Oklahoma gets kicked out of the cellar on fuel prices

Oklahoma’s finally lost its grip on the lowest statewide average gas price in the nation.

On Wednesday, AAA’s www.fuelgaugereport.com showed Oklahoma with an average price of $2.047 cents a gallon.

Missouri, which had been getting close to Oklahoma’s cellar prices for fuel for more than a week, finally came in lower with an average price of $2.038 a gallon.

Typically, Missouri beats Oklahoma on gas prices    many say it’s because the Show Me State has lower state fuel taxes than Oklahoma does.

The national average for gas, meanwhile, also continues falling.

On Wednesday, the average price was $2.365 a gallon.
