COOP Ale Works invited to Strong Beer Festival in Colorado this weekend

COOP Ale Works has been invited to this weekend’s Strong Beer Festival in Boulder, Colorado. J.D. Merryweather messaged me on Twitter this week about the upcoming fest and an opportunity to talk beer.
I shot the above interview over at COOP on Wednesday evening. Quick shoot too. Spent about 15 minutes talking with J.D. and shooting the brewery with the Canon 7D, recording audio with a Zoom H4N.
J.D. also mentioned COOP would be participating in various upcoming events this spring and summer around the state and metro. Look for updates on those soon and over at the Thirsty Beagle.
Snow hits OKC. Again.
But it’s not as bad as last week. And it appears to be about over, if that green stuff on the radar is any indication. It was late to the party, then didn’t stay as long. I’m ok with that.
Here’s a morning video update, taped around 6:30 a.m. The OKC streets didn’t seem nearly as slick as last week, which wasn’t much fun. Still, there’s a lot of snow out there and it’s powdery and loose, so it’s slick in a snow slick way, not an icy slick way. I’m clearly not a meteorologist.
Daniel Walcher talks album, passion behind songs
PR man and good guy Rob Crissinger emailed a week ago, a press release about Daniel Walcher’s CD release party at the Blue Note in NW OKC on Saturday, Sept. 25.
Walcher, his wife Ramsey, and Crissinger stopped by the OPUBCO Studios this afternoon for an interview. Walcher has been in our studio before. Tanner Herriott produced another excellent episode of Static featuring an interview by George Lang and three songs, performed acoustic.
One of those songs, “Dishes In Her Dress,” is on the new album, the self-titled “Daniel Walcher.”
See the interview above, watch the previous interview and three songs and then get yourself over to the Blue Note on Saturday night. The beer is cold there.
