3 Things: Sports, courts and weather forecast for Tuesday
3 Things You Should Know: Johnathan Kayne
The last of the interview/sound bites from last Friday’s Toyscapes BlockParty OKC fashion show in Film Row.
(Speaking of sound, the audio crapped out when shooting in my office. Almost as if the internal mic from the MacBook Pro picked up the audio instead of the Sennheiser in the Sony A1U.)
Johnathan Kayne has been great to work with over the years. Angi Bruss has interviewed him many times. Seems like a great guy. I appreciate the time he provided after last week’s event.
He’s moving his design studio from Norman to the Nichols Hills area, he says around the Western/Wilshire area.

I’ve interviewed Jonathan Fowler a few times. Norman Music Festival. Wimgo videos. BlockParty OKC.
Great guy. Talented guy. Here are a few more excerpts from the interview at this past weekend’s fashion show event on Film Row in downtown OKC.
Here’s some cool stuff. Check out the Buzz blog on the Fowler VW site and on Facebook. Fowler has been involved in the production of 10 holiday songs from local bands called “Nice People Holiday Compilation 2010″. And, Merry Christmas, you have an opportunity at the free download. Plus, there are versions on vinyl.
Be sure to click on the cool concept VDub sessions too.
3 Things You Should Know: The Plaza District
As always, my friend and colleague Steve Lackmeyer has done a fine job with his latest article on the Plaza District, and how events held in that area are drawing business. You can read his article on NewsOK.com and watch the above video for 3 Things You Should Know about The Plaza District.
St. Patrick’s Day and beer
I ran into Sean Cummings last night at the Buy For Less on NW Expressway in NW OKC. Up to his elbow in flour, Cummings was in the bakery cheffing up bread in preparation of today’s St. Patrick’s Day festivities at Vito’s and Sean Cummings Irish Pub on North May and Grand.
Cummings said he was set to appear on this morning’s OKC Fox morning show around 5 am, then would work until 2 am at the Pub, then wind up buying his crew breakfast as they cleaned up until 5 am.
Long day for Cummings, but that’s good news for the rest of us. Last year, Cummings threw quite the party in the parking lot at the previous location further north on May. We’ll see if the weather cooperates today for an outside celebration.
McNellie’s told me a few weeks ago they planned a big truck with Guinness taps to accommodate today’s beer drinkers and that they planned to block off an area of the street in MidTown at NW 10th and Walker.
Did you know Guinness has a seasonal, lighter beer call 250? Much lighter in taste, not bad at all.
