Tom Brokaw talks about the media
The man with the golden pipes was in town today to talk at OSU’s business school series. He spoke at the Civic Center. Judging from the timelines on Twitter and Facebook, he delivered an energetic, compelling speech.
Our reporter Brianna Bailey provided me with footage of Brokaw’s pre-speech media opportunity. I edited down the 10 minutes into around 6 minutes. For a media presser it was awkward to hear long pauses between questions. I edited those out. Very awkward silences. Brokaw did a nice job of not seeming annoyed.

Food trucks + warm weather = large crowds for Hn8th street festival
I caught up with Dave Cathey, of food dude fame, a few blocks from where I live on Friday night. The Hn8th Street festival-food market-night market-reason to block off a street-whatever you want to call it event that happened on Friday night in MidTown seemed to be a success. Long lines. Storm clouds. Happy people. Just a few of the observations from the 90 minutes I spent talking with people and pressing record on the Canon 60D (shot with 16-35mm lens).
