We outsource some of our video production (and writing and photography). The above video was produced by Tanner Herriott who worked at NewsOK for many years. I liked this video for its transparency and rawness. The guys in the band were just shooting the breeze and seemingly answering quite honestly to The Oklahoman’s Gene Triplett. And the outtakes that we’ll put to use were excellent as well.
We didn’t run into OKC’s most famous rocker this year, but here are two videos from 2009. Angi Bruss vs. Wayne Coyne in a Xmas list rundown. And Tanner Herriott‘s production of the Flaming Lips vs. well known Christmas tunes.
Enjoy and be merry.
Ryan Parrott, chef/owner of Iguana Grill, sat down a couple weeks ago with us. In fact, it was the same night we shot the interviews for the upcoming Skirvin video with Steve Lackmeyer and Jack Money.
Tanner Herriott and Dave Cathey handled the interview with Parrott. Tanner used the Canon 7D and a Zoom audio recorder. Great images, audio sounded great too considering it was only the onboard Zoom mic, stereo setting. Notice the “Top Chef” type shooting of the food and the rich colors.
And the funky music.
Steve talked about his favorite subject – Oklahoma City. Tanner had some coffee. A lot of coffee. Actually it was hot chocolate from Java Dave’s. Details…
This idea for OKC Central was we would drive around downtown and Bricktown and discuss upcoming changes to streets, streetscapes and parking. We used a Vado HD to capture the video with audio running through a Zoom. Tanner edited the piece together and added some sweet photos throughout as illustration.
Steve does a great job of explaining details upcoming, from one-way streets to the various lamp posts.
I check my rear view mirrors a lot. And side mirror. And oncoming and passing traffic.
Tanner drinks a lot of hot chocolate.
It’s how we do video, people.
Or a Sonic commercial.
