NY Times is reporting tonight that CBS may outsource some of its reporting to CNN.

This is a big deal. And an indication where media is going. All media are facing cutbacks as people find their information in a wide variety of places – not just newspapers, TV and radio anymore.

As a result operations like CBS will make cuts or business decisions that make sense.

No deal is imminent, but it’s something to keep an eye on.
