You had snow, camera, and nothing else to do…

Rick, that’s terrible news

I interviewed Rick Smith from the Norman office of the National Weather Service this morning. It’s a preview of the snow that’s coming tomorrow. And apparently we are close to setting an all-time record for snowfall during a winter season in the Oklahoma City area.

Storm hasn’t peaked yet?

Not what I wanted to hear. At all. Rick Smith, with the National Weather Service in Normantown, says expect the storm to peak this afternoon in the metro area.

We used Skype again to talk with Smith and expect to use Skype more and more in all kinds of interviews.

Shoveling out

Took about 20 minutes Saturday to shovel a path for one car to get out of the garage.

I hate winter.

A walk though the neighborhood on Christmas

As of 1 pm on Christmas, my neighborhood streets looked surprisingly passable. The driveway appeared to be the toughest area.

NW 122 had cars driving at decent speeds. Hefner Parkway also had moving traffic. The ramps had a few stuck cars and may have been still slow going.

Overall, looked like residents in NW OKC were getting out and about and driving around without much problem.
