Lakers Roundtable: Mark Medina and The Oklahoman’s Darnell Mayberry preview the Lakers-Thunder series

I follow the LA Times’ Mark Medina as one of their Lakers bloggers. His blogs are often more in depth and more informative than his newspaper’s reporters. And I’m not sure if it’s because the LA Times merely repurposes the print story to the online version and Medina’s blogs are whatever length they need to be. But it’s a better read for me to see the longer version, and it often contains more info.

As I’ve said before, I’m a big Lakers fan. Medina and The Oklahoman’s Darnell Mayberry hook up in the above vid to discuss the first round clash between the defending champs and the hometown heroes.

Thunder to face Lakers in NBA playoffs

As a proud Laker fan I think LA will beat OKC in 4 or 5 games, but neither team is playing well. The Thunder have lost four of their last five, LA has lost three of its last four with two games remaining. Both teams look tired to me. Kobe is banged up. The Thunder will either thrive in the playoff pressure or gain some valuable lessons for next season.

Regardless, it’s a great time of year – the NBA playoffs! Hopefully storm season won’t take up too much of the screen.

Thunder media day

Today, the Thunder players and coaches assembled at the Cox Center for media opportunities, interviews and pictures. Tomorrow, the team begins training camp and practice.
