First, WE have NOTHING to complain about. Our school systems are safe, provide education, shelter, and a path towards a good life. NOW... LISTEN STUDS AND LITTLE MISSES!!!! I have friends with children who live in NOLA, Detroit, Jersey, DC, Rochester, Oakland, St. Louis Missouri, etc....many moreOKC kids go to PC NORTH, Edmond, Nichold Hills School=FREE!!! Even John Marshall, Central, etc They go to school and get there and are safe,school is CLEAN, heat and air, get food, proper PROPER shelter, and education with teachers who care. Try one of the cities I listed. You CANNOT find a public school in any that are safe, where teachers are either leaving or just arrived bc school is so dirty, and kids are out of control. OKC HAS SCHOOLS. What I mean is that we have public schools that provide sound education, safety, food and drinks, clean bathrooms, usually heated or cooled but some not. These are schools folks. In these cities=DC/detroit/Rochester/New Orleans/Oakland/South Central L.A.(yes I have a friend with child there)/etc..This is the truth. There may be a SMALL SMALL few exceptions, but in these cities if you send you kid to public school, you are sending your kid to a place that at best is just a building and whether it meets 2011 building codes and standards is no question, they do no meet the bare minimum. Now, they have a shelter, so what to do as a child at a school all day. Class?????? Just another room with a chair and a clock. If there is any teaching be sure that there are greater things at play than teaching. Fear for personal safety, passing of illegal substances(pre-teens!!!!!!!!!)Okay so now they go to the Eating Area(cafeteria). For me it should be called risk assessment school bc most kids learn to assess the rick of whatr they eat, who they may have after them, if their property is stolen, etc......These are not schools!!!!! In summary, this OKC school thing will continue forever but wouldnt it be great if we just said togetheer "THE SCHOOLS ARE FINE! No, we wil complain. 911 they put pickels on my burger. GET GRIP! save 150 bucks, buy a backpack to donate to "the backpack program". Gives them all they need for schooling. OKC, we go to the store and buy FOOD!!!!!!! GROCERY IS EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!EVERWHERE!!!!!!! These cities I discuss like The Bronx dont have grocery stores people! convenience stores. Maybe we should focus on our leaders and their true help. I speak of PRIVATE SECTOR PEOPLE who actually make a difference. example: Cheseapeake/ DEVON/ LOVES COUNTRY/ the hard part is that most of the givers do so in private. receently deceased Wanda BAss. She is what Oklahoma should be. Appreciative, smart, listens, believes in keeping your word. If I had to complain about oklahoma it would be that we are allowing these kids to make as many babies as they can, then collect unemployment, get smokes with unemployment card, THIS IS WHAAT HAS CHANGED OKLAHOMA FROM A STATE OF ART/SCIENCE/OIL/etc....to a state of THUGS polluting their overcrowded appartments with no food, just words that come from a place of "I would have made it but for this, or that5, and I cant work bc of my shoulder, or, POLLUTION OF OUR ENGLISH LANGUAGE and our little kids are going to be carbon copies. ITS NOT THE SCHOOLS. State is beaughtiful. People jave become somthing less than what they had hoped for when we were told "you can be anything" Ok, here the deal folks.
