3 die in icy accident

It is so cold out there. I can’t imagine the horror, pain and shock of the winter plus icy cold water. Thoughts and prayers to all of those involved in the accident.

Zach Nash: overnight photog at City Hall

Zach Nash works for the city of OKC. He became stranded at City Hall during the blizzard. He posted pics and Tweets online. I contacted Zach via Twitter and hooked up Angi Bruss and Kyle Roberts for an interview. Zach had finally gotten home so OKC PIO Kristy Yager granted us some time to talk about her ordeal and Zach’s.

Great story. And great photographs.

Drivin’ and Cryin’

Those aren’t mug shots…

Here we go again

Was hoping we would have a calm, easy, El Nino winter.

Guess not.

Disaster declared in 59 counties

When it rains, it pours. And pours. And then it rains some more.

Hail rocks OKC

Hail the size of cats pounded NW OKC on Sunday.

Ok, maybe not. Perhaps it was only large fruit sized hail. Or marble. Whatever it was, it rained down hard and furious – and even sideways – on Sunday afternoon. I had three skylights smashed and a garage door that has now seen better days. But nothing major.

Not compared to those with busted windshields and broken windows. Seems Oklahoma only gets the Level 11 storms. Volume 10 isn’t good enough around here. Must be beyond full volume in intensity when it comes to weather.
