Neiman Marcus 2008 Christmas Book is here
You know it’s time to start thinking about the holidays when the Neiman Marcus Christmas Book arrives. It landed on my desk a few minutes ago.
Fantasy gifts include his and hers life-size LEGO sculptures, a Dallas Cowboys Texas Stadium end zone, the M-Velope transformable structure and medieval and Renaissance-era rings. This year’s featured car is the BMW limited-edition 2009 BMW Individual 7 Series sedan.
Here’s more:
* Put 530 square yards of sporting history into your own backyard. The Texas stadium end zone includes pre-game photos in your zone with Jerry Jones, a luxury suite for the game, a once-in-a-lifetime post-game tailgate party with the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders on your new backyard, autographed memorabilia from Cowboys legends anda VIP package to attend the opening of the new stadium in 2009. The entire purchase price will be doanted to the Salvation Army, thanks to the Jerry Jones family. Cost: $500,000.
* Platinum wedding at the Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Beach, Calif. What you get: a personal engagement coach to take care of every detail, a couture gown and bridesmaid dresses by Carolina Herrera, up to 40 private ocean-view guest villas, a magical cake (would you expect less?), perfect flowers and private celebrity entertainment at the reception. Also includes resort events for the bridal party, a rehearsal dinner, after-reception party and gourmet breakfast the next day for family and guests. Cost: begins at $1.3 million.
* BMW 7 Series. To commemorate 31 years of the BMW 7 Series in the U.S., Neiman’s has just 31 of the cars for purchase. You also get a European adventure — two business-class tickets on Lufthansa from New York, gourmet meals, luxury hotel for four nights including Munich and the French Riviera and rare insider access to BMW. Cost: $160,000.
* Jack Nicklaus custom backyard golf course. He’ll create a formal design plan and color renderings for up to three holes and a practice area. Your construction crew builds from it, with supervision from the Nicklaus design team. When finished, Jack will stop by to play the first round with you, then sign his club and ball for you to treasure. Cost: starts at $1 million (construction and site prep not included)
Of course, the book is filled with clothes, accessories and other goodies — a few with prices that aren’t out of the ballpark. I spotted a box of NM exclusive 36 gourmet petit fours for $34.
