Celebrities put their stamp on apparel/accessories
Here’s the burning question — would you buy a lace nylon skirt by Elizabeth & James just because of the celebrity names behind it?
Stumped? Elizabeth & James is one of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s clothing lines.
It’s also one of the few that doesn’t carry the celebrity name. Anyway, celebrity designer lines are sprouting faster than weeds in the spring. I wrote about the trend in today’s Life section.
According to Women’s Wear Daily, there’s more than 50, with six or 10 more celebrities mulling the idea.
Some of the celebrities already successful with their apparel and accessories lines are Jessica Simpson, Paris Hilton, Victoria Beckham, Jay-Z, Reba McEntire and Kathy Ireland.
Is a Larry the Cable guy collection far behind?

Holiday gift idea: faux fur trimmed socks
I included this item in a round-up of beauty and fashion ideas in a story in The Oklahoman on Nov. 23. I just love these socks, so I think the idea needs to be tossed out again.
If Santa can’t afford fur-trimmed boots, consider knee-high socks with faux fur at the top. Wear them with boots and you get a similar look for a lot less money. The one-size-fits-all socks by Socks Appeal come in eight different fur trims, from snow leopard to black mink for $39 at Allyson’s Closet, NW 122 and May.
