think, in advertising, don't you?
