Thunder FastBreak: Close but not quite vs. Spurs

Thunder Fastbreak – sponsored by Eskridge Lexus

Big thanks to our friends at Eskridge Lexus for sponsoring our Thunder videos. Our video coverage consists of post-game press conferences and analysis from Darnell Mayberry and John Rohde at the Oklahoma City Arena. We will have weekly studio shows with Mayberry and Mike Sherman. And Thunder Fastbreak segments, like above, after every road game.

Behind the scenes of Air Thunder

Strong winds in Oklahoma, nothing new there.

Scott Brooks

We will live stream Air Thunder tonight at 7 on NewsOK and thunder.nba.com. The crew will be set up outside the Ford Center, weather permitting and it sounds like it will permit.

Plenty of Thunder stories, analysis, blogs, photos and videos can be found on NewsOK’s Thunder page. (And it’s sponsored by our friends at Homeland.) Game time tonight is 8:30.

Thunder coach Scott Brooks (dead ringer for Liam Neeson in my opinion) was named NBA Coach of the Year yesterday. Watch the press conference in its entirety below.

Berry Tramel, videographer

One of the innovations OPUBCO has embraced is putting video cameras in the hands of reporters.

Scary.

The idea is OPUBCO can develop a Verizon-network-map system of coverage by having video cameras wherever our reporters are. So instead of just a handful of videographers running around to various assignments, we have 30, 40 or 50 cameras within various neighborhoods, communities and events around the state.

And at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Berry Tramel and Darnell Mayberry traveled with the Oklahoma City Thunder to Los Angeles for Games 1 and 2 of the opening round NBA playoffs series. Berry shot the above video of Pau Gasol and Jeff Green. Gasol from his presser. Green in the locker room.

It’s a great example of “bringing back a visual pull-quote” to go within an article on NewsOK. Contextual content to give the reader a better multimedia experience.
